I tried on several different models of hoka shoes and these fit me the best and felt the most comfortable. I love how springy they feel on my feet! And I really like the colors. I tried this on in the store, but they didn't have this color so I had to order it online. The reason I gave it three stars instead of five is because the pull strap at the heel frayed within the first week of using it. This is an expensive shoe so I would expect higher quality details. I have a pair of Altra trail runners that I have one for years and the pull strap still looks fairly new.

The shoes are pretty comfortable but after 5 hrs of being on my feet, at work, my feet started hurting. After paying 175.00 for the shoes, I really didn't expect that to happen. Not sure yet, if I would buy another pair...

I tried this shoe because of the ugly colors and design in the Stinson 7 which I have always worn. This shoe promised the same stability and padding. The colors were not bad, other than I am no a pink fan personally but the sole of the shoe is designed with an open space up through the ball of the foot which is not supportive or comfortable on uneven off road surfaces. It felt less supportive due to this and would not be practical off road with things getting stuck in this empty space. I like the Stinson 7 much better but do not like the looks/design of that shoe surface. Sadly, it feels like so many HOKA shoes look like Easter eggs not shoes with the garish colors. This could be easily rectified by simply including some darker basic colors in each shoe collection along with all the around the world sherbert colors that some folks enjoy. But darker soles show less dirt also!

I struggle with foot pain and knee pain and saw good reviews for this brand . While they have great cushion they hurt my feet terribly. I'll stick with my Skechers.

The fit was as expected - a little wider than average but not super wide for a B width. The sole is just TOO much. It sticks out on the side at least an inch. Made my feet look like a platypus.

The Gaviota 4 is not as bulky and flared and wide. Do not like the 5 compared to the 4. Just searched and finally found a 4 in my size. I hope when the Gaviota 6 comes out it goes back to the more compact Gaviota 4.

I bought this pair because my kids gave me a Hoka gift card for Christmas. I really don't like to order shoes online because after having foot surgery years ago I've learned it's best to try shoes on before committing to them long-term. I did try on several different pairs of Hokas in a store, and ordered what fit best. The only complaints I have about these are that I'm not a fan of the super-roomy toe box, and that the arch support is just a tad aggressive for the shape of my foot; it feels a bit like standing with a bar underfoot. Other than that they are comfortable enough to accomplish the purpose for which they were bought, and I'm glad I didn't waste my kids' gift. That said, I don't think I will purchase Hoka again, as there are other brands that seem to fit my feet better.

I was prepared to love these shoes. The main problem is that my feet are narrow but often mediums will work when I wear thick, athletic socks. The toe box is way too wide for me this time. The color and fabric are attractive. I ordered the light gray which is pretty toned down and goes well with about everything. Cushioning is there though the amount of outside platform might take some getting used to.

I liked that the shoe is wider in the toe box, but after wearing the shoe for a 12 hr shift at work as an RN, the bottoms of my feet hurt pretty bad. I understand the shoe provides more stability with the H design, it is not great for standing on your feet for 12 hrs. I liked the Bondi 8 a lot better, more plush and cushioned.

The sneaker is comfortable, for sure, however the toe box is large and makes the shoe look a bit clownish. My other Hokas were not like this and I prefer the leaner look.

The shoe is very comfortable and the wider width I had read bad reviews about felt okay. However, they look so strange because they're so wide! I felt like I was walking on a ping pong paddle when I looked down on them. They're as comfortable as my ASICS Gel Kayanu 29s, so I'll go back to ASICS.

I love this shoe for comfort and is very light weight. I have had the Gaviota previously but this version felt wider and bulkier, just felt it looked clunky. I will return and see if I can settle on a different Hoka.

I have medium arches and these were painful for me! I think that they were just hitting me in the wrong spot but I could feel my arches getting sore after just walking around my house for ten minutes. They also look really unattractive from above; I was okay with the overall bulkiness but they looked like duck feet from my vantage point. Returned.

This is the second pair of Hokas I've tried, but both had way too much room in the toe box for me. I order a B width to accommodate my prescription orthotic, even though I have narrow feet. With Brooks shoes, a tongue pad makes them work for me, but the same is not (sadly) true for the Hokas.

Gaviota 3 & 4 worked great for my skinny, low-volume foot, providing ample cushioning and a stiff enough sole that my bunion area (specifically, the sesamoid bone below the ball of my foot) did not flex too much when walking. The shape of Gaviota 5 has changed. It is wider in the forefoot, like clown shoes, and the shoe is squishier, so my toe flexes more when I walk, which is painful. I am disappointed to have spent all this money and now have to start over to find a shoe that works. I wish they had stuck with a good thing.

I needed comfortable shoes for walking. I have arthritis in my feet, and hoped they would ease the pain. The shoes are okay, but my feet still hurt when I take walks.

While the sizing and color are exactly as I wanted...I don't find these shoes comfortable. They have a hard inner sole and the left show rubs on the top of my foot. Been trying to adjust to accommodate with the laces. I am disappointed as members of my family raved on the Hoka brand...maybe it's just the model i picked; they were pricey for what I'm experiencing.
