I wanted to wait to write a review to see how long these would last. These were my runners/walkers exclusively for 5 months. I used them about 4 days a week, 2-5 miles per day. I'm sad to say these are already worn out and now causing heel pain because they are too squishy and have lost support. I wish I could find a shoe that would last.

I originally purchased these last month as nursing school shoes because I knew I would be on my feet a lot. While the comfort and support in them are great, my sole started coming unglued around the side and back on my left shoe about 3 weeks in wearing them 2x a week. I reached out to CS to see if anything could be done. Maybe exchange them for a new pair. They sent me out a new pairbut they are clearly used. Dirty bottoms and creased. Now I have one pair that is coming apart and another that is used. I'm a germ-a-phobe and wearing someone else's shoes that they've sweat in grosses me out. I wish I would have just returned the defective pair.

Great fit. Too "squishy" to walk for an extended length of time.

I have been buying Brooks running shoes for the last 10 years. I decided to try the Ghost Max and they were comfortable when I first got them. I walk 20 miles a week. After eight weeks, the soles were worn prematurely. Not happy with the durability of these shoes compared to all of the other Brooks running shoes I have used. With the soft sole and the tread wearing very thin, I ended up with plantar fasciitis.

Shoe is very stiff and hurts my feet. Doesn't feel like much cushion on my heels after 12 hour shifts. I should've stuck with glycerin.

Size and width and arch support just right. Unfortunately, even after wearing them for less than a minute around my living room, I could feel sharp pain in my left hip and thigh. I'm not spending $150.00 to try to break in sneakers. Three stars for well-fitting sneakers but that's all.

I have a history of plantar fasciitis which is alleviated by good arch support, and recently developed metatarsalgia. I've never tried Brooks before but from reading reviews and by reputation I thought these shoes would offer good arch support, a wide toe box, and lots of soft cushioning. But I don't feel any arch support or cushioning. The fit is comfortable but if I have to supply my own insole I might as well buy a cheaper shoe.

These have been my worst Brooks running shoes that I have ever owned. I went to a running shoe store to get sized then decided to order them off Brooks website using a military discount code. The inside of my feet develop terrible blisters almost immediately. I do not have this problem with my Brooks Ghost 16 or 17s. I wish I had tested them out sooner before the return timeline had passed since they are so low mileage.

The shoes looked great and seemed to fit well. However, after wearing a few times my feet were hurting. I wasn't able to wear them on the concrete floors I work on all day. Wasn't able to even wear them on errand days. One trip into a grocery store and that was all my feet could stand in these shoes. Am not able to send back because I've already worn them. Very disappointed with them.

While I do love my other pair of Brooks, Everytime I wear these ones I get a stitch in my calf after half a mile...everytime. These also are WALKING/RUNNING shoes - they will not keep you stable standing because of their propelling/bunch design. I'm probably just going to donate them since they're not helping me walk at all.

I was so excited to try these! I have been a Brooks wearer for years but switched to Hokas for the cushion. When I saw max cushion from Brooks, I couldn’t resist. I was so disappointed. The cushion is minimal and the shoe is kind of rigid overall. The regular Ghost is more comfortable. Right idea, poor execution. Not a max cushion shoe.

After just 3 weeks, there is already a hole in the fabric over my toes. This has never happened before after such a short time.

I'm a bigger guy and they were comfortable for a couple weeks but unfortunately are not working for me any longer. The top of the toe box seems very thin and will have holes develope prematurely.

Shoes do not fit properly. I have this same shoe in another color purchased in-person from Fleet Feet which do fit very well. Decision: from now on, need to purchase shoes in person from a shoe store to stop shop/return of most shoes purchased online.
I'd also recommend:
I cannot recommend any particular brand. There are too many to choose from.

With an orthotic it was OK however, I have a very high arch and without orthotic, there would be no arch support. It also has very little flex in the front toe. I have plantar fasciitis and have been told to look for a Shoe that has flex in the front.
