I love the material but they are tight around legs and little loose on thighs. I'm 5'3" tall and 119LB, bought regular S size. I decided to keep this anyway, but I think $99 is way overpriced for the fitting.

I own 3 pairs of these and love them that's why I bought another pair but was so disappointed that these did not have the side pocket. I would not have bought them if I had known this.

LOVE these tights in general, but there are some things one could address: 1)The pilling. I've started washing these with other "fuzzy" clothing, inside out, and hanging them to dry, because otherwise they pill too much. In my Eastern MT climate, hanging them to dry in the winter, takes an awfully long time for them to dry. 2) The price point. Could one offer these on sale from time to time (all of the colors)? 3) Could these be offered in more colors, like say charcoal gray, perhaps? Otherwise these fit well under jeans, in the winter and in general keep me toasty warm.

Purchased these for hiking in wind & rain. Good in the rain, but not as insulated as I anticipated given the price. They also don't stay up well, which is especially irritating when hiking/walking long distances. they do have a draw string but its a consistent band so its a little tricky to tie off in a way that isn't going to get too tight to undo. I'll keep wearing, but probably not hiking & wouldn't purchase again at this cost.

Bought a size up, hoping to be able to wear over regular leggings if needed. Barely fit on their own. Rise is too short. Leggings are skin tight. They are warm, though.

I consulted with online sales to determine my size for these fleece tights and was pleased with fit. The garment is so practical for walking outdoors in MIchigan winters. Cozy, comfy, warm. My main complaint is the wear of the fabric. Within two weeks of wearing them, they began to pill. I returned them (agent said no one had complained about it) and received a replacement. Turn-around time was great. I continued to wear them with pleasure, but again, within weeks the outer fabric began to pill again. Sadly I plan to return them. LLBean should design a more durable outer fabric. If it changes, then my rating is FIVE stars.

I've purchased more than 10 of these pants in the past 6 years. In past years, the quality was really good. I bought two pairs this year. They are not as thick as my other ones--the polar fleece is thinner. The outside layer is a more shiny spandex looking material. My biggest complaint is that after two/three times, they are wearing in the inside thigh area and have snags on the front of the legs. In fact, the next time I visit Freeport I am going to take a pair to customer service. I don't want to return them because they are all I wear in the winter here in Maine, but I do want them to know about the quality issues.

I have three pair of these in petite size, black that I have purchased over the passed four years. I took advantage of the sale this year and purchased the burgundy color. The fit is so disappointing, they fit way below my waist, very uncomfortable, I returned them, called LLB customer service to inquire about the sizing. I was told they are the same as the others I have. NOT, they must be made in another country, so disappointing. The up side is I found another supplier that has a "9" in its name, same tights, nice and warm, same price with pockets, petite length, in a nice blue. Hoping this company doesn't change suppliers. Sorry LLB.

Got these same pants same size Petite small about 5 years ago and this pair was lacking material in the lower leg. Compared to my other pair it was at least an inch less making it very tight around my ankle and I do have very thin ankles!

Very disappointed in these pants. I wear them for winter hiking and the seams on the outside of the legs are "fraying". Threads are hanging out along the entire seam. I am in the habit of washing all my fleece inside out and hanging to dry. I feel it is a manufacturing problem. Looks so ugly. I will contact to try and return. I have several different style pants from llbean and this is not a common problem.

I received these as a gift for Christmas three months ago. At first I was really pleased with them - they are really warm and perfect for winter hikes. But, the quality is really bad. After just a couple washes, they began to fray at the seams and pill. They now look like I have had them for years. Will be returning and looking for a different brand.

I was totally looking forward to getting these. I read all the reviews and based on those I ordered a medium. They fit but were tight so I returned them because I would not wear if uncomfortable. Especially since they were pricey at $99. Honestly they did not feel any different than my other leggings for $20. They also did not feel any warmer. I live in the mountains and wanted a heavier legging. So disappointed.

