These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned!!!! I'll be ordering them in the black as soon as they restock with my size.

I originally purchased the Ghost Max shoes (the blue/yellow Damon Brown special edition) to be my primary walking shoes this fall as I prepared for a week-long tour in southern Germany. After walking a couple of miles a day in them at home on regular pavement/sidewalks, I made a last-minute call to take them with me as my primary walking shoes for the trip.
I walked around 5 miles every day on old, uneven cobblestone streets, bricks, stonework, etc., and never once felt unstable or off balance. Paired with merino wool socks, my feet never got cold despite the 3-10C/30-40F degree, rainy and windy weather. And though my fifty-something-year-old hips and knees may have hurt at the end of the day from all the walking/climbing, my feet never did! Perfect touring shoes!
I did replace the regular shoes laces with elastic laces (with a slider for adjusting) to make them easy off/on at the airport, and those worked well for all the walking, too.

Comfortable walking however the extra cushion makes them, unstable putting pressure on the ankle.

Thick sole is very comfortable but does not give the same feel for running surface many runners like. This issue can create a balance issue until runner adjusts to a thicker sole.

I walk the front nine cart path of our Golf Course every morning and the Ghost Max gives me the cushion and support that my 76 year old feed need. I used to have an issue with Plantar fascitis but these shoes have almost eliminated that discomfort. I also have a bunion on one foot and I love that the toe area is smooth.

I was excited these shoes were so comfortable while I wore them around the house. But when I went for my 5 mile walk/jog I could barely get back home. My feet were in so much pain. Unfortunately they were returned.

I absolutely love these shoes! For years, I've had sore toes when I walk in other wide or extra wide shoes. These are actually wide enough for my fat feet! The cushioning is fantastic and the arch support is just enough. Right out of the box I walked several miles and wear them every day

I appreciate the Ghost Max overall fit, and the support and cushioning in the heel. I was expecting more cushioning in the mid and front of the shoe. I'm 6'3", 230 pounds and wear size 15 so I need arch support.

This is my 14 pair of Ghosts; including 4 pair of Auroras. The initial few runs were a struggle to get these "comfortable"every thing I did with these to start was same as all prior pairs. Wondering what I buy for my next pair

Absolutely love these for marathon training! They are shock-absorbing without being TOO squishy. Highly recommend!

Very Bulky and Hurt My Outside Ankles. Very hot. I got spoiled with the Hyperion line. In going back to that. These are super cushy, but so bulky that it takes away from the experience. They are too deep.

These shoes are too pointy in the front for people who need wide width shoes. You need to make shoes with a more open toe box that doesnt cut off the pinky toes

Once I got used to the drop in them I loved them. Took a day or two but after that my feet were in heaven. The cushioning is great as I have job where I am on my feet for long periods of time. Definitely recommend.

I have walked for years and the last 5 years I have worn Brooks. I have had the best results with the Ghost 13 and 14. I did the online test and it suggested the Ghost Max so I ordered those. I am so disappointed with this shoe! My feet, legs and hips hurt while I am walking its not like soreness which I have had it is more of an actual pain. I am going to try to figure out how to return the Ghost Max and order the Ghost 16.

This is my second pair of Brooks. I was so impressed by my first pair that I didn't look at any other brands this time. The Ghost Max is extremely comfortable with a very cushiony base. It is a bit roomy though and my foot moves around a bit more than I would prefer. If it had a slightly snugger fit, it would be perfect. Still deciding if they are keepers for the long haul.

This shoe definitely matches with the hype it has received. Right out of the box, the shoe was very comfortable and a smooth and fun ride. It felt like the shoe was propelling me forward.
I have run in the Ghost for many years and wanted to try out the Max. I am a mid-foot striker and have tight calves so was hoping the extra cushion may help. I was initially concerned about the heel drop difference between the regular Ghost and Ghost Max on my first run but found that it didnt affect me too much. And my calves felt great afterwards and not as tight as they typically feel post run.
The Max will now be part of my regular shoe rotation in my running schedule and couldnt be happier with the decision to purchase this shoe.

These shoes are awesome not just because of the cool design but also because it provides me the cushion I need to up my mileage as a pretty serious runner. They are a little bit wide but still definitely recommend the Ghost Max.

I like the shoe for daily walking. It took a few minutes to get used to the rolling heel toe feeling when walking. No pain and felt well cushioned.
