Boots are comfortable and warm. Hopefully they stay like that after I wear them for hours out West next month.

Beautiful style and the Zipper saves time. So you still have the laced look. Are keeping for best, so have not worn much, but so far so good.

Comfortable and pretty cool looking! Plus they zip right on and off! They are a bit heavy to wear around all day, but they are insulated with fake fur. My feet didn't sweat though. But I do wear those wool blend hiking socks usually, in Winter anyway. Also I usually wear a 9 in shoes but in these I needed an 8 1/2. I believe they run a bit big. I tried on both and returned the 9.

Size 8 - Black Nice quality boot! With wide feet and high arches & instep, I have always struggled to find footwear that fits properly. While these boots are not offered in wide, sometimes I get lucky. These have an ample toe box. Overall, they were a little snug at first, but I wore them around the house with a thicker wool sock to stretch out the leather and now they are roomy enough and very comfortable. And they seem to get softer every time I wear them. The length is true to size. They are not as heavy as they look. For comparison, I believe they are only a few ounces (total) heavier than the Stonington work boot. The sole is rugged and provides good traction. As for warmth, I consider them more of a warm everyday boot, not a boot for extended time in the snow or very low temps. The side zipper is nice, but I would have bought the boots without them. The insole is removeable, so when the lining gets too crushed or worn, they can be replaced. The extra laces are nice addition. I would buy these boots again.

warm. fits well. my 14 year old daughter loves them. Love how they can be tightened by the laces but can be put on quickly with the side zipper.

I stand at work all day. These winter shoes are very comfy and warm. I like the easy off zipper. They looked shiney in the catalogue, but they are not. Yay!

These are really well made boots! Fit well with good support. They will be too warm for me but I think people with cold feet will love them.

I am going to Germany during the winter. Can't wait to wear these boots. They are perfect for snow and sidewalks.

I wear a size 6 shoe. My body is used to walking in a shoe that fits my size, and this includes boots. The Camden Hills Alpine Boots are beautiful, well made, and I love the color. Though the inside of the boot fits my size 6 foot, the outside of the boot is like wearing a size 8. Though they fit, they look and feel HUGE when walking. This is my problem. I have to get used to wearing them.

These boots help keep my feet warm in the winter.months. It took just a couple of days to break them in to become comfortable. I wish all Bean would offer their quality boots & shoes in narrow sizes, again. Or, charge an additional price for a custom size.

I initially bought the 8.5 as reviewers indicated that they run large. I wear between an 8 and a 9 in most shoes (more towards 8 for leather). However, there is a plastic or hard piece in the back of the heel of the shoe that rubbed against my ankles until they bled. I think this piece should just be taken out as it appears to be for visual purposes only, maybe to keep the boot upright? But even with a smaller size (8) I can still feel it somewhat. The 8's are slightly too narrow but will stretch. They also rub against the sides of my ankles but I've figured out how to double the back of my sock to prevent bleeding. Overall, I recommend removing any hard pieces in the shoe's ankle area, the leather is thick enough to be upright and also I would make the toebox a little more almond shaped with a slightly wide area where feet tend to be wider (right before the toes). However, these shoes keep my feet warm in NYC winters so I'm keeping them.

Design flaw lacing grommet where ankle meets foot has very little allowance for overlap of boot to tongue so if you're not careful centering tongue when cinching water can leak in. Happened when walking in wet snow and rain mix. More of a fashion statement than a real winter boot for serious extended outdoor activity. They are warm and have a roomy toe box. Great if I can secure them enough to keep leaks out

Bought these in my usual Women's size 10. They were 1/2 size too big so I returned them and reordered a size 9.5. Leather is great. Lining is warm. Sole is grippy. Comes with 2 pairs of different colored laces. They're plenty wide. Take note that they are rather heavy.

I mostly love these boots, with a few small quibbles. The side zipper doesn't tuck neatly under the tab, and it really doesn't serve much of a purpose - you definitely can't use the zipper to get into and out of the boot without unlacing. The boots run slightly big, so my foot slides on the sole enough to give me a blister on the bottom of my foot, even when I am laced quite tightly. But the construction is very solid, they look good, and they are very warm.

The boots are very nice, look exactly as seen online. I ordered a Size 8 1/2 which is my exact size. I ordered the white color. They fit well however I have not yet worn them for any length of time. I like that they are lined with a fluffy substance since it makes them more comfortable. The one thing that surprised me was the fact that they are not made by L.L.Bean.

The boots are beautifully made. They are warm and comfortable. My feet are very happy. Took one star off for sizing - they run big! I sized 1/2 size down based on reviews, and good thing I did. I could have sized down a whole size but decided to keep what I bought. I wear them with a thick sock.

I purchased these boots for Christmas for my daughter in law. She loved the look and the quality of the boots. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is the sizing. She buys a size 7 in every shoe.The 7 in these was huge. She had to take them back to a store and exchange for a size 6. She says they are very comfortable and warm. LLBean always brings the quality. Just beware of the fact that they run big.

I returned the boot because it isn't water resistant.
