It's so nice to get a new pair of shoes, put them on and Aah so comfortable.

I always go for the XA Pro 3D. I don't normally go for the Goretex. As others have mentioned, this and other models are longer than in previous years. I've always gone with the same size & had to size down a half size for all shoes this year. The Goretex liner is built into the upper tongue area better than in previous years - no more sock to slip into - or it wouldn't be an option for me. The toe cap & sole are key for features for me. Fortunately the sides (near the ankle) are lower - some of the previous Goretex models were too high. The lacing system doesn't seem as durable as previous models & I hope it holds up. Thats my only concern. The stiff soles (that I want) make them a bit less comfortable than some of the lighter shoes but these are great for legit hiking.

Second pair of these. First pair i wore for 10!years and wore out. These shoes are amazingly comfortable, dry, light and versatile. Wouldn't settle for anything less. Such a perfect fit- i feel like i have no shoes in my feet. Dog walking, hiking, trail running, my feet stay dry and looking great.

I am out with my dog a lot and my new Salomons served me well so far. They are a perfect fit for my foot. I'd be hard pressed to find a more comfortable shoe. Unlike a similar pair of Nike waterproof trail running shoes I own, this pair has kept my feet dry. Cannot comment on durability as it's a recent purchase. The price point is quite high.

Four years ago I purchased a pair of Salomon Gore-tex trail hikers, when I had my right hip replace. I wanted shoes I could slip on and off. I LOVED my old shoes and wore them so much that they were finally starting to wear out. Salomon wasn't making them anymore, so I took a chance on the XA PRO 3D V9 GORE-TEX. I LOVE them. I had my left hip replaced June 19, so I was hoping for the same convenience as the old shoes. These are great and I like them better overall than my older ones.

Great shoe, for hiking with great support and feel. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great all round shoe.

I have been using these shoes for the past few years. We go crazy hiking that are very strenuous and long distance on various terrains (mud, clay, creek, rock, etc.). These shoes hold up so well, and no parts look damaged or need repairs. My feet never get tired or hurt. I use Darntough socks to go with.

I bought these shoes a couple of months ago and took them hiking in Vietnam. I even climbed a mountain in them with no regrets. They double as a running shoe so I didn't need to bring hiking shoes and running shoes which saved a lot of space. These Solomans were a great purchase.

I have been wearing this shoe for years. I hope it stays around!

I have been wearing XA Pro 3D's for many, many years. I use custom orthotics and these shoes provide the room I require for the orthotics to fit comfortably in the shoes. I have found the XA Pro 3D to be a very comfortable and durable shoe. The best shoe is always the one that fits your foot.

I've had many pairs of Salomon XA Pro. I've tried other brands but nothing beats these. Love the goretex it just gives that extra protection when conditions are tough. Great for walking the dog, scrambling over rough terrain or just going to the shop.

When I find a shoe that fits my high arch with great footbed support and stability I'm happy. It's not easy for me to find the total package in a shoe. I also like the easy lacing system so I never have to stop to tie a shoe! I wish the colors were a bit more subtle, but I like the gore tex material so I just buy what you have in my size. Please don't make any drastic changes!

Shoe bed is comfortable and can wear 12 hrs and no problem. The toe box is ample for a wide foot. I like not having to toe shoe laces and can adjust the fit in seconds. The exterior colors are fabulous and i like the waterproof feature for any day can wear. Received several compliments.

Have had previous versions of this shoe - this one doesn't disappoint. Easy lace up. Comfortable foot bed - no lifting/sliding in heel. Feels like my foot is cradled. Amazing gripeven on wet slippery rocks. And of course, waterproof (tested that feature day one!). Overall. very satisfied with this shoe.

Awesome shoes. This is my 6th. I prefer the old location of the cord pocket.
