I loved this jacket when I tried it on at an LLBean store. It is soft and stylish, not bulky. I love it!

Really liked this coat when received. It was comfortable, light, and very nice looking. A friend asked me about the hood fit. I forgot to try. When I did, the hood fell into my face with no hood adjustment. What good is a hood if it's huge and you can't adjust it? Why does LL Bean neglect this important feature of a winter coat? I returned the coat unfortunately.

Perfect late Fall, early Spring jacket, rain or shine.

I got this for walking in cold weather. I like the slim fit and light weight as well as the hood. This coat is a bit more slim fitting than other slightly fitted coats I have in the same size from LL Bean. Still, I kept this coat and am enjoying it as the sizing is plenty generous in the arms. I just unzip it from the bottom for ease of walking.

This coat is as expected. Light weight, but warm. I bought a size large. I am 5'3, 155lbs and it fit perfect. I am not a winter weather kind of girl, but unfortunately live in NY so I must brave the elements to get from point A to point B. That's really all my coat is needed for, so I can't speak to how warm it would keep me for any long period of time.

Comfortable warm lightweight double zipper so easy in car

Perfect coat for Virginia weather. Very light weight. I am 5'2" and about 135 pounds, ordered Medium and fits nice. Hits at middle of my thigh, hood is attached and good fit. The snap pockets are cute but would better to have a zipper. There are no inside pockets. It has become my 'go to' coat. Love it!

I really like this coat - it is lightweight but warm and not too bulky. The length is perfect at about mid thigh ( I am 5'2" for reference). Also love the 2 way zipper and it is a nice metal zipper - not plastic

Great coat! Comfy, not bulky yet warm. I got a Small, and it's car coat length for me (5'3"). Also, I like the hood! Perfect.

Great light weight but warm coat! Yesterday 45 mph winds as I walked the 1/4 mile to get the mail at the end of the drivewayhood upworked!! The snapped pockets workas active as I am though zip would be nice to hang on to my iPhone & keyless. Comfortable w/o bulk!

I really like how lightweight this jacket is. The longer length helps keep one warm. This is a favorite I grab for running errands or to run to the gym. I get lots of compliments on the style and fit.

Just got this and have worn it a few times and so far I really like it. It's definitely not a super warm puffy coat but with another layer like a sweater or sweatshirt, it's just right. Fits well and the length is just right for me because I like to keep my backside covered. Nice pockets, zipper and attached hood. I bought an XL and the fit is just right. Might have been able to get a L, but I like a little room to move.

I chose the right jacket after thoroughly checking similar products at Bean and elsewhere. It's perfect for temperatures in the 30's and 40's and with a warm sweater even lower. I love the way the collar and hood work together so neither gets in the way. The 2-way zipper is great in the car and when I want to get something from a pants pocket. The body and sleeve lengths are ample, but not too long. The sizing is consistent with other Bean outdoor wear. I order a large in sweaters, but need the XL for jackets. The pockets are great, reaching nearly to the bottom of the jacket and I don't miss the zippers a bit as they often scratch the back of my hand. Add to that the very reasonable price and you have a winner.

I live in a four season climate at 3000 elevation and ride my horse outside and play pickleball through all seasons. This is the coat to own when you don't want to overheat but have the ability to layer underneath. It also vents from the two way zipper. Medium insulation with light seams at the wrists. Pockets deep enough to be useful. Not fancy but the coat I use most often. Soft to the touch and okay for very light rain or snow. The one I grab when I'm out the door over many more expensive coats. A must own.

I rarely post reviews but I had to come rave about this...coat? jacket? It's kind of in-between. I bought it about a month ago, just before a weekend trip to NYC in the fall. It was perfect for the trip (easily packable), and I've also been wearing it daily and for my frequent long walks. It is flattering, SUPER lightweight, and just warm enough. It is very minimalist - no interior pockets, no strings to cinch the hood, etc. which helps keep it lightweight. But it is so incredibly comfortable and not bulky - it's probably my favorite item of clothing I've purchased in years. The sleeves are a perfect length, i can pull them down to partially cover my hands if needed, but they also stay up over my hands easily too. I'm not sure if it will be enough when it gets REALLY cold and spending more than a few minutes outside, but there is room for layering under and it's perfect for daily wear in the cooler months. I'm a M/L in tops as I am busty, and the L is perfect. I can wear a sweater or sweatshirt underneath it comfortably.

New favorite fall coat. Comfortable, light weight, and warm for the early fall morning walks. Perfect for running errands where your in and of the cold. I went up a size to layer and its perfect.

This replaces a coat I bought about 10 years ago. It is light weight and warm for 40 degrees and above. Runs a little large so I can put sweater or sweatshirt under. You can tie it around your waist when shopping inside a mall it's so light.

A truly perfect weight late fall / early winter jacket. And the color, almost a mix between navy and charcoal grey, goes with anything. I've got a few coats in my front closet, but this is the one I've been reaching for most often.
