Washes very well. Soft fabric and comfy around the neck - not too loose and not too tight.

Nice soft knit fabric for wearing alone or as a layer for warmth.

This cotton shirt is a smash, especially with a single monogram. And it works wonders under your cotton funnel neck sweater. All my LL Bean turtleneck sweaters are 110% better with the funnel neck sweater and I don't wear one without the other. Bread & Butter.

I purchased 3 of these T-necks in MP, my usual size. With one washing, the arms were so short and the length short too, the shirts are not comfortable. Couldn't return them, but I like them so much I was willing buy them again the M regular. I was able to get one, but the rest of the colors are sold out. I wear MP all the time but never with this problem. Disappointed.

Bought this for my daughter who loved the fit because it wasn't too boxy. She likes to wear these under her flannel shirts. Hard to find women's clothing at LLBeans that is more fitted; not everyone likes a lose fit. This was perfect.

For quite a few years this is the only long sleeved turtleneck that I will purchase. It never pills and colors stay true. The color selection is great and every season new colors are added. The price is costly for me but it is well worth it for the quality received.

I ordered both the turtle neck and the crew neck shirts, two of each. I really like them. The long sleeve crew is really good for our "changing" weather. Size is confusing, I have worn LLBean tshirts and turtle necks for years in a Medium, which fit perfectly. All of a sudden I'm getting Large. I had to return the first ones because they were too snug. Other than that,they are great.

I admit, I'm prejudiced. I love Bean's clothes. But there's a reason. They hold up well, size, color, age. They're classic so I don't have to worry about trends. I have some Bean's clothes that are really old and I still wear them! They are well made, to make an understatement. This shirt is no exception. It fit well. I like the color. And, I'm reassured, that with their guarantee, if there's ever anything that goes wrong, they will take care of it. What other store gives you such value?!

I bought two of the turtlenecks and they are perfect. They are soft and look great after washing. I love the fit! No rolling up the sleeves anymore, as they are just right. I highly recommend them, and may just buy a 3rd one!

This is my go to turtleneck. It is my favorite color and it is perfect with a monogram. It washes up heavenly and it is ready to go the next week.

I just received my third order of these, and when they're right, they're great! I am typically an XS/S. I first ordered SP; they were too big. I returned for XS but was sent XSP; they were too small and short. I called to complain and was sent the XS with free return shipping. These were just right. Honestly, I was frustrated after the second order and did not expect to keep the third. But I tried them on dutifully and ... they are great! Fit really is everything. So if they don't work for you, maybe try another size.

Good quality top. It fits nicely and is very comfortable. Good customer service and fast delivery.

I need petites in long sleeved tops, and I didn't notice that the product info said this top falls at the hip--therefore I didn't deduct a star--until after I opened it. The overall length is a little shorter than I'd prefer, but not so short that I'll return it. The sleeve length is perfect and the fit is true to size. The pima cotton is always so soft and smooth and launders well. This is a lightweight turtleneck, but not so thin that it can't be worn on its own, too. I bought it to mainly wear under one of my Scotch plaid flannel shirts and it works well for that and alone. It's just a little shorter than many tops. I really like the "slightly fitted" fit that is currently offered by LLB in some of their shirts and tees. It's not boxy or clingy, but just right. Please don't change that fit!

Love these turtlenecks, just one comment. I find they shrink a little bit with the first washing.

-bought yellow turtleneck. - it was backordered, but came just in time to get me out of the winter doldrums. - took advantage of the free monogram on neck. - love that, too!

This turtle is soft, warm and the neck has enough stretch to stand up after pulling it on. I never worry about things from LL Bean shrinking or not wearing well because of the awesome lifetime guarantee.

Great basic lightweight turtleneck for layering and wearing alone. Wide selection of colors. Tags on the side seam are annoying.

The color works for me. He size is ok. If the color works for you, buy it.

Great material. I found with several t shirts that they are not long enough so keep slipping out from my pants.

I ordered this size up based on other reviews and I'm happy. No one likes ordering bigger sizes, but it is what it is. Even with 100% cotton I wish they treated it differently so it softens more. It's not stiff just has that weird finish.

Lovely fabric and fit once washed, but the turtleneck is too loose for my personal preference. I don't want cold air getting in around my neck.

I had contacted Customer Service because I wanted a longer turtleneck than the turtleneck I bought last year, and this one was recommended. After washing, this turtleneck is two inches longer than the one from last year, so I am happy that I can now tuck it into my pants. However, this turtleneck is much thinner, and I would prefer one than is heavier for the cold winter weather we have been having. Please make turtlenecks that are both long and warm!

The cotton turtlenecks I received recently were, as always, soft and sturdy as usual. The only problem is the plastic tag sewn on the inside seam which is very itchy even after cutting it down to the seam.

The only thing I do not like about these items is that they are not warm. Made out of material that is cold and does not warm the body . Have to wear cuddle duds under the turtle neck to be warm. You may offer a turtleneck made of COTTON, if so let me know. My old shirts look pretty ragged.
