I have the winter 2021/2022 jacket. Arcteryx changes the dimensions on their Mens Small. Sleeve are about two inches longer than previous versions which is both annoying and leads to premature wear in the cuffs. The jacket is even boxier than previous versions. The chest pockets are too short to accommodate a radio.

Bought this piece on sale and patiently waited. When it arrived it was not the size I ordered. Sent the item back, still waiting on refund. Unfortunately I can't get my size at the price anymore because it has been sold out at that price. Sent a request to customer service about potentially getting a coupon or a substitute color at the same price as a replacement, but never heard any response back. I will probably go with another brand for next purchase.

It's a good jacket but honestly I've used it twice and it's let rain in both times. A little disappointing

A jacket that at first glance seemed to be made of excellent material and seam construction. But with a few regular uses, and even taking all the care recommended by the manufacturer, it simply began to fall apart. The glued seams are all opening up and it's no longer possible to use the jacket. This is extremely frustrating for a garment of this price. It was my first and last experience with Arc'Teryx products.

Not like the old jackets. Materials seem cheaper and I've worn it infrequently (under 5 times) but the wear is really starting to show. Shoulders fit too tight considering torso bagginess and arm length

I have owned this jacket for a few months and am already regretting my purchase. A few days after getting the jacket, my partner noticed a weird stain around the collar. This stain does not go away, you can wash it was some detergent (have to be careful with the Gore-Tex) but it remains. I have to follow review guidelines so I can't speak more about this. Other than my particular issue, which to be fair, could likely be avoided by picking a darker color, there are some other issues. Like one reviewer mentioned, the sleeves are really long and the overall fit is weird. It's tight in the shoulders and chest but loose everywhere else. But, if you are a lanky skinny fat guy then this jacket might be the perfect fit for you. The DWR is the worst I have ever experienced. After a day or two of moderate (not heavy) rain, it already wore off. I was unable to refresh it in the washer/dryer so I had to apply a new DWR coating but that didn't work very long either. Because of the way the jacket fits, the "storm hood" isn't really that functional. If you are wearing anything on top of your head, or have long hair, you will still have to unzip your jacket in order to put the hood up, which kind of defeats the purpose. Then, because of the way the hood is shaped, it is impossible to get it tightened correctly so it doesn't keep flying down when you're in...a storm (or even moderately windy weather). Having a more traditional integrated hood would be lighter and better. I have also noticed patchy areas on my arms and chest where even though it is a 3 layer shell, the water can come through at parts where there are seams. I have not had this issue with other shells, except when the membrane started failing, not in a new jacket. The overall construction appears much lower quality than other shells I have had from Arcteryx or any other brand. There are other things I think you should know but I have to follow review guidelines so I won't. This jacket should be and easily could be much better for how much it costs.

I got a defective Beta AR the zipper on the right hand was stuck and when I tried to pull it down, the zipper puller broke. Arcteryx is a high-end brand who pride themselves in durability and quality. I did not expect a low quality jacket.

My recent Beta AR order was cancelled due to a stock discrepancy, which was frustrating. I expected better inventory accuracy and communication from Arc'teryx. It would have been helpful to be contacted earlier or offered an alternative. Overall, not the level of service I anticipated. What a major disappointment.

This is now the second Beta AR jacket I've had to retire because of delamination in the Gore-Tex layers. For a brand that prides itself on premium quality and durability, having a jacket fail in six years is incredibly disappointing. The Re-Bird credit also felt disappointing, "Here's a token amount for a defective product, but that's all you'll get since a previous product already failed you". Overall, the experience has left me frustrated and disappointed with the durability and the support provided. I expected better from Arc'teryx.

After 10 minutes in heavy rain, I was completely soaked. I've used this jacket only three times, and from the first use, it was clear it offers no water resistance, despite being marketed as suitable for such conditions. It seems designed solely for wind protection. I own other jackets at a quarter of the price that handle water far better. I'm very disappointed with this product.

Bring back solid color! Dynasty color is great on top half - very vibrant, lower half is totally washed out! Why not make it like the SV or beta? Very disappointing!! Returned!!!

I have found out that this jacket has PFAS in it and there have been tests done that says it sheds this regardless of the company's quality control. How can you sell this? It causes cancer and is bad for the environment. I would like my money back

I was numb to receive my jacket, replacing my last Arc'teryx BETA AR. It was not the same quality material as the last jackets that had been replaced over the years. If possible, I would like someone to get back to me to sort this out. I really love the material the other ones were made from. This one feels cheap. Thank you for taking the time and taking care of a loyal customer. Cheers

I bought my Beta AR 2 years ago and wore it only for 1 winter, as I usually live in a warm climate. It had very limited use and even though I took care to not expose it to any damaging liquids or similar, its water resistant properties started fading. I sent it to the Arcteryx team and received no support other than a discount to buy a new one. When I asked how it was damaged or what to avoid next time, I was given no solution. When asked if there was anything to be done, the answer was simply "no". It's extremely frustrating as I also own other Arcteryx garments such as an Atom AR which I love, but I'm now concerned that if anything happens to it I won't be receiving any support. Don't recommend this product.

I had two, but none of them can be worn now due to open gluing. The company allows one replacement only. I still think the life of the jacket is too short. Quality issue!

I live in the UK , a MLTB Mountain Leader, and have a BetaAR jacket. It is less than 4 years old and in reality has been used very little, and when stored, out of sunlight etc. It still looks like new, except... The issue is the top of the hood has delaminated. I have looked online and it seems others have had the same problem and when they send it to the European customer service centre, it seems to stay with them for a number of weeks, before the answer comes back there is nothing they can do. So, forewarned is forearmed, it is an expensive jacket. If you are lucky and you don't have any problems, it will be great. If not, then you could be looking at having to purchase a new one sooner than you think. I'm afraid I can't recommend the jacket as there appear to be durability issues and I would advise those considering purchasing one to look at reviews of those who have had one 3+ years. It's disappointing as everything else, fit, features are good and well thought through.
