Love the color and the fit. I have been wearing Cascadia 16 so always a bit nervous when the new model is out. Cascadia 17 very comfortable, only issue is the navy/purple pair has really short laces. The black and white limited edition has regular size laces, not sure why the navy pair is short/too short.

My mom lives with multiple health problems that limit her mobility. Her podiatrist highly reccomended Brooks to support her and stabalize her in her day to day life. Despite her health problems, she lives an incredibly active lifestyle, leading educational organizations, running her own business, and planning her next weekend adventure. To help her keep going, I buy her a new pair of Brooks every 8 months to a year. The Brooks running quiz has assisted us both A LOT in finding a shoe that will support her comfortably without the hassle of going into stores and trying on multiple pairs. Lately, since her adventures have lead her to more outdoor places, I've looked more into the Trail-side of Brooks shoes. Wow! What a difference! We spent a weekend over in Crystal River and I asked her midday how she felt, and how the shoes felt. She said she forgot she had them on. That she was able to go anywhere she wanted to and felt comfortable doing so. The Brooks Cascadia look like a tank, but ride like a Mercedes. I think the only think we would change is the coloring. There's nothing wrong with fun bright colors, but they're harder to pair with daily outfits. Some traditional solid colors would be delightful.

Love the pattern and style of this shoe. Please make more of cool styles that we can wear with regular clothing!!!! I have small ankles and feet for a tall 5'8" woman and these hold me in. I run (or jog) on very treacherous, hilly, too many roots and rocky trails. I've never twisted my ankles in Cascadia. I've twisted my ankles and broke one in two places wearing other brands. I'm buying another pair of this combat style (black and white) to wear with street clothes. I've been a runner for like 40 years and keep coming back to Brooks.

LOVE these! They are the right amount of cushion and spring for the rocky trails I run and they fit my narrow feet beautifully. A new favorite!

Great shoes that grip the trail grounds so you don't slip while you run. A little snug even for wide width though.

I love my Cascadias. I have both the waterproof and the regular. We have rugged tails that we hike in our area. I don't feel the rocks through the souls and I have great traction for the loose stuff on downhills. I've always worn hiking boots, but now I'm hooked on my Cascadias.

I had to adjust the laces a few times because my toes felt cramped at first. I am wearing these shoes for my job as a mail carrier. Now that I have them adjusted, I’m pretty happy with them. My feet and legs aren’t achy at the end of the day. So that’s pretty great. I have also gotten compliments on the looks of these.

I have run in the Cascadia trail shoes before, but it had been a few years so I was curious about how the 17s would feel. What I liked most was that they were not as wide as I remembered in the previous models. I have a narrow foot and this is something that I always notice with shoes right away. My foot felt secure in the 17s. I did have to change the lacing, because it felt that the laces tied a little too low for me, so I used the upper holes to adjust this. The one thing that I did not love was that the collar of the shoe felt lower than my previous trail shoes and I worried that this would allow dirt and debris to get in around my ankle. I adjusted to the feel of the lower collar on my first run and I paired the shoes with higher socks and had no problem with dirt or debris. The sole of the shoe provided great support for the trails and I felt that the shoe provided the right amount of grip on climbs. Overall, a good trail shoe.

I’m a fan of Ghost and these are somewhat similar in fit. Differences I noticed are that the toe box is wider and the sole is a bit more stiff. They are great on trails and provide good grip. I was hoping for a shoe that would be good on trails and on pavement but have noticed when transitioning from dirt trail to pavement, it feels like I walking with cleats and the bottoms of my feet start hurting. I will use these only for my trail runs/walks and even hikes but will stick to Ghosts for pavement walks/runs.

I wanted to like this shoe - but - it was not quite wide enough - or maybe the toe box is not deep enough to accommodate my custom orthotics. I returned this pair in favor of the Saucony TR16

nice supportive shoes but this pair felt tighter in the toe box and a little shorter than the same brand and style I bought about 2 years ago. They are getting more comfortable after wearing for a few days.

Sadly Brooks is cutting corners on shoelaces again. These are about 1 1/2 inches shorter than Cascadia 16 shoe laces meaning that it's quite difficult to do a good knot for hiking with these shoes. The color is darling and I don't want you to send me generic laces to appease me. Brooks- please make the shoeslaces long enough like you used to! The laces again are a bit slippery so they need a knot for hikes.

It's a bit flat-footed compared to my standard Ghost, and had to put in a heel insert, but I love the waterproof feature this time of year. Impressed that it seems to breathe while being waterproof.

Loved this shoe and how it grips the ground. I had to return and get a half size up because it felt a little snug. I was worried it would eventually hurt the side of my foot for my long runs.
