It does not fit well over sweaters..too tight. So I would suggest going with a larger size than you think you wear. The Zipper is not well manufactured since it snags frequently. So far it has provided adequate warmth.

I returned the coat as I was so disapointed The snaps seemed to be on the wrong side making it difficult to close. It was hard to put on as the lining kept sticking to my shirt. I have rarely had a problem with anything from LLBean so this was a big disapointment as I had hoped to splurge for a jacket that i really didn't need.

I bought this and returned it. The lining - which is stretchy - was shorter than the outer coat and pulled the entire edge of jacket under and made the side vent flip up. So it was a no.Unfortunate, as the outer fabric was soft and warm, and inner fabric a nice feel and color match. It is a construction issue that caused the distortion of the coat. Coat returned. Again: unfortunate, and I paid to return a coat with a construction problem.

Highly disappointed at the musty odor of the jacket when received. Recommend store purchase only.

I was so disappointed with the fit of this coat the body was way too big for the size and doesn't come in at the waist as I thought it did in the photos; the sleeves are too narrow to fit a sweater underneath or comfortably bend your elbows; and the collar is crazy high. It made me wonder whether LLBean took a close look at the coat and its dimensions.

I was completely shocked and disappointed. I thought L.L. Bean throughout the years and my wife has made many purchases at L.L. Bean. I wanted to surprise her with this coat when it came in I was horrified at the quality and the field and just the overall look of it maybe it's just a fluke in this particular line is no good but normally I never respond to these things except to give good review. This was a waste of my money and then I had to pay 650 to send it back they also got the order wrong and I was charged twice and had to wait to be refunded complete nightmare so sorry.

I had to return this, even though I ordered XL, which always fits me, sleeves too narrow, and I do not have fat arms. Disappointing.

The coat was not made well. There was sagging in the material.

I am so disappointed this Fleece Coat did not work for me as I really need a casual coat. The sleeves are far to tight and very uncomfortable. Garments like this should not be made tight. I absolutely HATE returning things as I am so busy.

This jacket doesn't look as good as in pictures or on the model . I ordered one for my daughter but it looked like a rag when it came. The material just doesn't look good to me. I returned it right away.

Always wear a XL. This XL was small, did not even meet. Sizing is not correct. Then having to pay to mail it back is a rip off , when it is there fault! Would not buy

Looks nice but its too stiff. But others may not agree. I wouldn't advise not purchasing due to this review . Well made.

This jacket was a Christmas present & when opened & tried on we noticed that one of the grommets was missing. Very disappointed! Will be sending it back for refund

Love the look of this coat but the sleeves are way too tight. No way could you wear anything but light weight shirt.

I own this coat in the shorter bomber jacket style and really like it So I ordered the same size (XS) again in this longer version. Big mistake! First, as others have commented, LL Bean has changed the lining to a cloth (from a smooth polyesyter) and the coat is very difficult to get on and off. Second, the design is very close-fitting and there is no give in the fabric, so it seems like a very uncomfortable and unforgiving garment. I don't think a larger size would remedy the problems, it's just a dull and uncomfortable design, and very unbecoming also. I'm even annoyed to have to pay return shipping, but back it goes!

I usually wear Medium but ordered Large in this coat and still it was tight.

This coat is huge and shapeless. I bought my customary size (S Reg) and it just hangs on me like a sack. Very unflattering! It is very warm, I'll give it that. And a nice color.

The jacket fit odd. And the off-white color actually looked dirty instead of off white.

While I will wear this coat, it us much too clingy in all the wrong places.

I normally wear petite xxs to petite xs. I ordered regular s. Sleeves were narrow and lining was terrible, uncomfortable, not easy get in and get out. Also the lining was causing unflattering full from inside made the outer fleece look bad

I ordered this and I am sending it back. The styling is terrible. The interior does not slide over your shirt. It grabs the sleeve and pulls it up. The snaps are difficult to snap . The soapstone color looks dirty.
