I forget the shoe is on my foot when I'm running! It's light and is extremely comfortable!

Smooth feel, quality construction. I love zero drop, but I'm glad to see Altra diversify and to have this as an option to mix things up.

I've ran 50 miles in the shoe so far, and it feels great. Personally, I think the 4mm is not very noticeable (coming from zero drop), but it will great for people who want to explore a lower drop shoe.

Love these shoes for road running. The late stage rocker keeps the momentum going forward and encourage me to keep running even when I want to stop.

- Niiiiice. Super light/cush, but supportive. Plus...they drip. - Great to finally have a small drop + rocker offering from Altra. These help my crappy gait and tendency to heel strike on road runs. They're not overdone however. Has structure and support. - These in a 9.5 feel smaller than my 9.5 LonePeak7 or Escalante3, but they might be a different foot shape.

Great for road runs, super comfy and solid cushion.

Running and cross fit

Great shoe to start with if new to Altra, or put into your rotation. Light with lots of cushion and support. Perfect all-around; weekly miles, long runs, tempos, workouts, racing, and every day.

Great ride and a smooth transition as you're running. Looking to pair this with the Torin 7 for the Road. On the trails I prefer the TImp 4 & the Olympus 5. *I'm an Altra employee.

super comfortable, great design and has a noticeable pop to it on your toe-off. This shoe has quickly become my go-to!

Before I became an avid Altra user I was a Hoka Clifton user. This shoe is exactly the same but with the toe space that every Hoka lacks. If you are looking for a super comfortable daily trainer, this is the one!

I haven't worn anything but zero drop Altras for the last 3 years, and these have me pleasantly surprised at how well they fit into my arsenal of shoes! The rocker feels smooth & efficient underfoot, and the midsole cushioning is a little more efficient and snappier than my Torins. I'll definitely be putting plenty of miles on these!

As an Altra employee, I've been excited about this shoe for a while. And it lives up to all the hype! Lightweight, responsive, looks great, and just all around comfy. My new go to daily mileage shoe!

I am absolutely impressed with this shoe so far. Aside from it fitting a bit short, the overall underneath feel is quite responsive. The upper mesh is very light, breathable and locks my feet in well. The heel padding really seals the back in place ensuring no slipping. This fits in perfectly with my current rotation of the Rivera 3 and Vanish Tempo, fully taking place as my longer distance trainer but still snappy enough for up tempo running with a bit more durability and roomier feel. -S/LA, S/MS, S/TX Altra Field Service Rep

The number one thing I love about Altra shoes is that they feel amazing right away. The Altra FWD Experience was no different. I slipped right into these and went for a run and they felt great the whole time. I also have blisters on my feet from walking in new sandals which makes any shoe with even the slightest edge feel badly. No denying the Altra toe box matters in a big way! Small callout, these ran slightly smaller than other Altras for me, might recommend a half size up to what you're used to wearing.

I have put 100 miles on my first pair. Matches well as a trainer for those racing in super shoes and looking for a light max cushion trainer.

WOW! AS an employee of Altra, I have been true to zero drop for 8 years, but let me tell you, seamless transition and all fun for me! Great right out of the box, aesthetically and feel. The heel was a softer absorbing cushion that let me naturally transition to the forefront and spring into action. I felt a smooth rocker like feel as I ran through, step after step. thank you Altra running for letting me try what I anticipate to be another award winning shoe.

I have been using this shoe as my walking, dog walking, jogging, and every day wear shoe for the last couple weeks and it is INCREDIBLE. The comfort and support the shoe offers along with no slip, running true to size, and being durable make it a 10/10 and I would recommend this to anyone.

This shoe is everything I hoped it would be. Light and cushioned. I feel like I can use it for uptempo work and recovery runs. The drop is noticeable but not in a bad way. I feel like I'm able to still run efficiently on my mid-forefoot. It's become one of my favorite Altras of all time. *Altra employee

I've run over 300 miles in this shoe and it has become my go to for almost every type of run. I love the snappy feel of the midsole and the unique ride makes it fun for almost any pace. As someone who works for Altra, I've tried everything we've created over the past few years. This by far has been my favorite.

Have been a big Altra fan for a while, usually have Escalante and Torin in the rotation. The FWD is a great addition to the rotation and perfect everyday shoe as well! The rocker and overall lightness of the shoe help me move with ease when I'm going out for a training run or in recovery mode. The fit feels locked in with a lot of nice soft touch points where you'd want them. Last but not least, the FWD looks great too, especially the white/green!

Love this new ride. Its the perfect mix of the Vanish and Rivera. Smooth with a stable platform and snappy responsive,. It doesn't have the bounciness of the Vanish that you want on race day, but does have that effortless ride as the tag line suggests! As an Exclusively zero drop user, this new heel drop is not noticeable to me while running though I can feel that slight extra cushion when standing still. Love the Black/gray color for the Gym, the White is fire for my everyday shoe but the Orange feels the fastest for running of course! As an Altra employee, I'll admit I was wary of the added drop, but in use it has been fantastic. The fit is closer to the Rivera (My personal favorite shoe) than the Torin, so my size is 1/2 size bigger in this and the Rivera than the Torin And that seem just about perfect! I love how it wraps my foot and makes me feel fast and smooth while running.

Being a zero drop loyalist and Altra employee I was surprised at how I didn't notice the 4mm drop while running, the rocker gives a really nice fluid efficient ride with a good bounce underfoot
