Great first pair of Altra's. Had heard of the brand for awhile and was super excited to give these a whirl. Will definitely recommend!

I bought torin 7 and used in 2 half marathons. They were great and no toe or foot pain. Best shoe . True upgrade from its predecessor

After trying just about every shoe on the market, these are BY FAR the most comfortable and best fitting shoe I have ever worn. I bought two pairs so I have one for running and one for everyday.

I like this shoe. The cushion is amazing not overly soft, but still comfortable. Lightweight to me and great for runs and workouts. I do shorter runs 3 miles. I find that my foot lands comfortably. My only downside is more height in toe box and a little more width, but I knew what I was purchasing. I'm happy with them and I love the 0 drop. I'm a barefoot kind of guy. So natural as much as possible with a shoe.

Bought these for my 73 year old dad who is a polio survivor and needs zero drop shoes, but also something with some cushioning. Right out of the box he loved them! Perfect fit in size 13.

The foam isn't too soft and the toe box is perfect for my feet. I will be trying other models out as I need.

It's hard to find foot shaped shoes, all shoes are so narrow I was happy to find a wide show option. I hope more colors become available in wide

I have wide feet and traditional pointy toe sneakers just hurt and gave me blisters n stuff. I then got a pair of Altra shoes and this feels great. The Torin 7s are the best friggen shoes i've ever worn, high recommended 10/10

These Altra's are incredibly lightweight and comfortable. I need something that is comfortable on my feet to run errands and be out and about in. I really like them and am impressed. I typically have worn Hoka and New Balance. I am not crazy about their other colors offered, but hope they will get some better colors for summer, as I purchased the black for winter.

I had the Paradigms several years ago and like them a lot with the exception that the stability wedges caused some discomfort to the outside of the ball of my left foot. I have other pairs of Altra casual shoes that I really like and had tried the Torin 4.5 and found them to be uncomfortable. After reading the positive reviews at this site and runner reviews on YouTube the Torin 7 shoes seemed like the perfect thing to add to my other Altra and Hoka shoes. I am glad to say they are better than I had expected, and I expected them to be very good. They are cushioned enough to let my forefoot and heels sink comfortably in to the insole without being spongy. The toebox is roomy without being loose. The arch support is perfect for me and everything about the show really fits my needs and comfort. I bought one pair to give them a try and after wearing the first pair for a couple of months I bought another pair rotate among my shoes on the frequent long walks we take on the local trails.
No shoe is absolutely perfect and that is true of the Torin 7, though my complaint is very minor for me. The laces need to be an inch or so longer. I find it impossible to use the extra eyelets to use the runner's lacing to completely lock my heel down and find it equally difficult to double knot the shoes to make sure they don't come untied. So far this has not been a big problem and my foot stay locked in place well enough but this may be a problem for some people.

I run an average of 50 mi/month in 3-6 mile chunks, mix of road & treadmill.
It took me about a month to break in the 7. The shoe now confidently molds to my foot and remains a pleasure to put on at the 200 mile mark.
The feel and fit are an improvement over the 6 (no more exposed support bands or feeling of pronation) and cushioning has held up better as well. I have not experienced any sole separation issues, but have a few holes develop at crease points in the upper, as seems the case with these knit materials.
I sized up from 9.5 to 10 in Altras ~4 years ago and could probably have gone back to 9.5 with this pair.
I only wear Altras, have a bunch of them, and the Torin remains the model that I recommend to others (and consistently repurchase).

I had a pair of Paradigms several years ago and when they started to grow old I tried the Torin 4.5s and was very disappointed with the tight fit and harsh ride. After generations of updates and wearing other brands I decided to give the Torin another shot. My Torin 7 shoes arrived today and they felt great right out of the box. I walk our local paved trails as much as I can and look forward to putting some miles on them. I currently have a pair of Bondi Rincons and find the Torin a better fit. The cushioning is lively without feeling overly soft. They feel very responsive with the little bit of walking I have already done today. This is a huge improvement over the 4.5 line.

I have nail issues with my big toe. My podiatrist recommended Altra. I like the comfort and the wide toe box.
Altra does a nice job with heel support so the foot sits firmly. Better construction than Hoka.

I've run in Merrill Vapor Gloves for years. The last year or so I started to develop issues with my left ankle and decided maybe it was time to move on to a shoe with more shock absorbing qualities for my 52 yo ankles. I did a lot of looking, and decided to give the Torin 7 a ride. So far I have no complaints. My ankles are feeling much better, and I have no complaints. It takes a bit of getting used to the thick sole after running in true barefoot shoes for so many years, but it is making a difference in the health of my feet. Really like this shoe, and cant wait to get a pair of Lone Peaks to try on the trails.

I go back and forth between Altra and Hoka, the only shoes I wear anymore. In Hokas I have to get wides(2EE) and sometimes 1/2 size longer but never have to worry about that in Altras. I have the previous Torin version and these have a bit more cushioning, almost Hoka-like but not so much as to make you feel wobbly. Quality of construction is top notch and comfort is outstanding. The one distinct advantage I find in Hokas is more heel support but these Torins make up for that in every other aspect.

I love a low to no drop shoe and have run in Altras for many years. This version of the Torin is hands down my favorite Altra shoe yet! The fit, the road feel, the new tongue, the colors. Whether you've never tried Altra or been in them for a while (and are neutral), this shoe has it all! The real tell tale is every time I run in these shoes, I'm not sore and I recover quickly. Torin 7 is a big winner!
Now if only the Escalante could be this shoe with a lower stack and a snappy spring on the toe off!

I was kind of sceptical of buying these shoes since lots of people complain alot about the Torin shoes and these were my first pair of Altra shoes but when I got them they were absolutely perfect they were comfortable very roomy in every part of the foot except maybe the midfoot but I do like a secure fit so I liked it other than that everything was fine the heel had enough room and the toe box had plenty of room and if I'm being really picky about these shoes the upper part of the shoe near the toe box is a little hard at first but my overall experience from everyday walking to doing long runs have been great(I have had them since they came out and ran over 100 miles in them so far).
