These are less “cushiony” than my Clifton 8’s but the feel more supportive to my feet. After breaking in the feel great snd do not hurt my feet. They are really wide (I have wide feet but wear a B) and extra space on top make the shoes look huge-almost like clown shoes! I don’t care-I wear them for the comfort and support and not the looks!
I'd also recommend:
I like Sketchers slip ins but not for extensive walking.

I always wear a 9.5. The biggest issue with these HOKAs is that the toe box is HUGE. It made me look like i had snow shoes on. The rest of the shoe was fine but HOKA needs to relax the huge widths especially when it wasn't a WIDE shoe to start with. I have a previous pair on RINCON HOKA and they are not huge in the toe box and are great. They unfortunately don't sell those anymore??

The shoe is amazingly comfortable a little wide as because it came in wide and I ordered just a size 9 not a 9B. I checked the receipt and it just says size 9 so I'm not sure about that. Otherwise I love them.

I wasn't sure about keeping this shoe at first. The toe box seemed too low on one shoe and was rubbing my big toe. I solved that by stuffing the toe box with a wash cloth for a few days which stretched it out enough. I usually wear Biondi 7s and this shoe is much stiffer. I wore them around the house for a few days then did some outdoor walks with them. They are now comfortable and I don't think about them when they are on my feet and I wear them all day. Bought them for a spring trip to Alaska and I am expecting some wet conditions. I got them in the blue color which I love and have gotten a few compliments on the color. I am glad I was patient and took the time to break them in as I really wanted this shoe to work. I have several foot issues and my podiatrist had recommended Hoka for me. I also took out the factory inserts and put in Power Step inserts - all good! I need a wide toe box bc of bunions. Keeping these shoes!

I bought these shoes for work. The first week, my feet, felt great, no more heel pain. My legs weren't tired. I've already recommended these to a friend and her husband.

This shoe is nice a little narrow at lateral toe are( pinky toe) so if your feet have a tendency to swell like mine do this may not be for you I bought 8B womens, however the rest of the shoe true to size

I always wear size 8 and I had to return the size 8 in the CLifton 9 ..maybe because of it being Waterproof...and the material being not the least bit soft like regular Hokas. It hurt my toes!! I will return the 8 as I just bought an 8.5.Anyway the real test is when I wear them in the rain.

Great.
I was hoping for a more cloudy feeling. But it's ok.

The she is great but there is something that is hurting the top part of my foot on the left. It's probably just my foot. Otherwise it's a really comfortable shoe. Hoka's are the best for me just not this particular shoe

Before buying these shoes, I read the comments and most people said that these shoes made their feet hurt and they weren't comfortable. My guess would be that they did allow time to break in the shoes! They are comfortable when they form to your feet. They are waterproof as they say. I work 12 hour shifts and I am on my feet all day. These are great! I just wish they weren't so expensive.

I am on my feet for most of the day. I like the bounce I get walking back and forth in the corridor. I definitely would purchase again. Matter of fact this was my second purchase in a month and I just received 2 more that I purchased today. My only problem is that I think I might have to go half size up. I got so much compliments.

I have worn Cliftons for walking for the past several years and purchased these for walking in inclement weather. I am only giving them four stars because they do not fit as well as my regular Cliftons and I'm getting some heel slippage even though I tie using the heel lock technique which I use on all my athletic shoes. I also have not had the opportunity to test them in wet conditions. I will be experimenting with thicker socks since I have already worn them outside.

I love my regular Clifton 9s. They just aren’t very warm for the winter. Very “airy”. I got these to help that issue. I wouldn’t say these are warm but they are warmer than the regular Clifton 9 and keep some of the cold air out. They stay much drier, which is great. They are a little more stiff. Hopefully they break in a little bit. Overall they fill the need that I was looking for. They are very comfortable compared to other shoes I’ve worn. I just wish they made these in composite or steel toe as well. I’d totally buy them for work.

A really comfortable shoe and true to size! I got the Dazzling Blue / Evening Sky color. It's beautiful, but definitely a bit brighter and bluer than expected.

I wear Clifton's and decided to try the gortex version for the winter. They are definitely a little more rigid than the regular Clifton's but I expected that. I do wish they had made these in wide like they do the regular ones but I sized up a half size and that seems okay.

Absolutely love this shoe, the fit is spot on, the feel is good - my only takeaway is that the insole are rather thin. Making me remove a star for the insoles. I changed insoles and absolutely love them.

Very comfortable waterproof shoes, and I am so relieved they are not needing "broken in" before my vacation. Unable to use my comfy inserts as I have in my first pair, due to they make the shoes too tight. I'm hoping I won't need them after all for the plantar fasciitis.

While comfortable, and has a hard protective outer to protect you from getting exposed to sharps and body fluids, it unfortunately has a fine fabric webbing over it that can't be wiped clean from fluids and stains.

I love Hokas. I tried these in my size, a 9 1/2 and a 10 and both didn't seem to have a roomy enough toe box. I could tell me toe would hit the side/top. Had to return them.
