I have the canvas totes which are great but this one is lightweight and packable for travel when you will need an xtra tote.

We love how lightweight this bag is for the beach & toting things around in it. Great pockets, key leash is a great feature, zip top & outer pocket are genius! Our only dislike is the handles are TOO short sadly! Not sure why they don't make them longer, then it would be perfect!

Seems like a good tote bag so far. The "nectarine" color definitely looks like a tan/beige in the photo online. It turns out it's a bright orange, almost like a safety/hunting orange. Would appreciate more photos of the different color options to give a better idea. Also overall would love if LLBean gave their totes (of all types and sizes) longer handles so they're easier to wear on the shoulder.

Very light weight, water resistant unless heavy rain. Excellent size. Took 1 star off only due to short carry straps. From the photo they look long enough to go over shoulder.

I love the color, size, and that it zips closed. I would have preferred that the handles were a little longer.

In the web site the handles looked much longer, so you could put over shoulder. The straps on mine are very short. Reason for 1 less star. Otherwise very nice bag. Good color

An excellent, good quality bag made out of light weight, but sturdy material. Wish it still came with an option for the over the shoulder strap and more pockets around the outside. Still can't beat the classic style of a zippered large capacity bag with sturdy handles and a flat bottom. Plan on using it for years and ordering a few backups and also giving as gifts. There really is nothing else like it on the market. Baggalini's are too heavy and pricey for essentially the same product. You won't regret this bag. Good for the pool, beach, grocery store, or the library. A class act.Thank you Beans!

Great looking bag, but the straps are too short. Deciding if I want to return it.

I have 3 of these bags. Lightweight. Hold up well. But my old one has 6 pockets on the outside. It's great for taking to the gym. I bought a new, bigger one, but I'm missing the pockets. I may return it hoping LLBean will make one with pockets again

This tote is a little smaller than I expected. I ordered a medium. I will need to return it for a larger one. Nice color and quality. Just smaller than expected.

I bought this in the (large) Juniper color. I like that this tote has a zip-top, outer pocket, and inner pocket. I didn't particularly like that the stitching is white, but that is a matter of personal taste. I ordered it monogrammed, with white because that was the suggested monogram color, and I thought that the monogram was a bit large, and I wished that I had gotten a different color monogram instead of white (again, purely a matter of personal taste). I have some of these totes from several years ago, and I think that these newer ones are not as heavy as my older ones, but they seem to be well-made (time will tell). I do like the Juniper color of the bag, and ordered a second bag, this time in medium, with different color monogram. Both bags will get frequent use, I think.

The two totes arrived in good shape, with monogram correct on one as ordered. They are definitely lightweight, which makes them nice to carry, but I think the fabric may develop holes easily due to being poked by metal things. I carry it frequently in my metal bicycle basket. If it gets wet, it will dry more quickly than the canvas totes. Not very water resistant, though.

Purchased for a recent international trip. Loved that it look up very little space in my suitcase on the way over and held a good amount of clothing (leaving space for new purchases) on my return. Light weight and very sturdy. Has one exterior picket and an interior zip pocket with key hook for valuables. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about is the color but that is my own fault for waiting until the last minute to order.

We have bought several of these in the past and it seems that the quality has changed somewhat. Not positive, but it just seemed different to us. Maybe not as thick as the first one we bought 10 years ago. Wish they had a better selection of colors too.

Lightweight as stated by LL Bean. Zero structure. Bought XL as pup tote, for travel. Size good, but lack of body not good for intended purpose/purchase.

This is a lightweight bag that does not stand on its own. It has zero structure. That's ok, but the stitching is super sloppy and it just looks cheap. I can buy a similar bag for around $10 at any department store.

stitching looks like it is not durable- I may return it. Looks like thin white sewing thread rather than something stronger.hopefully it will be a good product.

I bought this to replace a 10+ year old L.L.Bean - Everyday Lightweight Tote, which I loved & used for so many years. While the new one is still fairly good, I am missing the extra pockets (3 on each side) on the outside of the bag, which were so convenient for sunglasses, water bottles etc. This new tote only has 1 deep pocket on 1 side on the outside. There is still a zippered pocket inside. Sadly, the shoulder straps are definitely shorter, which will make it more difficult to carry.

Disappointed in the way these bags have changed. See photo below. I used these for my dog's belongings on trips. The monogramming on Eloise's bag was much bigger, thicker, taller letters. The L.L. Bean logo also really detracts from the monogram. I noticed they also prominently display the L.L.Bean name on their beach towels. Wish they wouldn't! I will say the bag functions very well, though.

Not quite as durable as I expected. It will work but the depth of quality is not what I remember for LL Bean. The stitching is not perfect and the fabric is not as thick or sturdy as I hoped for.

Lightweight but little structure which makes it harder to pack. Seems smaller than the canvas bags I love. Should have expected this based on material. Would like an option with shoulder straps - it would be helpful when my hands are full, particularly during winter when wearing a bulky jacket.

Bought this bag for it was on sale. It is smaller than I realized, cannot fit my lunch box in the bag, along with books, water bottle. The zip top is a nice feature, and I will use it, it is lightweight, but not exactly what I wanted. And I wish there were more compartments inside the bag.

It's big enough for 4 extra large beach towels and other essential items needed for a day at the beach. However, there is no shoulder strap so it is difficult to carry fully loaded. If you are 50 feet from the beach it's ok, but if you are walking further, I would look for something else.
