I really like the fit and design. The only problem is the fabric wrinkles easily. I bought the light blue on sale since the are rather pricey pants. Prefer a darker blue or gray.

These are close to what I wanted for send protection when we camp in the desert in Arizona during the winter. I'm looking forward to wearing them while kayaking also. Nice stretch to the waist line.

Look good. Feel good. Now for the price. I look forward to the day when LL Bean puts their plus sizes on sale like they do their regular sizes.

Very nice pants. They fit well and are made well. I would've given them 5 stars except that I feel the price is very high. I bought these same pants last year for $45 and this year they went up $30 dollars.

I love the light weight material, deep pockets, and functionality of the drawstring. They're comfortable for lounging around and functional for chasing after kids all day. I gave this a 4 star rating, though, because I feel the sizing is a bit big. I'm 5'5, 120 lbs and ordered an XS. They fit comfortably through the thigh but the waist is a bit bigger than expected. If it wasn't for the drawstring they would slip down from my waist throughout the day.

I love the fit and the feel of these pants. I've worn them once and the material has already pulled. I'm keeping them hoping this doesn't continue because I like them so much. I purchased a Medium regI'm 5'3 and 160

The pants, actually, made me look bigger. I'm trying to figure out why. Maybe because the pockets pooched out the sides, like wings? Maybe the side "cargo" pocket? I liked that feature, but it didn't look good on me. The back pockets added to much bulk to my back side. The pants were comfortable, the length was spot-on, the color was a great deep navy blue, and they have multi-directional stretch which gave greater flexibility of movement. I think this is just a case of wrong style of pants for my body. I bet if I wore a size 12, or smaller, they'd look great.

Good quality clothing tho it seems to run large. I usually The pants (Size large) were way too big and even the medium was roomy. The biggest disappointment was that none of the pockets would hold a cell phone in place. But they were nicely constructed and very comfortable.

Nice color for spring/summer, fits well, but the fabric feels heavy and stiff compared to the Vista pants which I've been living in pretty much non-stop since I bought my first pair. Not as flattering as the Vista pants.

The pandemic was not kind to me or my waistline, between stress eating and being home a lot. With a family trip on the horizon, I wanted some pants that would be more comfortable than my now-slightly-too-small jeans (yeah...it was the jeans' fault they didn't fit) to wear sightseeing and hanging out. I ordered a few pairs of these rip-stop pants, and they fit the bill. They've become my go-to pants for casual dinners out; daily errands; and just hanging around the house. They're comfortable, thanks to the elastic waistband and the addition of either Lycra or Spandex (can't recall which); they also dry quickly when wet, and launder well. (Hang them right out of the dryer to avoid wrinkles, though those disappear with wear.) They do have a surprisingly short rise, however. That works for me, as that's what I prefer, (I loathe the return of high-waisted jeans), but if you're long in the torso or have difficulty with a shorter-rise pant, these pants are probably going to drive you crazy. Right out of the dryer, they're snug, but with the added stretchy material, they do start to stretch out with wear. I find myself cinching the drawstring more later in the day, especially if I've been active. If you live in a cold climate, be forewarned: They're not heavy-weight material, so you're not going to want to wear them in Duluth in February. For fall/spring or even a cool summer night, they're perfect. Living in the south, I find them far too warm for the hot months, but great from late fall through winter and into early spring.

These are great looking pants and I feel so good wearing them. I like the slim legs but the hip and thigh area is a little roomier than I thought it would be. I believe that is part of the casual look. My husband thinks they fit me well and I am thankful for the Bean Bucks we accrued to help me make this purchase.

Love the color and style, but...I ususally wear xs in Vista Camp Pants, (5'4" tall, 135 lbs.) but needed a small in this style - it seems that there's a difference in the crotch width/depth in these pants that made the xs an uncomfortable fit. Also, unless you tuck in your top, the string in the waste band is bulky when tied. I was able to remove the waistband string in the Vista Camp Pants because there is enough elasticity in the band. But I need the string in this style to hold up the pants comfortably. I would recommend these pants to a friend noting the fit and waistband string issues.

I am not sure how to review these pants. I can tell you that they didn't shrink and the color and style is good. I expected that they would be a little snugger. Not snug but just more than they are. I can't imagine getting a XS and I fear that they would be too tight. If you are looking for a looser fit in the rear and hips, these are for you. They were a little long and I had to shorten them but not a big deal. I am not sure whether I will keep them or return them. They are not cheap so I want to be happy with the purchase. I had no problem with them being too low in the waist or having to tug them up as others have mentioned.

Almost perfect - but I won't be buying another pair due to the snap on the back pocket. I keep my phone back there whenever I am on my feet, and the snap is making this impossible since it hits just about in the center of the phone. I am afraid it will scratch or break the screen. If anyone can tell me how to get the snap off without damaging the fabric, I might try it. Maybe there is some way I could pad it? Hate to return the pants because I can really see almost living in them otherwise.

But, I wish they had them in the classic fit as well. I like my pants to sit at my waist, not below it.

I love the ripstop fabric, so I was happy to see this new style. I normally wear a petite L in pants. I ordered the PL and PM, and had to return the PL, as the fit was too loose. However, it is an odd fit as the rise on both sizes was too low. The waist in back, especially, sits too low. I do love the dark taupe color, the more narrow fit of the legs, the stretch in the waist, and the pockets, so will keep the pants.

These are wonderful pants, however the size that I ordered (Large) fits more like an extra large.

I bought these in all the available colors. I love the pants, but had to send more than half back because the waist measurement varied by up to 2 inches amongst the pairs. 1 pair fit perfectly, one was a little big but could be cinched, and the others were simply too large. The fabric for the ankle length pants was also a lighter weight than in the capri length of the same style.

I am a small petite and these pants are too long by 1-2 inches. In the past a petite at LL Bean has been sized correctly. I have turned the hem and the fabric is so stiff that I wore them that way without stitching. I also cut off the strings in the waistband. They are not needed and a lot of cost could be saved by getting rid of this feature. Let's face it, most people have enough of a belly to keep pants on without cinching the waist when an elastic waistband is included.

Sizing is an issue. I initially tried on the medium regular in the store. Great fit but too long so I ordered it in petite. Wow. What a difference. It has a very short rise and the thighs around the hip seemed very tight. I was told to order the large petite to replace it. Those are too large. I've worn them, washed them, and need to return them because they just look sloppy and I feel I need to keep pulling them up. Is it me? IDK ... When they fit, they are flattering and comfortable. The problem, at least for me, is getting there.

I really like the ripstop pants, but my fat bulges out where the elastic sits just below my waist. I so wanted these pants to fit well so that I could have purchased more colors. The search continues.

The fabric is very nice and should be comfortable in warm weather. I gave these pants 3 stars because I bought 2 pair and one is about an inch shorter so not consistent in construction. I also find them a little tight from waist to crotch when sitting down. I bought XS and am 120lbs. 5'3" Otherwise they are comfortable.