I actually first bought the PrimaLoft Fleece Tights with the pockets then returned because I thought they were somewhat loose and maybe I didn't need them where I live. ( Upsate of SC- not cold for that long) Decided to buy these without the pockets thinking they would fit the same way but w/o bulging pocket. Fit was very different and very strange; tight in calves, legs in general ( and I have slender legs) but loose around the waist with a back gap. I have some Merrill tights I wear almost daily for early morning walks and hikes, fit like a glove! Higher waist, secure but comfortable fit throughout. Design need to be worked on! Returned unfortunately.

I love the material and they are warm. However, the fit is a little strange. They fit very tight around the calves and ankles and too loose in the thighs, so they don't fit like a legging. I didn't become aware of this until I had worn them a while and they loosened up; otherwise, for that amount of money I would have returned them.

Didn't have my size in store, the store associate order them for me. They ordered the incorrect length (petite not regular). The fit (other than the length) is just ok, they tend to loosen up over the course of the day. These aren't the high quality fit and feel I love and expect from L.L. Bean. Now I wish I had returned them, I decided to give them a try but now I'm stuck with them and I'm out $100.

I have three pair of these from previous years. The fit is perfect in each of them. The new ones I just bought are terrible, the waist is really low, very uncomfortable. They were returned, please go back to the original style.

Fabric seemed nice (though I'm disappointed LLBean hasn't stuck with Polartec fabric), but the fit was so incomfortably tight in the calves that i wondered if I got a defective pair. For the price, the fit is a big disappointment. I am a size 6, ordered a medium.

My husband bought me these pants for Christmas in 2020 and I was so excited they were warm and fit perfectly. Unfortunately by February 2021 they were already badly piling but I decided I liked them too much to make a big deal of it. Well now in February of 2022 (let me remind you I am only wearing them for a few months a year during the winter) they already have thinning material in the buttock and a hole but can not be exchanged. They just are not worth the $100 for a few months of use. We have been LLBean card holders for over 20 years and I have never been so dissatisfied.

Not like last year's. Fit like tight tights that are lined. Also Thinner than last year's. I had hoped to get the longer M/T leg but this version is more like a running tight than a warm, lined legging. I will hold on to last year's version despite shorter leg. Return these. No idea why LL Bean would change a product that sold out last year because it was so well received.

I have a couple of pairs of the thick fleece tights that LLBean offered in the past couple of years. These are different: less thick fleece, less stretchy, and rather amazingly narrow in the calves and ankles and somewhat large through the hips. Great color, but I had to return them.

I bought these last season in the gray & black. When they were still $89.95. I would not pay $100+ for them. They are baggy, especially in the crotch area which looks really strange so i only wear them with tunic tops. They get stretched out after just putting them on for one wear & the only thing that helps is washing them again. Washing them, even when following care instructions & turning them inside out to wash they are pilling SO bad, it looks awful. And I've only worn them for one winter thus far. My first pair I got previous season (2019) are significantly thicker than the newer ones from 2020. Significantly warmer too. They are still wicked pilled & awful looking as well. Better off buying the cheap ones & replacing them every year unless you like the pilled pants look. Quality has gone down & price has increased. Very disappointing, LL Bean. Was really hoping these $90 (now $100) pants would hold up for at least a couple years. I cant even return them because the pilling was considered normal wear & tear. Theres no way the amount of pilling these pants have is normal for one season. Would not buy again, especially with the price increase. Can't attach photos. They are too large.

I have to agree with other reviewers that I was really disappointed in the near immediate pilling of these pants. Within three wears, the inner thigh started pilling. Within five wears, non-friction areas all over the front of thighs, calves, seat started pilling. They fit so well and are so comfy and cost so much and were out of stock, so I didn't want to return them right away last winter. But they look so worn now they can only be worn at home. If there was no pilling, I would own multiple pairs and probably wear them daily in cold months. I have noticed a number of LL Bean items pilling with minimal wear in recent years, from pants to sweaters to outerwear. As a lifelong loyal customer, I am losing faith in the durability of products, especially everyday clothing. My oldest items from LLB are in better shape than items purchased in the last couple years.

I so want to love these pants. They're comfortable, long enough, and warmer than my other leggings (although not quite as warm as I had hoped). Unfortunately, after only a few months they have pilled so badly that I will be returning them for a refund. I'd love to try another pair and hope this was an aberration, but since LL Bean requires that I pay to return a defective product, I can't afford to. I'm so disappointed!
