Fair price for a quality product. Lightweight yet rugged enough for all backpack items ie iPad, cell, medications and other miscellaneous items. I'm very pleased with this purchase

This backpack is very comfortable, and I like that it has many different pockets. I think it would be nice to have a small pocket on the inside, not deep, that would hold just a couple of smaller items. However, I love this backpack.

This backpack is terrific - I love it!! I've had it for several weeks now and am wearing it to work (1.5 miles each way) and carrying a laptop, lunch, files and books, and usually also a pair of work shoes. It is perfectly coomfortable. I love the way it holds its shape, and it's the perfect blend of firmness and softness/cushion, both on the straps and the back. I especially love that the material doesn't chafe or pull my clothing; it's very smooth. The teal color is gorgeous and draws lots of compliments. The range of pockets is superbly designed, as is the strap across the top of the chest that keeps the shoulder straps together. Couldn't be happier with this purchase!

I have always sworn by LL Bean backpacks and have always had them throughout school with no problems. However after having this bag for not even six months (and putting much less use to it than past bags) the shoulder straps started ripping . Very disappointing compared to past quality.

The regular version of the Comfort Carry Backpack 30L, has bright blue colors and bright orange colors. The brightest color for this female version is the purple, which not all women like, and then duller colors as other choices. Why so "blah" for the female choices? I feel I have to get the female version due to my smaller shoulders, but I may just try the regular version because the colors are way better. The backpack itself is really nice and holds a LOT.

I love almost everything about this pack. The fit is great for a petite frame, and the design is very functional. However, one day I picked it up and the stitching on one of the straps started to come loose from the weight of the pack. I hope to have it for years to come, but I am afraid the straps will give way before the rest of it does.

My daughter loves it and her books fit in it well. I just wish the straps would stay where she adjusts them.

Exteremely comfortable fit and straps made for a female physique. Lots of room and good quality for price. However, there is one major design flaw and that is the organizational panel in the second compartment. The panel is at the BOTTOM and needs to be at the TOP. Who designed this? You can barely see and feel what you are trying to organize in the pen slots, zippered pockets and other. The compartment zipper only zips half-way, so that even makes it more difficult to see what you are doing. Other than this, it is a good bag, but because of the strange design I am sending it back.

I bought this to replace a beloved and much used backpack. I use this primarily for travel as a carry-on item. The size is good, it's light enough and comfortable enough. The straps are wide and supportive but stiff and not really comfortable. The inside pocket arrangement is not ideal for me, as I don't carry a laptop, and smaller electronics - phone, kindle, wireless ear buds etc. tend to fall to the bottom making them hard to access during travel. Minor details: it would be great to add a clip for your keys so you can find them easily. Also, I don't see the point of the stretchy cords on the outside as I'm unlikely to stuff a windbreaker or whatever in there as it makes the bag bulkier and unable to fit under the seat on an airplane.

Love everything about it. My only "suggestion " would be to make the laptop cushion removable for times that I am not carrying my laptop so backpack can be lighter and be more "flexible/shrinkable." Other than that I give it 5 stars

I ordered this in the Light Mahogany which was beautiful. I really wanted to keep this as it is GREAT for a variety of reasons , but I ended up returning it. The panel which holds pens/pencils, other items and smaller compartments is not at eye level when you open the backpack. It is stuffed at the bottom making it very difficult to see and arrange items. It is a guess ast to what is down there lol. Back it went. Bring that panel up to the top of the backpack where it is at eye level when you open the zipper and I will keep this!

I bought this bag spring 2021 to use for my office job. Not long after the top part of the outer right strap began fraying. After a year of use the satin binding on the interior of both straps began pilling. However, the biggest complaint I have isn't with construction but how poorly designed the bag is.
Water bottle pockets - I don't carry much but often have to force my water bottle to fit in the side pouch. The interior wall of the main compartment doesn't keep contents sufficiently separated.
Second half zip compartment - The thin fabric divider often gets in the way when trying to place something in this area. I don't use it much for this reason.
Smallest front zipper pocket - A nice size but because this pocket wasn't sewn onto the front panel it hangs freely and can easily get pulled into the fabric divider of the second compartment.
Overall the bag is fine but if you're looking to utilize the space efficiently be prepared for it to dictate what you can store. I'd only recommend this for casual students carrying flat rectangular objects. Nothing else.

My high schooler really likes the look and feel of this bag. However we are disappointed with the quality. We originally purchased this bag a year ago. We are now on our third one. The fists two each started ripping. The straps started to rip away from the bag. We've brought the bags back to the store and been given replacements without any issues, but this is an inconvenience and not what I'd expect from LLBean. We'd like to love this bag, but disappointed as it doesn't seem to be made with the quality we hoped for.

I am of mixed minds about this backpack.
Pros:
- it really is more comfortable to carry - the main helper is the hip belt. Many school backpacks have a sternum belt, but I haven't seen a hip belt on any other school-friendly backpack, and that is why in spite of the cons, I would still recommend this backpack
- attractive design, with thoughtful touches, like zipper pulls and the bungee
Con:
- not very durable. My kid has carried this backpack for a year and a half, and one of the straps is tearing away, both straps are fraying, the mesh at the bottle pockets are torn, and there is a hole in one of the bottle pockets. It's still functional, but the durability is disappointing, especially at this price. Her previous backpack (from another company) she used for 5 years and is still in great condition, but we switched to this backpack, because as her school load has gotten heavier, the boxy design of the other backpack made it heavy to carry. It looks like they changed the main fabric of this bag in more recent versions to the same fabric they use in the Book Packs, which is a more flexible material - so hopefully some of the durability issues have been fixed. But please fix the other issues (mainly straps)!

I loved this bag for my middle schooler. It has a laptop sleeve, plenty of room for binders and folders, multiple deep pockets and great colors.
She used it for EIGHT school days and the strap started to tear. I'm so sad. Our previous LL Bean bags have lasted years and this didn't even make it through two weeks of 6th grade. I was hoping for something sturdier, especially for $90. Really disappointed.

Bought this backpack in the fall to replace an old LLBean backpack that I had been using for years for work as a teacher. I usually just carry my laptop and a planner in it, nothing too heavy. It is now January and the straps are starting to fray at the top, just as other people have experienced with this backpack. Disappointing because I love everything else about the backpack.
