Great for work or weekend w jeans. I wear 7.5 and sized up to 8 and fit perfectly. Other reviews say it was difficult to get boot on but I found the elastic stretches enough to allow my foot room and the back tab helps. It's a boot not a shoe so will take a bit more work to put on. It's worth it. Very well made, very comfortable and looks very good on. I've worn to work and looks nice with skirts dresses or pants. The color is very rich and soft. I would highly recommend it!

These boots are so cute and I get compliments every time I wear them! They're a little snug, especially with a larger sock, but I'm hoping they'll "break in" nicely.

Bought these a half-size up from my usual size 8 and they are PERFECT for the winter>spring transition. I treated them w/ leather protection spray and they're perfect kick-around boots for all weather. Have been getting TONS of compliments on them!

Love these boots. They are a little difficult to put on and off initially but that improves as they become worn. They are well made, stylish, comfortable and will last a long time. So glad I made this purchase. LLBean boots never disappoint

The title of this review is comprised of phrases from the product description. The product description is very accurate! I LOVE these boots. With the thickest LLBean socks, these boots work just fine for playing in the snow with my kids. With cotton rag LLBean socks, these boots are great for almost any circumstance. The only downside is that the boots really are very difficult to get on and off. Not in the annoying "too many fasteners" or "too hard to lace up" sort of way, but rather in the "flapping around the kitchen trying to shake one's foot free from the boot while the rest of the family looks on in shock" sort of way. But I am willing to live with that. I just hope that the elastic portion of the boot lasts for the long haul, as elastic tends not to last forever.

I wanted boots that were sturdy with a low heal and wide surface area when walking. I was concerned that these boots would not look dressy enough, but I wore them today with a suit and though they did not look "dressy (narrow with a heel)" they were fine. I felt safe walking in snow. They were warm with a regular pair of socks.

Love the boots, but the height over the ankle does take some getting used to. Very comfortable now that they are broken in and softer. Mine are black and I love the color.

I get so many compliments on these boots! I love them so much. I wish they made them in men's, so I could buy my husband a pair, too! I have a high arch and usually have a difficultly getting my foot into boots without zippers or laces, but the stretchy sides make it easy to put on and take off. Plus, the loop at the ankle is helpful for pulling them on. The leather and other materials are high quality. They are a little heavy, so walking in them takes a little getting used to. Now that I've started breaking them in, they are very comfortable and not so stiff. They are also warm. I've found that wearing typical socks, not heavy/thick socks, makes a perfect fit. I tried heavy socks, and they make the boots too tight around my toes. They're also fashionable. They look great with jeans or a long boho skirt...dress them up or down. I love them and hope they last for years to come!

OMG - these boots are so stinkin' cute! I've been looking for a long time for a Chelsea boot with just the right proportions and this is it!! I am usually a size 8, but I'm so glad I ordered a size 8 1/2. They fit just right and are well made. Shipping was super fast. THANK YOU!

We were worried about serious cold feet having left California for North Texas in tennis shoes, but not any more! These boots are perfect for shopping on the square or attending Worship on Sunday. Both their form and function rate six stars.

I was looking for a solid Chelsea boot that fit my wider feet, and these more than fit what I wanted. They were comfy right out of the box, and don't pinch my toes at all. If I had more $ I would buy them in the brown color as well, but I have worn the black ones almost every day so far!

Normally wear 8.5 shoes. These were a little snug but I knew 9 would be too big if I exchanged. I love these boots

Recommend going up a half size especially if you pair with thicker socks. Great fall boot with good tread, excited to wear them this winter. I got the brown color and it was hard to pick just one! They're comfortable, practical, and look great!

Love the look, the quality, and the sturdiness of these boots. They are very comfortable for my aging feet (read: bunions!) because they give just a bit.

If you are looking for a well-crafted, sturdy, comfortable, stylish boot, look no further! I like how they're a bit taller than your average chelsea or ankle boot. They look great with skinny jeans or leggings and chunky socks. I have wider feet, so I went up half a size just in case. There's plenty of room inside and I have no problem taking them on and off. You will not regret this purchase!

I love my new winter boots!!! They were exactly what I was looking for! I normally wear a size 8 but they were a bit short, so I ordered a 8.5 and they fit perfect!

Looks good, comfortable, well made. I wore these a few hours for the first time. Not much breaking in needed. I stayed comfortable through out my trip.
