In a blatant cost-cutting exercise, they decided to use one of the most weak and feeble zips I've ever seen on any item of clothing. I gave it the benefit of doubt, but it failed after only 4 days use. Returned for a refund and bought a different brand. They really should know better...

I purchased this jacket on December 2024, and after only six weeks of barely using it, the down is already leaking. The feathers are settling in odd areas of the jacket, and there's barely any left at the back, leaving me exposed. This is extremely poor quality for the price. I deeply regret purchasing it, as I was hoping it would last a good few years. I do not recommend this product at all.

To say the least, this jacket is disappointing and not at all what I would expect for the price tag and from the brand. I have owned it since August 2023, and have worn very infrequently over the year and 4 months (I have 6 other jackets I wear and have a work coat that I wear daily).
- the insides of the pockets have basically started to disintegrate. All I carry in my pockets are my phone, my wallet occasionally, and my fob to my flat.
- the zip pops open in the seam. This means I have to tug it out to do it back up again. It can be extremely embarrassing when I'm out and about and this happens. I bought a medium, and it is by no means tight on me. For some perspective I wear small T-shirts.
- the front of the jacket now has around 4-5 holes in them. I genuinely believe this is from the feathers themselves poking their way through the material as it is that fine and delicate, I say this as one of the holes I did notice the feather and I tried to poke it back in and noticed that it has caused a tear.
- the shoulder area has two large rips also in different places, again I believe from the same thing.
- the threading down where the zip connects to the material has began to fray all the way down.
If Arc'teryx try to resolve this issue with me I will update this review.

New sizing really is not working for me. I will have to switch brands.

The Cerium Hoody was purchased late 2020 and really has seen two seasons. I have two other Atom hoodies that I use for my high intensity outdoor sports ... skiing and camping. The Cerium has been used mainly as a dress jacket and around town. I was very disappointed when the zipper failed at the collar ... the zipper is much lighter in this jacket than the Atom ... I would not recommend this jacket for that reason.

I've had the Arc'teryx Cerium Hoody for three seasons, and I must say, I absolutely love the style and fit of this jacket. It's lightweight, stylish, and extremely warmperfect for Ontario weather up until around mid-January. The balance between warmth and weight makes it incredibly versatile, and I relied on it heavily during the cooler months.
However, I have some real concerns about its long-term quality. After only a few seasons, I noticed the down feathers are starting to leak out from multiple areas, and the stitching seems to be loosening in several places. It's disappointing to see a jacket of this caliber show such wear in a short period. When I reached out to the Toronto store's service desk, hoping for some support, the response was less than helpful. I was hoping they'd stand by their quality guarantee, but that wasn't my experience.
If this jacket could hold up as well as it performs, it would be an all-time favorite. Unfortunately, the lack of durability and support left me feeling a bit let down.

Terrible service, terrible jacket with very poor quality, the seams came apart in the armpit area within two weeks and the hole continues to grow, and all they can offer you is to tape it up

Arc'teryx Customer Service is awful. I purchased the jacket and the product started ripping and tearing within a month. I contacted customer service numerous times and they show little willingness to actually honor product quality standards and warranty expectations. Offered patching tape for this premium priced jacket. I will be shopping elsewhere.

Jacket ripped within 2 weeks. Cheap zipper. Poor quality. DO NOT BUY! This company does not stand by their cheap products. They did not replace. Seriously. They lost thousands as I own several businesses. They cut their nose to spite their face. Stupid management.

Experience with Arc'teryx has gone wayyy down. Purchased this jacket a few years ago and from the beginning I had issues with down migration and loft as it seemed to be lacking in the jacket. I've washed it and dried it as recommended and brought it to the store where they agreed that there was a defect with the jacket. Reached out to Arc'teryx who stated that "migration" is normal so I thought it would get better with washing and drying. Now a few years later there is virtually no down in the upper part of the coat and Arc'teryx still refuses to exchange the product. They are requesting for me to send it in at my own expense with no promise of a repair or replacement simply to "assess" the problem. I say spend your money on other brands who actually stand by their product and make good quality items at better prices. I've given up on the warranty claim with them as all they send are generic copy and pasted replies.

I bought my jacket a little over the year ago and the zipper is already completely shot; I am unable to zip up my coat and the only thing they will do is let me mail it to get repaired in 3-5 weeks, massive bummer for the middle of winter and pretty poor design for the price.

Bought this less than a year ago and while it's extremely warm the down will just not stay in place no matter how careful you are when wearing it. Short ride in a car pushes the down on the back to sides leaving the middle of your back with barely any insulation. You can shake it back in place if you take it off and really try but seems like too much hassle for this price

My jacket started leaking down in less than a month after a feather pushed through the shell, and Arc'teryx won't cover it. Now there is constantly down leaking out of the hole.

I bought this jacket about 1.5 years ago, live in Michigan. It's incredibly warm, but this jacket does not hold up whatsoever. Almost one month in (of wearing while commuting to and fro work) the seams started to spread and all the interior contents began spilling out. It was a big joke at work that I was actually stuffed with feathers instead of organs because they just started pouring out constantly. Then, just minor trauma causing splitting of the outer lining (not at the seams), causing more and more interior packing to fall out. It's now been 1.5 years, I honestly think I've probably lost 1/4 of the inner packing.

I had purchased the Arc'teryx Cerium during November 2022 and had done a lot of searching for a versatile coat that could be used for hiking, getting to work in Canadian winters, and general day to day use. After less than a year, the fabric started to exhibit little holes with feathers peaking through on the front side and on the sleeve. These were not just due to feathers poking through but, upon closer inspection, I could see that the material itself was tearing. This was very disappointing to see but I felt confident that Arc'teryx would have a strong warranty and product protection standard given that it's perceived as a high quality brand. I have taken good care of this product and used it for less than a year (it's not my only winter coat), so this was particularly surprising to see. Upon contacting the customer service team, I was informed that the tears were not covered under their warranty and was offered a 30% discount on purchase of another product and some Tenacious Tape instead - I could understand the use of the tape if it were under use for a longer period, but this is unacceptable in my view given the pricing of this product. This was particularly disappointing and especially for a product with a high quality standard that I would expect of Arcteryx - the main reason why I chose to purchase this brand. I have previously purchased from other reputable winter coat manufacturers and none of my jackets from those makers have ever had damage this early into ownership. I have reviewed the information outlined on the Arc'teryx warranty site and I would think that 1 year is not unreasonable when reading the language used - "Practical Product Lifespan". I have been asked by several friends and peers at work about my opinion of this product (as several people I know are considering the purchase of a new winter coat) and I've had to share my unfortunate experience. Just really disappointing overall.
