Sweater is not the best quality. Recently purchased and it's already filled with lint.

I have the same coat from a couple of years ago in a Medium. It is showing some wear (I love it) so decided to replace it. I bought a large to better accommodate wearing sweatshirts underneath. Disappointed with this sweater/jacket. It was very small and the outside material doesn't look/feel like fleece. I wish LL Bean would bring back the old hooded fleece zip ups they used to make.

Wanted to love this. Was cut quite slim given that it's a coat. I take a Small to Medium but the Medium was way too tight around the middle. Also, the zipper would not engage at the bottom. Loved the color, fabric, and quality of stitching. Brought it back.

Wore the coat for about a week and pocket zipper broke. I shop llbean because of better quality. This is not quay.

Coat was too tight in the hips. I have the jacket, in the same size, and it fits well. Returned the coat.

The shape and length of the tunic was nice. Outside fabric was odd and my hands were snaggy when touching it. The hood was ridiculously small and shaped funny. Looked like an Olympic "luge" hood. Sent it back.

Love the way it fits, and it's really warm. The only thing I don't like is that the sleeves aren't fleece.

I bought this coat a couple years ago. The style is so great but that material pills badly. A sweater comb barely fixes it. Happens even when washing it zipped up inside out.

It seemed rough inside and very uncomfortable. I am sending it back.

I was very disappointed with the material change on this sweater coat! It was stiff to the touch and didn't lay well. Needless to say it was returned. I don't mind paying more for a great product, please don't change for shortcuts!!

I fit in a medium in most brands but this 'medium' fit like a small and a large. When zipped it fit too snug and the sleeves were so long it just didn't look right. Nice material though. Still had to return.

The pocket zipper broke immediately. I'm going to have to return it.

Sizing is way off.I was vvery upset ordered a L and XL and they both didn't work for me. The XL fit too big and L too small across the chest. Then you have to pay $6.50 to send back. Not happy.

At first I wanted to return this item, but I didn't want to go through the trouble, it wasn't what I expected from the catalog description of it.

I was very excited to get this item ...it arrived and it looked Like a stretched out mess....material thinner than expected , stretched out and no shape ..unfortunately took tags off it so I'm stuck ...disappointed

I really liked the look of this coat. Just right for traveling in the car and going in and out of stores. Had to have it. When it arrived I opened it right away. I was so disappointed, it was very small across the chest area. It fit like a t-shirt. Sleeves were a little tight. Sleeves were tight so you couldn't wear a long sleeves under it. Length perfect. sorry but had to return it. First time I ever had to return LL Bean clothing.

This Sweater Fleece Coat looks good on and fit well, which is why I didn't return it. I purchased a Petite Medium. Although the coat was on sale, it was still $59, and for that amount of money I expect a lined coat. The interior is itchy, so a lining would have made all the difference. Most annoying is the zipper, which does not ever work smoothly. It requires a struggle literally every time I wear it. I had considered purchasing the black version at full price if this sale coat worked well. But spending over $120 for an item of this inferior quality is out of the question.

Wanted to love this, looks great, but is cheap, not the quality I would expect from LL Bean and for $99. Material was flimsy. Only wore it twice, for quick trips out, third time I put it on and put my hand in pocket before going out, there was a hole in it already! Left it home and decided to return. Wish the coat was a bit of a thicker, nicer material. Looks great on, but just feels cheap. Returning now, don't see anything else to choose to replace it in this price range that works for what I was hoping this would be--casual, for runs to store, over yoga clothes.

I really thought I'd like this jacket. I love the color, kelp green. That bought it 2 stars. I'm not sure why this jacket is called sweater or fleece. It's not very soft inside or out, I dislike the pockets, it runs small & too form fitting for a casual jacket. Not happy about paying shipping to return it.

people said order up a size. I'm a medium petite so I ordered a large- it was not shaped/fitted as described it was boxy and too large- so have to pay to return and exchange. I got the second one and washed on cold-dry on low and while still boxy - now the arms are tight with a light sweater. I really wanted to like this coat- but another return-

I should have read the 2 earlier reviews. I ordered it in the dark charcoal. I love this jacket--fits well and flatters. But the smell! It is a strange hybrid of cat urine and acrid burning ( my analytical nose), and it seems to intensify the longer I have the jacket. It does not wash out. For the first few days of ownership, I kept checking the cat box. It must be the particular dye. Sadly, I will have to return this jacket. LL Bean--I think this is something you should look into.
