I purchased the tights to use for Winter training to run Ultra Marathons. Winters in the North East can be very cold, but year round training is necessary for me to successfully run 50 mile races in the Spring and Summer months. The Smart Wool tights keeps me comfortably warm during those long winter training runs.

I'm wearing these as I type. Extremely comfortable and true to size. The waistband is wide and doesn't bite in. I am 5'5", 170 lbs and XL is perfect - if I was any taller they might be a bit short. I wear them as my daily Nordic ski pants.

These are great for cold and windy weather running. They fit true to size and are buttery soft on the inside.

This is my second Smartwool Active Fleece Wind Tight! Fell in love with them when I borrowed on from my cousin and hiked in the Rockies. Since then, I have purchased two of my own. I use them on a daily basis to walk and hike - wanted two, so I could always have one available! This morning I walked in 15 F. with a wind speed over over 13 mph and high humidity. These enable me to get my cardio in nature rather than have to use the ellipitcal - starts the day out wonderfully!

Tights are fantastic for hiking, snowshoeing and Nordic skiing.

These are wonderful pants. Super comfortable, warm, stretchy, and cute.

Cozy, stretchy, warm! Great for a warmer layer under your shell pants for windy days or super cold days on the mountain. Will also keep these in my cycling kit for unexpected cold days on tour. There is no reflective strip on the back, which is kind of a bummer.

I've been wearing these tights for several years when hiking in the winter in the Pacific Northwest. They are super comfortable, keep me warm, and the wind panels help to prevent cold air from getting through when it's gusty. I'm 5'1" and they are slightly long on me so I fold up the bottoms. The zippers on the legs make it easier to get them on and off, and I love the pockets on the sides.

Love the zip bottom feature so it's easier to put on and take off. Windproof makes running and skiing comfortable. Breathable wool is fantastic in winter weather because it keeps you warm when wet or dry.

Practical, nice looking and warm.

Love the fit and waist band. I am outside shoveling snow, walking the dog, running errands I wear these pants as I know I'll be warm.

Bought these to fit under my too big Betty Rides pants - lost 15 lbs and I don't want to give up the pants that are too big now. The Betty Rides aren't made anymore have been GREAT ski pants. This product fits snugly on top of my underlayer pants. They move with me and kept me warm in 20 degree temps. I ordered a Medium. I'm 5 ft 6 and 140 - fit me perfectly. Love the zippers on the pockets and the zippers on the calves.

Can't go wrong with this in the cold Chicago wind. Totally protective from the cold, wind and super comfy.

I love these Nordic ski and mountain bike pants is what I use them for. I can wear them in any kind of weather. the zipper is versatile and there's two pockets on either side pocket zips they did move the pockets higher up closer to my hip. the waistband is wide and comfortable and has an adjusting cord the wind in the front keeps me warm going downhill. they feel like butter. I love my Merino wool, no itch antimicrobial Dry Wick fire resistant, water resistant, all natural Merino wool sustainable! I own three pair!

I absolutely love these running tights. They are warm, comfortable and thicker than your usual tights. I wear them running all winter never cold and never hot.

I bought these for a trip to Finland and am so glad I did!! These were the perfect base layer to my insulated snow pants. Comfortable, not bulky and so warm. Will wear these at home alone for walks and mild days snow shoeing.

Warm and dry in heavy rain. I ordered my usual size, but I almost wish I had sized down, they are more stretchy than I thought. Added drawstring waist might be nice addition for future.

I love these tights! This is my third pair over the last five years. Each year new features/upgrades are added and I've liked them all. I was a little skeptical about the non-adjustable waistband in this years upgrade but they fit perfectly. I do have one complaint, which is that the fleece on the inside wears very quickly at the seat. Any chance you could improve on that? #sweepstakes

Winter runs and wind chill have not been an issue since I bought these. Love them!

Love the comfort and style of these wind tights. The fleece lining keeps the chill off on these 30 degree morning runs. I love the cammo color and the zippered side pocket. The fit is true to size (5'6" and 155lbs) I purchased the large. They do not bag or sag after wearing them all day either.

I've tried every Smartwool pant and these are only ones comfy. My only complaint is why not make them in other colors! Love them! Perfect fit.

Training for a spring race so lots of time spent slogging on the snowy trails. With the exception of these tights being way too short I love them. I can live with length since I wear ankle gators
