Its a great winter jacket. I tried a few sizes in store. Small was a bit smaller so I went for medium. Medium was a little bigger when it arrived as I purchased online. Nonetheless its a great winter jacket (add shell during snow), great material and quality build.

Perfect combination of style, fit, and function. I receive compliments every time I wear it. I am 6'1" 170lbs and a medium is a perfect fit. The Cerium performed well on a climb to the summit of Mt. St Helens and at soccer pick up.

Bought this jacket last winter and it functions incredibly well for light backpacking, and the winter in general. Is a great layer underneath, fits snug to the body, and is a nice fit. Very susceptible to tears though, which is expected I guess; regardless, it is a great jacket and serves as a great layer alone too.

I bought this last winter.
This jacket is lightweight great material. I can use it in the 0-10 Celsius with one short sleeve tshirt inside. With windy condition, just need to add a windbreaker outside.
The only down side is when the jacket is folded to the small pack, which is super convenient to carry around in case, the hard tip of the down comes out.

Ive slowly been building up my collection of Arcteryx goodies over the past few years, and Im glad to say I finally picked this bad boy up. My go-to for everything in the fall and winter has been my Atom LT, but decided to pick up something a little warmer for cooler winter trips and expeditions. The fit and feel is, as you would expect, perfect, and it packs away to nothing! It warms you up instantly, and would be great for those cool, wet mornings when you layer it under a hardshell like a Beta. If youre thinking about getting anything from this brand, go for it; Im grateful for every piece I own.

This is my 2nd Cerium hooded jacket and it meets all my needs. It is light, packable, and super warm; sometimes too warm. I run hot so I can only wear it in very cold conditions, 35 degrees Fahrenheit and under. I do also like the cut. The small fits great as Im 57 160lbs 39 chest with an athletic build. The medium is a little big but would be best for those who like to layer with heavy pieces like hoodies and sweaters. I can wear just a tee or Henley with this and still keep toasty.

I purchased the Cerium hoody as a compact, lightweight jacket for bike packing. However, is it VERY warm. Arguably too warm for summer nights in the mountains (I would love a Cerium LT or SL). I ended-up wearing it as a winter jacket but compared to the Atom Hoody, I overheat in the Cerium constantly (I suspect due to the tight-knit fabric) which suggests it's better for cold, static situations like belaying, winter breaks, etc. By comparison, the Atom hoody is equally warm and less likely to overheat in non-static situations, so it's more versatile. Thus, your purchase decision should come down to compactness versus versatility.

Cerium jackets are spot on with fit, they're hard wearing and well made. I'd buy another if the fabric colours weren't so uninspiring. Come on Arcteryx, add a bit of contrast colour to collars and cuffs. Inspire us.

This could be a really great coat. But, the zipper is really flimsy. It feel like it's going to break any minute

I have the very first gen jacket, and then another jacket and hoody of more recent iterations the two recent gen (the hoody I ordered and received in Sept '23) are super fitted than my 1st gen. The hoody for some unknown reason lost a baffle worth of down around my left sleeve. Deadbird CS is excellent and I got a credit as replacement.

Is it me or are the pit area is really tight?
T-shirt + kyanite and cerium...and I could feel the pit area is just too small. Maybe needs Proton FL's pit fitting..i don't know what it is but this revised needs to be revised. Asap
Weird fit lately with all the jackets that have been revised...allows zero room for layers..much less a sweater.

Bought this down hoody online after trying it in local store. Went with XL for a looser fit. Used today on a light walk along side creek. The hoody is very comfortable and warm. For the price I wished it had some more interior pockets for the price point. Also found the down to have strong odor and smell very bad, unlike other down jackets brands I own.

2.5 stars really, based off longevity not function.
3 years into use and the zipper, specifically the insertion pin, is blown and jacket will not zip. The jacket would still be in use otherwise. While it was well used in wild places, I expected a longer life.
That said, up until that point, the jacket preformed great. It's light, warm, and highly packable. It provides a reasonable amount of wind protection. It keeps it's loft with light to medium saturation. I took it everywhere.
While the jacket preformed, and with me admitting that I put the jacket to the test, I will be shopping a different manufacturer when replacing and hoping for a longer life of working parts.

BEWARE THE RUNE COLOUR WAY - I love this jacket for its functionality, so much that I bought a second one! However, I am really disappointed in the new rune colour. They dont tell you or advertise that the fabric is transparent and that all the little black feathers inside look like stains on the jacket. I dont know if this was a quality control issue or if this is just how it is, but the jacket advertised on the website looks blemish free. Some may not care about it but for the price I am pretty bummed.

Hope this review reaches out people who needs this kinda jacket in a cold weather.
It keeps warmth well, as that is this kinda jacket's supposed to but,
If your body gets warm quickly, and if you are a sweaty and active person, I really don't recommend this cuz it does not BREATH a single air.
Inside the jacket all the moist is collected, I have never had any jacket like this. The inner material, I don't know if it's waterproof from the inside or what, but it keeps all the water from your body. So any inner will get wet and you can literally wipe water out from the inside of the jacket. It I have to say is a failure of material choice for the inside of such jacket really.
Tried it on in different tempretures, result came out same.
in cold weather and for outdoor activity, it's a dangerous jacket I have to say,
cus all the moist will be collected on the surface of the inside of the jacket, which will make your inner wet and freeze as soon as you're done with your activity.
Correct me if this jacket has a certain purpose

Zip is difficult to zip and unzips by itself at the bottom. Arcteryx is no longer what it used to be and quality is no longer correlated with the price

I bought this hoody as a Christmas present to myself and wore a handful of times it in the Idaho winters. It has good warmth and fits well, two months in - the elastic hood cinch is already damaged after 3 washes. For the price, I expected better quality and durability. I am disappointed with this product and would not recommend it. Hoping to get a replacement or they can repair it!

The worst investments I've ever had, there is no value it just expensive and no quality! I have this one It just easy rip off and they can't honor the warranty even thats the material issue and they just want to put a tape. Zipper of their jackets is getting off one by one. I have just for the winter and quarter of it is out already

Awsome jacket, comfy, varm and waterproof! But the zippers are not on par with quality controll. Main zipper and pocket zipper busted after 3 years normal use, customer service took the jacket inn, but refused to repair it and told me they where going to trash it?
The jacket is in good condition, it has three smal pinholes and ofcource 2 broken zipps.

I bought this jacket for my son as a Christmas present. But as soon as he started wearing it, the zipper was not functioning well. Now after only one year of use, the zipper is completely broken. It doesn't close at all. It is very disappointing considering that high prize of this jacket and the Arc'teryx brand reputation.
