Nice pockets. Very warm. You could make them in a tall size medium or make them just about 2-3 inches longer in the legs.

These tights allow me to run in cold weather. They do run slightly small, but not terribly so. I am a small and ordered a small, and they do fit, but I could use a bit more give in the rise-not enough to size up, but if you are close and inbetween sizes take note. My only complaint is that my backside gets cold. Usually around the 30 minute mark outside, I can feel my buttocks getting a chill. I wish the entire legging could be incased in the same wind protection on the front. Besides that, they are way warmer than any artificially lined fabric leggings that I have tried.

Really comfy I love the fabric of these pants. They kept me warm for the most part with the exception of the rear end. I only wish they either made these in petites or the inseam shorter. It seems like they were made for giants.

I bought these to use when I run outside this winter, Wisconsin can get cold. I used them last week when it was only in the low 20's and a little windy. They definitely kept my legs warm and seemed to keep the wind at bay. The reason for the 4 star review is while they were awesome at keeping me warm, I disliked that the waist did not have some kind of drawstring. I normally wear large, but ordered an xl based on other reviews. They are a little big on me where a drawstring would make them fit fine. I couldn't run with my phone in the side pockets because they would fall down.

I use these leggings for walking and running. I love them for running since they're the only layer I need (fleece lined + wind breaker). I love the reflective parts on the fabric and zippers. I do wish they had a draw string and I also wish the wind breaker paneling went around the side of the thighs, it's only on from a little outside the midline of my thigh to the inner thigh. Often times my booty and outer thighs are cold at the end of my runs.

Very nice as a top or base layer on a windy day. Didn't give 5th star because of fit; leggings are long for me but with the zipper it's still a nice buy

I have hiked in these for 3 years. Love them, love them. The only issue is the version I have is short--I am a shrinking 5'8". I am going to try this version as th4ey appear a little longer!

I like them. They fit a little weird. I wish there was a drawstring for the waist. But I really like the material and think they will be nice active pants for the winter season.

This is my second pair of the Active Fleece Wind Tights. My old pair finally wore out. I love using the tights when I'm hiking, they aren't bulky, and they keep me warm on those chilly days. The only thing I don't like is there isn't a way to tighten the waist.

These are great tights and my second pair. There are some design changes from the pair I purchased about 3 years ago and I'm not really a fan. One is that there is no longer drawstring in the waist band. I am constantly pulling this pair up. If I put anything in the pocket like my phone, they slide right off. they are extremely comfortable and as I am a sewer I intend to put a drawstring in them.

I wore these all day in the house while doing chores and outside for my 2.5 mile walk in 30 degree Michigan winter weather. Very comfy. A little big in the waist but still manageable.

Love it! I wish it had the draw string like the previous version. Other than that, they are awesome!

I've has these for about a week and have put about 16 hours in them. They are warm and somewhat wind proof as the description suggests. The pockets are great. The fit is good (5'2" 165lbs). It could use a drawstring around the waist.
Sadly they are starting to wear already. I've worn them in 10-30 degree weather consistently everyday for about 2 hours each day while walk/jogging my 5+ mile loop. I've washed them twice. They're gusseted in the crotch, but there are already signs of wear there. The soft part of fabric has worn away so that only the stretchy weave is left. The fabric is so thin that I can see skin in that area. I anticipate that the inner thigh area will not be far behind. I would only recommend these if you don't have areas that rub.

I had a good experience with these pants, they help block winter wind in New York. They were my go-to everyday winter walking pants. But I just noticed they are wearing thin (threadbare as they say) in the butt/crotch area, so much so that if you hold them up to the light they are totally see-through in that area. People can probably see my butt and I didn't realize it. Now I've had them for about 2 years. But I never ever dried them, always washed on cold and air dried and frankly they wick sweat so well and I barely sweat walking in winter so I honestly rarely needed to wash them. I'm like should after 2 years for this high quality of a brand/materials and cost, should they be falling apart? I kind of want another pair but just not sure this should be wearing out like this.

Love the feel and warmth (merino wool) of the tights. However disappointed that the tights developed holes near the crotch where my thighs rub.

Very small for size. Gave them to my 10 year old and they fit her perfectly

The material feels like good quality, and I like the reflective details. While they felt great when I first put them on, the leggings started to slide down less than a mile into an easy run. I normally wear a size medium in Smartwool, but this waistband seems a little too big/not compressive enough for activity. Bummer! The product would benefit from an adjustable waistband.

I had high hopes for these tights, but was quickly reminded why I personally don't buy Smartwool pants. I ordered both a medium and a large. The large fit better, so I returned the medium and brought the large on a camping trip. Unfortunately, I spent the entire day pulling them up. When I first tried them on at home, they felt snug and comfortable, but as soon as I started moving, walking, hiking, and going about my day, the midsection slowly started to fall down.

These are great! I've worn them for three winters...BUT, they break down and get holes in any part of the leg that touches. After three seasons, and gentle cycle & hanging dry, I'm struggling to patch the holes that have opened up in them. I wish smartwool made patches for their wool that worked. Nothing lasts forever, but these should last a bit longer than 3 winters.

Love the wool lining and wind protection. Needs two design improvements: reinforced crotch (developed holes after one season of running avg 35km/week), and drawstring waist to prevent frequent silppage. Otherwise nice product, but design improvements needed, especially for this high end price point

This is my second time purchasing these pants. Initially I ordered a Medium. Even though I fit the measurements, the medium immediately was falling down when I ran, leaving me with a baggy crotch area. It wouldn't have been a huge issue if it weren't for the fact that the pants don't have a drawstring to keep them snug on the waist. I really wanted to love these pants as I find I need wind protection along with a brushed lining to keep warm during winter running. I ordered again and got the small this time. They were definitely a bit snug going on, but once on felt comfortable and compressive in all the right ways that you'd want from a running tight. These pants are great and exactly what I need and have had a hard time finding. However, even with the small, as I ran, they slid down my waist a bit and I found the crotch bunching a bit in my thighs again. These pants would literally be perfect if it wasn't for this. And it's a shame that they are so great otherwise but they are expensive and this one tiny design issue could make them perfect. I will likely keep them but I don't think I will get the intended use of them. I really needed a tight to wear on longer cold runs. These will likely be the ones I wear on the days I run something pretty short, which is not often. OR I may see if a seamstress can add in a drawstring for me somehow.

I will say they do keep me warm - however, the fit is just too big. They slide down every time. There is no waist band which is odd.

The wind proofing is great!! Sadly, they run a little larger and do not have a drawstring. I've spent my first couple of runs in these trying to pull my pants up because they lose shape rather quickly. Maybe with base layer they could fit better?

I hike a lot in the winters and these tights have done a great job keeping my lower half warm in 20-30 degree temps! The fabric is soft and I find them comfortable to walk in. Love the pockets!
The only concern is loss of fuzzy fleece material on and around the gusset. Understandably this part of the clothing probably has the most friction as one moves, but the amount of wear after just one season is alarming. I love these pants and I wish they were most durable.
