I really like this coat. The style, fit, material. It runs very small. Go up at least one size. Big problem I had was the smell. Not sure of what it smells like but a lot of people did notice it. I washed it several times and did everthing to get rid of the smell but I couldn't. I did return it and wanted to try another one but they were sold out. The ratings are based on the smell not anything else.

I am sorry but I am disappointed in this and need to return it. It is more like a jacket than a coat, but I did not have varied photos to see before I ordered it. It would have helped if I had seen it on a model. It is also cut very small. I almost always wear a small in Bean, but I would definitely need at least a Medium in this. I am a frequent very satisfied Bean customer, but this did not cut it with me.

I bought a gray item 2X, which is the perfect size for me. The left zipper pocket broke almost immediately upon getting it. And going through the website I have no idea now if I can get it replaced or what but I'm really disappointed.

Basically, you can see through it that is how lightweight it is. Cheaply made, flimsy zipper. I am unsure where LLBean is going with their quality frankly.

Well made coat, warm, slim waist, however the double zipper can be a challenge.

Hated the dual direction zipper. Fought with it for 20 minutes before deciding it was going back.

We returned the item and requested it be replaced with a different size. Still waiting for it to arrive

Catalog had a rainbow of colors unfortunately almost none in stock.

Very uncomfortable with certain tops underneath...fleece pulls on any cotton or sweater tops. Sleeves are not big enough to layer anything thick underneath. I wish I hadn't kept this coat. The warmth is fair, only for temps high 40s/50s. The hood is a joke - way too small. And the collar just bothers me as it pokes my chin when zippered up. I regret this purchase and wish I could return it.

Beautiful color. Unfortunately the quality and construction was not good, I have quite slender arms and the sleeves were too tight, disproportionately so. And the zipper was puckered in places. Had to return.

I gave a 1 star because this isn't fleece! If it is, it feels nothing like fleece! Ugly and so uncomfortable. I returned and am waiting for my refund. Which, by the way, takes forever to receive!

Zipper does not work properly. Sticks badly at bottom. Ordered XLP and Med Petite, both had same problem.

Sweater coat blue hooded medium coat. The fit was too tight. I wasn't expecting the inter face fabric to be clingy.

This was nothing like the one I have now--it basically looks the same until you actually see it in person and feel it. Same great zippers/pulls, but the newer one is more fitted, the sleeves are tighter, the fabric is not as thick/lofty, cozy/cuddly as mine. It's like a cheaper version of mine. I love mine so much and wear it so much that I wanted a second one in a darker color, but it was not meant to be....Maybe next fall?

Zipper doesn't work. Tjes jacket itself is good looking but without a functioning zipper it is not worth the cost.

Arms are too tight and length is too short. I have bought them in the past and they were great I don't know if anew company made them.

How perfect it would have been if it were made of Polartec Windbloc. LL Bean used to sell excellent light to medium weight jackets made of this material. I keep checking back every year to see if they are brought back. So far not.

Disappointed in quality and fit. I bought this item a few years ago, and loved it so much I ordered the same one as a replacement. The quality has declined as well as the fit. I returned it.

I first loved this jacket for the fit and warmth, but unfortuntalely after wearing it for a month both the pocket zippers broke (just from putting my bare hands in on a windy day) and then fabric pills covered the entire jacket, making it look years old. It did not wear well even during the first season.

This jacket runs very small so unfortunately had to return it. Nice looking jacket tho.

This is my first purchase from LLBean. I honestly am disappointed with the quality. It looks cheaply made and has no defined fit. I would not recommend this jacket. I believe you get what you pay for and this seems very overpriced for what you get. To make matters worse, I have to pay to return this poor quality item.

Coat was too small. Returned it same day received to exchange for XL. Still have not received replacement and it has been almost a month. I e-mailed LLBean & their reply was there is at least a 10-day turnaround time. Have heard NOTHING from the Company even acknowledging the return. I will probably cancel the order.

I bought my coat two years ago at an LL Bean brick and mortar store while on vacation. I was very pleased with it and loved the style. Suddenly last week the zipper quit working and I don't know why. I called to ask about returning it and was told that I had to produce the receipt. I didn't keep the receipt so I'm out of luck. Keep those receipts forever.

Did not fit. I got Xlarge so it would be roomy. (I'm not fat). Had to return it.

Initially very pleased with this item. Fit was great, warm and comfortable. It immediately started pilling and looked like it was several years old instead of only a few months old. I brought it to the Freeport customer service and was told they hadn't received any complaints about pills and that it was possibly washed incorrectly!! I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing! I want to return this item!!
