Overall great feel, love the extra cushion for my 12-hour shifts. Only problem with the shoes is that there isn't enough cushion at the back of the shoe and my Achilles rubs against the hard back of the shoe. Upgrade to the ghost max 2 and love them 100%.

I recently started walking 3-5 miles every morning and the shoes I was wearing just werent giving me the arch support and ankle stability that I needed. My son and daughter both do track and cross country and they told me to get myself a pair of Brooks, which are their favorite running shoes. So I decided to take their advice and get my own pair of Brooks. I chose the Ghost Max because of the extra cushioned sole and I am so happy with them. They are light weight but still offer the best support of any shoe I have ever had. I ordered the medium arch support because of my plantar fasciitis. The first week of walking in them my left foot struggled with getting used to having good arch support but now my feet are happy again. I absolutely love them and I get so many compliments on them too! My Brooks have been a game changer for me and I plan to never be without a pair of Brooks for the rest of my life.

I've worn the Ghost "number" (10, 11, 12, ...) over the past several years. When I went to online to order, I did the survey for the best fit sneaker. It recommended the Max. I decided to give it a try. The Max felt "airy", soft, and comfortable. I'm on my feet a lot as well as walk often. I also have plantar fascitis. The Ghost Max did meet what expectations.

First time I am purchasing the Ghost Max. I usually by the regular Ghost. I am very impressed. They have more cushioning and I feel more stable in the Max.

The Ghost Max is supposed to replace the Dyad. Its a very soft shoe. I would prefer the Dyad back.

I bought 4 different pairs of these and I tried on nearly TWELVE in store. They all fit differently but one thing was consistent: the 6.5 was WAY too small and the 7 was WAY too big. And I mean toes curling under in 6.5 and an inch of room in the 7. I cannot understand it. My normal running shoe size is a 7. Additionally the collar for the 6.5 was fine but in the 7 it would have given me blisters because it came up too high. These remind me of a shoe thats marketed as unisex where the proportions are for men and all wrong for women. I hated this shoe, it is enough to make me not try anything else from brooks.

I love this shoe! I wanted a shoe with a wider Toe Box and the Ghost Max fits that need perfectly. I ordinarily wear a 10.5, but Size 10 fit better in this wider shoe. I like this shoe so much that I ordered a second pair. SO comfortable!

Unfortunately, Brooks discontinued the Dyad series, since I require a 2E, Ghost Max is now my only option. I walk 5 miles everyday. The Ghost Max has okay cushion, but they feel & look like they push my footprint to the inner length of my foot. My weight is not distributed evenly. I will not buy another pair of these. I cannot find a pair of Dyad to replace them with. I will have to switch to a different brand.

This is the best ever walking and running shoe I have owned. I have had them for over 6 months and wear them often. They are NOT poorly made as per another review I read. I have extra wide feet and a bunion. Ordering another pair before they are all gone!!

I'm so happy to try new Brooks styles. The ones I got are all black and so light and comfy. The design is streamlined and can be worn easily as a casual dress shoe even for all day at work. I'm using these for work and light walking. I love them so much that I bought an all black Ghost for exercise!

I bought these as a recommendation from a podiatrist. As a PA I spend the majority of my day on my feet. The Brooks Ghost had been my go-to work shoe which became my everything shoe for years. The Ghost Max has now become my favorite. It no matter the stepsno matter the hoursmy feet have yet to hurt!

Not a runner! I got these for daily arch support as I have flat feet. These shoes are unbelievably comfortable. These run small, so size up. I normally wear between sizes 6.5-7.5 (depending on the individual pair), but I wear an 8.5 in these. There's ample toe room; I don't feel that my toes are as cramped as they would be with other shoes. Prior to this I was wearing Skechers ArchFit shoes which did cramp my toes. This also means much better ventilation. I live in Los Angeles and it is often very hot outside, so I appreciate that. Despite how roomy it is for my toes, the shoe fits snugly and I couldn't kick them off if I tried. I got them this summer so I haven't worn them in wet conditions yet. These shoes are squeakers!

I really like these for running and working as a nurse on my feet a lot. I like the cushion. I feel it helps with the impact. The color selection wasn't great, though. I got the white and feel like I have to clean the tops a lot.

Great looking shoe, and so comfortable, even out of the box. Although the recipient is not running in it, she is on her feet all day and is very happy with this shoe.

Super comfortable. Really helped make a bone spur not painful. But I didn't realize how much I liked having a little loop at the heel to help get them on.

My last pair of Brooks was the Adrenaline GTS 22 in size 9 wide. My bunion sticks out slightly in those so I thought I'd try double wide, but with this style, the size 9 double wide/EE felt a full size larger! With orthotics in it was maybe a 1/2 size difference, but my feet were still swimming. Wish they had worked out because I really like the extra cushioned sole and the color combo. Definitely appreciate the double wide option from Brooks, but there is probably some trick to getting the fit right!
I'd also recommend:
