Love this skirt--super cute, light, warm, comfortable, nice cut. Great over leggings! It runs just a bit bigger, maybe 1/4-1/2 a size, than the size chart. And ignore the "true fit" recommendation completely! I'm at the top end of the small chart (waist 26.5, hip 38), and the small is not snug at all. I bought emerald green (which is actually teal), liked it so much, I ordered one in eggplant.

I've been looking for an item like this forever! The quilted part of the skirt lays flat, no Michelin Man look. Super comfortable and has pockets! I know it's very "in" and ok to run about town in leggings, but I really want my backside covered when I'm doing errands after a work out. This is so great because I can pull it on so easy any time I want a cover up, and I still look great!

I find endless opportunities to wear this skirt. Nordic skiing, to yoga, hiking, lounging, going for a walk, out to the coffee shop. You name it! Recently went on a 5 day backpacking trip in Iceland and yes I packed and wore this skirt. It's so good I just bought a second color. The mink is a gorgeous deep brown. The new one feels looser in the hips/thighs. Overall these skirts are fabulous!!!

I bought this to walk in on cold mornings but I am wearing it all of the time. I purchased a size larger for the length and I'm glad I did. Love the pockets and comfy fit.

Great over leggings on a cold day. Keeps your rear warm without the bulk of other brands. But also, is darn cute! It doesn't stretch or pooch out in odd ways like some other brands do.

Super cute and warm and useful if your butt gets cold in leggings. Would look cuter if I lost 30 pounds but that goes for all my clothes.

Bought for my wife for Christmas even though it was not on her list. She loves it! She will use it for apres ski as well as for running. It seems to be of the same high quality as the rest of our Smartwool stuff.

I sized up to wear running and am happy with the fit. Keep my bum warm.

I love this skirt!

I purchased the smartloft skirt because I wanted to be able to wear my wool leggings outside without feeling like my bum was hanging out if my shirts/jacket weren't long enough. I am 6' tall and while I wish the skirt was just an inch or two longer, I am satisfied with it. I have not stopped wearing it while I'm out walking, doing errands, sitting on the back porch, etc. My thighs and bum are warm and I am happy with the extra layer. The inner pocket is great to hold my ear pod case and the side pockets are great for a phone or keys. Plus they are lined and it means I can keep my hands warm too! I plan on wearing the skirt over my leggings while out sledding, sitting around the fire pit and snowshoeing this winter. Looking forward to staying warm while enjoying the outdoors. I purchased the Medium knowing that I would be wearing layers underneath it. I definitely could have purchased a Small but I wanted some wiggle room for winter weight and layers. It really is the comfiest skirt I've ever owned.

I have two of these now. They are super comfy and warm. One of my favorite things to wear with tights in the winter. And, customer service is very helpful!

Like to wear all occasions and weather.

I love Smartwool products, and the Smartloft skirt is fabulous! The almond color goes with so many things. I usually wear my skirt over leggings. The medium size fits my 5‘4“ frame great and it makes me feel wonderful. These skirts really do keep your upper thighs and backside warm in cold weather.

I love this skirt. I have tried other padded skirts from other companies and none of them are as comfortable as the Smartloft skirt. It's warm, attractive and the best thing is that it stretches and moves with you. Others are stiff and uncomfortable.

I wear them for a little bit of modesty over tights with shorter sweaters. For the times when just leggings aren't appropriate.

I love the skirt over my leggins. I use when walking or just going shopping.

Very comfortable and warm winter skirt to wear with leggings. Love the pockets! I always appreciate when reviewers give their size . . . I'm 5'2", ~130lbs, got a size M. Very comfortable fit. Loose enough to wear over leggings and tuck in a cotton tank top with a 250 smartwool base layer. But not so loose the skirt falls off when no shirt is tucked in. Wash in cold and dry on low with no shrinkage.

So happy with this skirt! Keeps the bum so warm!! Bought one for my daughter also & she loves it!

Warm, stylish, and functional! I found this to be true to size and the cut provided enough movement when running a technical trail race. Everyone on my team now wants one for those chilly Colorado runs! So happy I bought this!

Comfy, fits over my ski tights, keeps my thighs and bum warm!

Great layer over tights for work and large side pockets! It has pockets!!!!! I just ish there was a sire between medium and large. Med is the ok small but large is to large.

This skirt is great, but since i am a usually a 10-12, I am between the M (8-10) and the large (12-14). The medium barely fit over my hips and the large is loose around my waist and the skirt line goes out a bit too much. would be nice if there was an in-between size! that said the large will work fine with layering and is great for keeping the bum warm during winter sports

The skirt is good quality but I could not find a size that fits. Large was falling off and medium felt restrictive. I ended up returning and buying another brand. For reference: waist 29in and hips are 40in.

Looks nice, the only thing is a small feels a little too big for my wife, she is petite doesn't fit her the way she would like. But great material and the quality is amazing.
