The material is thin and the jacket feels flimsy, but it is surprisingly warm. The light weight though should be good for travel as it rolls up well and fits in a carry on. It runs a bit small, I recommend sizing up, especially if you have a chest. Overpriced for what it is.

The order took a long time to arrive. I realized once I ordered it that I ordered the wrong size. The only option for exchange was to send it back and enclose the paper requesting the exchange. I have not heard from LL Bean nor received the jacket in the correct size. LL Bean did charge me for the jacket. I'm hoping it's just taking a long time and eventually I will get the exchange. Otherwise, I will contact LL Bean for my money back. I wish the exchange process happened online. TBD on whether or not it's a good jacket!

This coat is warm enough for 40 temps, which is what I was looking for. I ordered a medium which is my usual size and it is slightly large. It looks boxy.

As other reviews mention this coat is super thin. I finally had a chance to wear the coat and it did not keep me as warm as I would have expected. I have had other "warmer" rated coats from LL Bean over the years and find them good for winter temps when it's not snowing. I wore a vest under this jacket and was still feeling chilly while at an outdoor event in the dark. It is a nice looking coat but will not be a go to outside of the late fall temps that New England gets.

Not up to L.L.Bean standards. The pockets did not have zippers, just a central snap which is difficult to use when you have arthritis. It also wasn't warm enough for me even in 40 degree weather. If the coat had been half the cost, I might have kept it. Because it wasn't, I returned it.

Awesome lightweight but warm, wind breaking coat. Perfect for fall or spring. Deep enough pockets but only thing to make it better would be a zipper pocket on inside or outside zipper pockets

The fabric is lightweight and warm. However, the fit is tight in the shoulders, which makes layering difficult. As others have said, the zippers are a nightmare. There are two on one side and they dont work well. I tried a large and a medium size and neither worked for me.

Nice looking coat, but not enough room for my hips. I sized up, but it was still a bit too snug around my hips and the body, shoulders, and arms were noticeably too big. So not a great choice for women with pear or hourglass shapes.

I really wanted to love this coat but for the price I just could not justify keeping it. First of all the pockets are not fleece lined and they snap shut! Really? Also there is not a single slip pocket inside. How hard would it be just to add one to either side or even just have one? You can't comfortably fit the phone in the snap pocket either. I did like the fit and style but I found a competitors brand for nearly half of this , the zippered (!) pockets are lined with fleece and there's one internal pouch that fits my phone. Imagine that.

I bought this jacket and it's cute, but it's very, very thin. It's not worth a $149 with tax. Ing everything a 167, it just is not worth it. I bought this jacket to go hiking in Alaska. But I'm going to freeze in it. I have to buy another one that's warmer and a little bit thicker. They say this is insulated, but I don't see how

The horizontal stitching is unflattering. Bulkier than in the photos and coat runs small.

Unfortunately, the heavy zipper was a struggle to operate due to the heft-less material of the coat. The attached hood felt small and cheap with the elasticized and is non removable. Expected much higher quality for the price point. Returned

The zipper was broken and coat was too small. I returned it mid Dec and ask for a larger size but as yet I haven't received the new size or heard From you

Keeps warm enough although I can only close the zipper about half the time. Why that cheap, barely functional zipper was chosen for this coat is beyond me. Since I can't zip it up half the time, at least could have added INSIDE pockets. Regretful purchase.

I immediately knew this wasn't the right jacket for me the minute I picked up the bag and it weighed next to nothing. We were in a major cold snap and I put it on over my clothes and not only was it top form fitting but it wasn't warm enough in the slightest. I ended up exchanging it for the coziest warmest men's puffer coat. I LOVE it. But this thing was useless unless it's used as a layer but not your main coat.
