I'm 5'7 and weigh 159. After reading reviews, I ordered a 14 (usually a 12) and it fits like it's tailor made. It has a two-way zipper that I think works fine. It takes 10 extra seconds to properly load both heads at the bottom. I love the way the hood sits on my head. Very happy with my purchase.

I'm 5'6" and 150lbs and the 10 regular is a perfect fit. I'm happy with the lovely dark red color. The zipper works without any problem for me.

5' 5", 135 lbs, originally bought a size 6, but exchanged for a size 8. If I had larger boobs, I would have needed to go up an additional size (I'm pretty flat-chested).

The quality of my coat is excellent. Customer service was helpful and very courteous.

I followed the reviews advice and ordered 2 sizes up and the fit was perfect! Love the petite option so that my sleeves and lengths are spot on. Almost returned because of severely struggling with the zipper, but after adding a dab of Aquaphor to the leading edge I was able to work it out was very frustrating before that. The color is a burnt rust - a little unusual but quite nice IRL. Let's you feel a little dressy for travel etc.

I love duffel coats, but it seems these days it is no longer easy to find one that has a lining, a petite size option, and is also of high quality. This coat from L.L. Bean has all these! It is very beautiful and well made. The fabric was imported from Italy. It was hard to pick a color. I wanted the navy one, which looks very classy, but it seems a bit too dark. The camel one doesn't look like the type of light beige I want. So, I picked the gray one for its neutral shade. This color looks better in person than in the picture. Like some reviews said, the zipper is hard to pull up. I had to make sure the bottom zipper sits tightly at the bottom before being able to pull the upper zipper up. This coat is extremely well made and should last for a very long time. I stayed warm, outside, when the temperature was 20 degrees with wind. The fit is true to size.

Beautiful coat! Warm but not bulky. Timeless style. Camel color is classy. 5'4" 136lbs. Size 12 fits perfectly with sweater and turtleneck underneath. Pockets are deep enough. No issues with zipper. Wrinkles easily removed with steam. Only wish the hood didn't swallow my head. So big it can't be worn without a hat which is ludicrous since I want a hood to replace a hat. Overall I'm very pleased with this coat.

Beaut8iful coat. I returned it because it had a zipper and toggles to fasten it. either one would have been fine but trying ti use both was not easy.

I have always wanted a wool toggle coat. When I saw the clearance price on the barn red color, I couldn't say no. It is soft, warm and fits very nicely. They shipped the coat to me very fast.

I love this coat! It's really soft and feels like high quality wool. The inner zipper is nice or the big buttons are handy when you don't need to be fully zipped up. It definitely runs small, especially in the chest and shoulders. I returned the first one I got and went up 2 sizes to make sure I could wear a sweater comfortably.

I have had a "toggle"coat from LL Bean since I was 14. There are differences in the shapes and details over the years, but it has always been a warm, stylish, long lasting coat. This one is fitted, not relaxed. A size larger might be needed. The size help is great. And the cinnamon color is beautiful, a bit darker in person

Perfect fit. Very comfortable and cozy. Looks fantastic too. Loving my new jacket. Wanted one in this color for a long time and I finally broke down and ordered it. Had to exchange the first one I got because the size was off. Easy exchange and this one fits to a T. I've had L.L Bean products before and they were always made well and shoot the test of time. No doubt this one will last me for a long time too. Well worth the price.

I absolutely love this coat! It keeps me warm, even in below zero temps. I have the navy blue and have received compliments on its style.

Leaving this review just to help others who might be my dimensions - I'm 5'9", 315 pounds, wear a 3x top and 24 pants from most places, and this coat fits me great in a 3x. I was concerned about it zipping up and about it being too tight across the backside and neither of those came true. The sleeves also hit me at the perfect spot at the wrist, which doesn't always happen. Sometimes larger sizes are just scaled up from smaller sizes but there seems to have been some thought put into this patterning. Very pleased!

Very good quality, much more so than similar coats I've tried on at other stores. Keeps me very warm. It is very true to size. Very happy that this classic style coat is still available. Would very much recommend.

I just love this coat. It is warmer than my ski jackets and I don't look like a puffy balloon. It did take me three tries to get the size right. The stores don't carry the coat so I couldn't try it on. I am an XL in LLBean, so I got the 20. It came and was just a bit too small to look nice. I checked the size charts and the 1X had the same measurements so I got the 2X. It was huge. I went to the store to ask the sales people and also called the main customer service number to find out if the 1X would be an in between size. Nobody could tell me if the plus sizes are proportioned differently. So since I wasn't paying shipping each time, I ordered the 1X. It is perfect. For anyone who is wondering, there is a difference in fit when you go into the plus sizes. Had this not been a free shipping item with the ability to return it to a store, I probably would have given up on it. I'm glad I didn't!

The coat fit as expected and is both soft and warm. The lining makes it more windproof than most wool coats. The duffle buttons are both functional in creating a "windflap" over the zipper and stylish. The only downside is that the arms are a little slim and feel tight if I wear a bulky sweater. If you want a roomier arm you will need to size up.

This is a beautiful, high quality coat. The wool is soft and warm. I also love its petite sizing, it’s a true proportional petite, not just a shorter hem - of all the coats I’ve tried this year, this is the only one where the waist actually sits at my waist, not like a drop waist. However, it does seem to have been designed for people without much hip - this fits me well up top with room for a bulky sweater, but it’s snug across the hips to the point that the pockets gape a little. The top half is already comfortably roomy, I don’t feel like I have room to size up. I’m going to have to return, but I’d say this is a great coat for those with more slender hips, or who don’t have much of a butt.

It is a beautiful coat. Exactly what I was looking for a wool coat with a hood. The buttons make it so it can be dressy or casual. I couldn't be happier with this Christmas present from my husband.
