Bought these tights in grey for winter running and they were perfect- until the first time I tripped and snagged the knee on concrete and the tights tore! Three holes on the knee that I'm not sure can be sewn up. Called to see if this was covered under a product warranty because I'd only had them a few weeks and unfortunately it's not covered so I'm just stuck with holes in my new tights. Most of my winter running gear is from LL Bean and it's all held up to trips and slips and falls for years, so I am disappointed that these didn't even last for two months. Gave two stars because would be great tights for wearing just around the house.

I have these pants from last year and love them. The new pair I ordered has "LL Bean" in large white lettering at the bottom of one leg. This is unlike the older pair that has a much more subtle LL Bean name. I do not like the new pair and am going to return it.

I waited about three months before writing a review to make sure that I would give an honest and open review. I totally loved them when I first got them but now that I'm looking at them after three months of wearing them, probably about 15 times since I bought them, they are already peeling, which to me is a huge disappointment. This was a purchase that I debated on for a long time due to the price but finally bought a black and gray one. I was hoping to get years of wear out of this, but I don't believe that is going to be the case. I wish I would have been able to purchase the ones from previous years as many reviewer's raved about them. Please consider the many people who wish for the old version to return. Thank you.

Got these pants they were very short for only being 5ft. they also didn't keep me warm. I went back to store and found that the same size pants had a difference of 2 inches in length. I showed the salesperson and said there is obviously a manufacturing defect and they are not made exactly the same. Poor quality control. I got the pair that was 2 inches longer, they're okay but not keeping me as warm as expected. I told the salesperson to report this to customer service.

So i am on my second pair of these. Bought my first pair about a month ago...100 percent LOVE the way they fit, the way feel and how warm they are (only reason i gave a 2 and not a 1). I would live in them IF it was not for how poorly they wear. First pair i did return and sad to say i am going to probably return this pair as well. The other layer Pill like horrible. The first pair i thought maybe when they got washed someone did not wash them correctly i knew we hung to dry every time and washed inside out but not gentle cycle. So I figured i would give them a second chance. Washed second pair inside out on cold water on gentle cycle and wore them today and already pilling has occurred. Not just in the croch area but anywhere they touch other fabrics. If they contiune to pill like the first day after 4 wears these are the most expensive lounge pants i ever owned... As much as i love the warmth (can wear them in 20 degree for 45 mins out side and my legs did not get cold nothing else over them. And i love the fit... i just can not justify 89 dollars for what is gong to become pj pants.. guess they will be returned :( so sad...

I bought these and after wearing and washing twice per the instructions they have started pilling in 3 locations, near the rear on both sides and on one knee. I have only sat in a car, on my sofa and at my kitchen table. Very disappointed for $100+ leggings.

Terrible! I have these exact pants that I purchased over 10 years ago. They are still like new. Plenty of memory, fabric is smooth and fit like a glove. Thought I'd add a few colors and have some to wear some to wash. What a disaster. Fast forward to this year's model. Almost no stretch. Terrible fabric. Wore them twice and washed them (cold water, gentle cycle, hang to dry. Exactly as I've been doing with the original pair). They came out wrinkled, PILLED like you'd never believe unless you saw them, and the thermal loft is gone. Come on llbean! 110$ for this!? You have got to be kidding. I can go into any cheap store, pay 14$ and then I expect them to fall apart. Actually, they come out better than these.

These pants are warm and very comfortable. However, they pill WAY too easily. Pants that cost nearly $100 shouldn't do this. I'm surprised at all the positive reviews. Returned for a refund.

Just received and tried to try them on. I struggled to get them over my feet and calves. Finally got them up to my hips -they would go no further. I am very disappointed! I have many pairs of LLBean pants, jeans and shorts. Medium is my size. In addition to the basic size issue, the fabric has little stretch or give. Would not recommend.

These were a gift, and the material is great but they fit too tightly around the calf and ankle. There's a tiny pocket that won't hold anything I need to carry, so I'm returning

I tried on the version of the fleece leggings with pockets in store. XS petite fit perfectly. I bought those in green, but they didn't have my size with the pockets in black, so I grabbed this version (without pockets). I didn't bother trying them on. Bad decision. These are outrageously smaller. Super tight in the legs and I swear I heard seams snapping when I pulled over my hips. Incredibly frustrating.

