I bought this backpack for my wife, as she has a long walk from her parking lot to her work. She loves it and finds it very comfortable.

Picked up this backpack today after much searching online. I looked at other brands online and in stores and found this one to be perfect for my trip to Germany this summer. Nothing beats a backpack while navigating thru the airports allowing your hands to be free. The amount of pockets and their layout gives you plenty of room to store a passport, wallet, glasses, your quart sized bag of 3 ounce toiletry products etc etc. the tablet pocket is perfectly sized. I'll have plenty of room to bring a change of shoes, my snacks, phone and all cords. There are two generously sized side pockets for water bottles. And I'm going to love the bungee cord webbing to stow a light jacket or sweater. I purchased the mineral blue/dark lagoon so it's easy to spot. The fact that it only weighs 1.85 lbs win win. The way it's constructed and put together using high quality sturdy durable materials will provide me many many years of use and enjoyment.

As a petite curvy female I can say this fits perfectly. The straps are comfortable, the chest clasp is movable which was a very nice surprise. Its a great commuter backpack. Ive had multiple LL Bean backpacks over the years. The transit pack is great for weekends away but too big for a daily commuter. The mountain classic cordura was too small, and the Comfort Carry 28L which was a good size wasn't comfortable for my body type. This one is just right. I'm 4'11 and around 115 pounds, size 2 petite.

Bought for my daughter heading to college,, she loves it water bottle holder is nice, rain cover is nice and she can use for overnight treks as well as our family hikes. Super durable and versatile.

Perfect size and weight. Used for hiking close to home and putting jackets, hats and gloves once it warms up along with essentials.

Bought this to use as a travel backpack. Have only used it once (2 flights) and it is great so far! Plenty of space for "stuff", and the elastics on the outside are perfect for tucking a neck pillow in (I'm sure they'll end up useful for other things also) for easy access.

Turned out to be too narrow for my laptop but otherwise it was a great travel pack. Next time I'll measure more carefully! I could fit a lot of stuff in it otherwise.

The backpack is not as well built or as accommodating as the Bean model that I have been using almost daily for 10 years. I use it for my laptop and books and papers for teaching and business. The handle at the top in the current version is very thin, not padded and looks like it will tear out with little use. I returned it and am looking elsewhere.

There is a lot about this backpack that is great-roomy, comfortable, and good looking. That being said, the handle seriously LACKS. All of LLB backpacks have flimsy handles. And I mean ALL of them. I cannot find one that does not. This does not bode well with heavy book loads and serious carrying. Picking up this backpack with a heavier load hurts the fingers. Why make such a great backpacks and then skimp on the handle? All backpacks made for carrying books, computers, and heavier loads should have flat, heavily sewn- in, substantial handles. The handle, and only the handle, is the reason I returned this great backpack.

Excellent backpack. Roomy, light, durable, attractive and comfortable. I use it for oxygen tanks (size c tanks). Perfect support on my back.

Comfortable. In grad school with SEVERAL large textbooks, and the bag is able to carry all without feeling like it is breaking my back or digging into my shoulders. Very spacious

Light weight with ample room and several zippered compartments. I was looking for a backpack that didn't have a padded compartment (which I don't need and it adds weight) to use for hiking and traveling and this is perfect.

This bag is very roomy and all the pockets are deep!

This bag has lots of room and a ton of compartments. It's a great size for travel. I used it for a long flight to Hawaii. It held extra shoes and clothing, a neck pillow, headphones, snacks, books and magazines, ETC. It has zippered areas and huge storage areas. It's too large for day hikes but could be used for overnight travel.

I love the color - mahogany! The inside pockets are plentiful to organize the contents. The bag holds a lot of items so it is easy to carry too much. The lining is not black - much easier to find things. The handle could have been padded, but that doesn't detract too much from the bag.

Great bag! Has held up well! My daughter uses it for High School. She loves it. All her books fit well. Definitely recommend!

Seems durable and fits my 15.6" laptop snugly. Mostly purchased to replace another backpack that did not have side-sleeves for water bottles. The sleeves fit my 32 oz Owala easily.

The bag is used by our middle schooler and has been holding up great. The style is modern and functional and the color selection was good. Main compartments are a good size, and zippers are sturdy. The water bottle side compartments are much more durable being made from fabric rather than the mesh.

Love the size and pockets. I'm a teacher who travels to multiple buildings, and I love that everything doesn't just fall to the bottom.

Ordered for grand child so far so good, they have had before on average they last 5 years.
