Color of the leather and overall look terrific. Sadly I had to return as the stitching rubbed on my heel, even with an mid weight wool sock. I live in a city and walk everywhere. Too expensive to hope for 'breaking in'.

Nice, but they REALLY hurt my feet. Tried with different types of socks and still sore upon wearing.

I have small feet but could not get these boots on. Also the color is different from what it appeared to be on line.

Looks great! but the height of the sides and stiffness of the leather, plus my foot's idiosyncrasies made the boots uncomfortable while walking.

The boot was beautiful but didn't fit. Previous reviews said they run true to size so I ordered a half size bigger so I can put my very thin insole/arch support in it. I put them on and they were too narrow. And I have a narrow foot anyway. Even without the insole they were too stiff across the bridge of my feet and hurt the bones at the base of my big toes when I would take a step. They may have broke in fine or stretched out but I didn't want to risk it due to the price. I had to return them unfortunately

Very nice boot but virtually unable to pull it on and take it off. It needs a zipper or a wider opening (my foot is quite narrow and still impossible to pull on)! Returned them.

I'm usually a true size 8, these boots fit slightly smaller than an 8. I will be returning them to order them a 1/2 size up!! Because otherwise they are a beautiful boot, sturdy and seem well made.

I wanted to love these, but they are really clunky even for the style. Maybe they would look better on a taller person, but I am petite and they looked ridiculous. They are slightly roomy, but I would recommend going with your regular size - the opening is a tight fit, which it should be.

I tried for more than 5 min to get these shoes on -- finally did and they are definitely the right size but I didn't find the back tab or the elastic on the sides to be sufficient help. I've owned many boots over the years and have never had to struggle like this to put on a pair. I also found the top portion to be too stiff, heavy and uncomfortable when I tried walking around my home. They are really sturdy, however, and seem nicely made.

This is a nice boot but was uncomfortable on my problematic feet. So I sent them back.

I love the look, feel and style of these boots. However I think they need a zipper to make them easier to put on and take off. Because of that I ended up returning them.

These look pretty nice, except for such a large elastic inset, but had the heel height I wanted. However, they are made for women with very wide legs and feet. They slopped around when I walked. Returned.

They look cute but not very comfortable... I am hoping to return mine and get a pair of blundstones.

Nice looking rugged boots, love color of leather and soles. But the top part going around my lower leg was rubbing and causing red marks and irritation.

I wanted to love these so much! They are very cute and pretty comfortable - but they were just too narrow for me. I wore them indoors for a few hours at a time for about a month and could never get them to stretch enough width-wise so ultimately returned them. Would recommend for someone with narrow feet.

Loved the style and color. Excited to get them but had to return. Too hard to get on with small opening any my high arch. Bring them back with larger opening/please! Size 8 and my foot is narrow but still a fight to get on!

Bought for a quick step in with that soles for ice and snow. The quality was good but apparently I have a high instep that made it difficult to just slip into. A zipper would help. When I reviewed length and width it is the upper part of boot.

Purchased these after my 10 year old boots wore out. Love them- just wish the leather was softer/forms to your foot, & that they had a side zipper. I feel like I am going to throw my back out every time I try to get them on. Also- the traction doesn't seem on par with a "winter boot". If we could mesh all of these concepts, we would have a winner here!

Loved the look of these boots and purchased even after reading reviews about the fit. I have narrow feet and hoped these would fit as others noted they were tight. While the fit was good, the boots were VERY stiff and had no give in the back which became quite uncomfortable while I wore the boots around in the house a bit . Eventually had to return. Sad about that as I really liked the look.

These boots are nice looking and trust to size but too stiff.

For me these boots were hard to pull on. I was looking for a higher Chelsea pull on but they didn't have the stretch

I wanted to love these. They are good looking but there was absolutely no way to get my foot in past the neck of the boot. I tried multiple times. Even had my husband try to help and bought a long shoe horn to assist with no luck. I have small, normal shaped feet so I don't know what the issue is. I returned them to the LL Bean store and they said that this is common. These need a redesign. I was required to choose whether the length or width were a problem. I honestly don't know because I couldn't get my foot in to a horizontal position.

Very attractive boot, and exactly what I was looking for until I put them on. The force required to get this boot on caused me to break a sweat. seriously, I was out of breath and nearly strained my back, LOL. I tried wearing them for a few minutes to see if they might somehow work, but had to take them off when I lost circulation to my feet and my toes started to numb. The boot was completely inflexible in every place, which made it hard to get on, hard to walk in, hard to get off. I had to send them back. They are very pretty boots though.