I am 5' 7" and 125lbs... and am slim allover. I ordered these tights in my usual size small. When I tried them on, the legs were very tight, almost too much to be comfortable... but the top part around the hips was so large it was ridiculous. It gaped and folded on itself. Someone in the manufacturing side has made a serious error with this particular item. LL Bean needs to find the individuals responsible because this is unlike anything I have ever purchased at your store. When I was returning this item, another woman in line told me that she had had the same experience with these tights and had also returned them.

The fabric is not the same. I have been wearing my old fleece leggings to run and x-c ski for years. They are warm and wear like iron. They do not pill. Bring back the former leggings without the bold logo.

Please bring back the old ones from 6 + years ago. These are awful. Fabric is not the same and the ankles are tight. I have a pair that were made in El Salvador and they are heaven. Purchased the same size, a medium tall and they are not as comfortable.

I had to return these. I tried 2 different sizes and they both fit so strange. Way too tight in the legs and then huge at the waist. I tried a small and a medium. I am 5'7" 160lbs and usually a medium at llbean.

I will start with the positive: LL Bean stood by their promise of quality and took my return back without complaint, not even charging me the return shipping. The quality on the black fleece leggings was terrible. Fabric was thin, weirdly shiny on the surface, and not stretchy. The workmanship was poor, too. The waistband was sewn crooked and was huge. I have the same pants in green, four or five years old, in the same size as the black pair and am really sad that I could not keep the new pair. Thank you LL Bean, though, for your good customer support. I hope you are able to reissue these leggings in the future. My advice would be to cut your losses and dump this batch.

these are the most expensive fleece pants i have ever bought ,they were a gift. They are NOT holding up well at all. I tried to get my daughter to let me return them but she likes the fit and feel. But the fabric is pilling and does not look at all like a 100$ pair of pants.

When I first put these on, I thought they were warm and cozy. After two washings, pilling began on the seat of the tights and it got even worse on the third. It These are clearly made of very shoddy material and not worth the price. I would have returned them, but I failed to keep the return receipt.

I purchased these leggings two years ago and they were perfect. Well worth the money. For Christmas last year I asked for two more pair. I got them and they were completely different. I didn't return, as I wore them several times, but they are awful in comparison to the same tights the year before. They were baggy in places and the outside texture changed. I write this only to caution people who remember the older version. Try them on in the store first to make sure they are what you remember.

2 years ago I ordered a similar item (looked just the same in the catalog) it was great. good fit, warm & sturdy. Last year it appeared they only had a wide legged floppy bottom version. Sleazy fabric. returned it. This year I was pleased to see both versions -the floppy bottomed one and what appeared to be similar to my great pair from 2 years ago. bottoms were so tight I could barely get my foot into it - same sleazy fabric as last year. I had been so happy to find them again - what I thought were the original ones that I was SO disappointed. they are are going back today. I also recently had to return a fleece shirt - not the quality they used to be. I would rather pay more and get something good. I have been shopping at Beans since I was a teen ager (1960s). I used to look like a walking ad for LL Bean. what has happened?

i have a couple of pairs of "primaloft fleece tights" that I purchased from LLBean over the last few years. I practically live in them and they have held up washing after washing. They were $10 less then these tights but I figured the price increase was worth it. That's how great they are. Not anymore! These are nothing like the other tights...they are shiny and don't hug the leg and not as warm and are skimpy in the butt area. I love LLBean and hate to return but these are going back today and I'll baby my old ones. Soooo disappointed!

I got these last fall for outdoor walks, layering etc. Super disappointed in almost every aspect of these tights! They don't seem as warm as the thinner leggings I usually wear, but even worse is the quality. After a couple of wears and gentle washes they have pilled all over; not just between my thighs, but the front and backs of my legs, too. Additionally, they just don't hold their shape. I'm ok with a looser fit, but this is just poor material quality. After an hour of wearing/ walking, the knees and butt are all stretched and saggy- super unflattering. Overall, they look ratty and old, not like pants I've had for 6 months and worn infrequently. Hoping I just got a bad batch, but seeing the reviews makes me think others have had similar issues. I'd have been disappointed in these pants if I had paid $20 for them, paying close to $100 makes it worse. I saw a comment from LLBean saying they take returns up to a year so will try going that route.

I love this leggings. This is my favorite l.l bean leggings. I been buying this legging since last three years. They're very warm and stretchy perfect for north east winter. I bought another pair this year in November. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH ITS FABRIC. It's already peeling and they are very short in length then the previous one. Unfortunately I have to return this one. Requesting l.l bean to bring it's original fabric back.
