I have plantar fasciitis, and I bought it to walk because of the technology, but I felt pain after the walk. I don't know if this one is right for the condition.
I would like you to recommend any other for this condition, or if this one is not good for that.
Thanks for your attention

I ordered my typical size in Clifton 9s (have purchased before), but for whatever reason, the GTX version feels huge. will have to exchange.

I've been wearing the shoes indoors because I'm not certain about the fit. They are not uncomfortable, but neither are they as comfortable as I expected. I see that there is an all gender version of this shoe, and wonder whether that would be more comfortable.

Love my Clifton 9's, great support and comfort for my back, new hip, and knees. I wear them every day for walking, shopping, even in the house. The Clifton 9 gtx isn't as comfortable to wear. I won't buy another pair.

They are great for running when it is wet out but the insoles I have to wear sit a little high in the heel which causes it slide more than I like. I also have repeatedly gotten bruises on the dops of my feets although I have tried tieing them a few ways.

I got these because I deliver mail and walk 4-8 miles a day and I walk through wet grass. I avoid puddles/standing water and my feet still get wet with these I'm really disappointed and the soul is starting to come off and I just got these 9/21/23.

First time with this model and I'm a little disappointed to be honest. I've worn out about 4 pair of Bondi in the last 3 years (avid walker, not a runner) and hoped these would save my normally soggy winter feet (I live in the PNW). The cushioning isn't nearly as good as Bondi, but my primary beef is the sewn tongue that doesn't have any give to get my high arch, high volume foot inside easily. Fixing the tongue makes the shoe more resistant to water, but without some elastic, it also hinders getting the shoe on and off. I kept them, but I won't choose them again.

Love Hokas and have become a bit of an addict but the new Gortex Clifton, whilst great, is a little loose on the ankle.

These have a different fit than the regular Clifton 9. I need to order a size up.

I had such high hopes for these shoes. Unfortunately the comfort level is not meeting my needs. I will try another model to see if it makes a difference.

So I really just walk around my job in them. I typically don't run unless something is chasing me. These are so dang comfortable but a piece on the bottom of the shoe is already peeling up and I only bought them about 2 weeks ago. They are still super comfortable though. I will make a claim to maybe replace them.

Stiffer than expected. Also, while I generally like a wider toe box, the front of this shoe was actually TOO roomy overall, to the point that my foot felt a bit 'insecure' and less stable.

I wanted to like this shoe very much. It's a great concept for the autumn and early winter. But even though this shoe is the same size as my other Clifton's it is very wide. My foot moves around too much inside of the shoe.
I think I can make it work with a very thick sock but it's not the same fit as my usual Clifton's. The length is fine but it's a different fit for sure. Probably wouldn't buy this type of shoe again.

Great shoe but the medium width is too tight for my "neuropathy" in my feet.

These are not waterproof. Hiked in persistent light in Scotland. After 1 hour, my feet were soaked.

The shoes have no breathing whatsoever. So if you want sweaty stinky feet/shoes these are the ones.

I probably currently have 10 or 12 pairs of hocus. I started out with Clifton and I also really like Ahari with a couple in between that I wasn't that fond of. I was excited about a waterproof Clifton, however, the fit was way off. It was almost like a different shoe? Anyway I have a narrow foot and these hurt around my ankles and just didn't seem to have the cushion that I'm used to inside the tongue and around the ankle in a regular Clifton or Ahari. . I had to send them back.

In only 6 months these are worn out and uncomfortable. I have been buying Hoka's for the last 6 years of working in the medical field and these have me disappointed. After less than 6 months the bottom rubber is all peeling off and extremely uncomfortable. I know Hoka will take the reviews and make a better shoe with them in mind.
P.S I wish I could insert pictures.

Sadly, these hurt my ankles as in there is not enough cushioning. Also, I find the cushioning for the sole to be lacking. I'm really surprised.

We bought Hokas for our kids in 2024 because they are in marching band; on the concrete marching for hours, running laps, on their feet for hours during practices, performances, competitions. The first pairs were great. Then we bought new pairs for everyone in 2025. Within a couple of weeks, the material started deteriorating and the comfort level was evidently less. Both of our kids said their legs and feet were hurting as well as their lower back after about a month. I was so dissatisfied and disappointed because the cost went up, but the quality clearly went down.

I have a high arch, these shoes are not uncomfortable but they do not offer the support I need for being on my feet all day. I have heel pain, Achilles pain, and these shoes make that pain worse because it doesnt support my arch enough.

The first hokas I ever bought were a pair of Clifton 9's I purchased for Marty and Liz at a discount. They were the best shoes I had ever owned. So when it was time to get more I decided to code the hookah website paid almost $200 for these shoes. They're wide and very loose through the toe box. All that allows for my foot to slip and not stay positioned correctly in the heel and it's causing my feet and hips to hurt

A few months ago I bought my 1st pair of Hoka,Clifton10 light pink and black in a local store fere in Rockville, MD. I fell in love instantly with the shoe. It felt like I was walking on CLOUDS. I have since ordered many different pairs of Hokas online. But unfortunately, except for one they were all promptly returned because I have not been able to replicate the same plush feel and this feeling of walking on air. I am about to return my latest purchase, the Clifton 9 GTX. It's supposed to be Neutral with extra layers of Plushness. I've been trying them in the house and I find them hard to walk in. There's no cushion, no plushness! I went to an Orthopedist last week and she recommended Neutral and Plush. So I just ordered another Clifton 10 and a Mafate X in men's size since they have better colors than Women's. Please Hoka! Don't let me be disappointed again!
I really really want the Plushness promised with the Mafate X That's the only way I can walk sans backache and hip pain.
