I love the support I get from this shoe. Issues with my foot make running a challenge. The Gaviota 5 gives support and balance to overcome some my issues with ease.
The only thing I don't like is to wear a billboard on my shoe. I like the discrete symbol way better the oversize HOKA label on this new pair.

I'm currently healing from a trimalleolar fracture, and I often experience swelling in one of my ankles. This particular shoe fits both of my feet perfectly and provides much-needed comfort during my recovery.

Ot took some time, tears, many returns. But I didn't give up. I found my shoes. Thanks to Kelly F. from Texas. You was "Spot On. " I'll be a HOKA girl all mt days. I pray they get others on the H bed so I can bit different styles. Since I have to protect myself from falling. Don't give up keep calling. You might get some nean girls who really don't care about your health. Call back there are many others who truly care. Kelly F. * hugs*
I had to by for my health many medical reasons. My doctor recommended HOKA :-)

Shoes are very comfortable. Next time I will definitely compare the price prices. They are expensive.

The forefoot width of the Gaviota 5 was overly generous for me, which somewhat negatively affects appearance of the shoe, especially since I wear a larger shoe size. Overall the Gaviota 5 shoe was excellent except for that appearance issue. I had been previously wearing Arahi 6s, and the toe box of the Arahi 6 was on the narrow side for me, but workable with thinner socks and stretching out with wear.

I love the shoes, however my feet are big anyway and these made my feet appear much larger. The shoes are great though in terms of comfort and support, and I highly recommend them. I’ll probably get them in a black so they don’t appear so big.

As a heavy person (260 lbs) that enjoys walking and trail hiking, these shoes have changed my life. I used to get knee pain (old injury) or lower back pain (not to mention my feet felt destroyed) after 2-3 hour walk (5-6 miles). I can now do my "long" weekend walks AND keep walking durning the week with no pain. They have the perfect cushion and the stability is truly impressive (I used to have issues rolling my ankles). I've worn these walking all over Barcelona (8 mile days) and also walked the Caminito de Rey in these with absolutely no problems. I do wish they had a tiny bit more traction for loose dirt/gravel, but on pavement they are heavenly.

I ordered a pair of these shoes several months ago. They are so wonderful I ordered another pair in another color. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.

I need to wear orthotics in order for me to walk all day and exercise without any pain. These shoes are so comfortable and supportive that I don't need to wear them. I'm looking to buy a second pair.

Only shoe that supports my high arch. Most times, I need a supportive insert to do this job. Tried all the shoes that claimed to be highest stability and only the Gaviota 5 was comfortable. I did have to go down a half-size in this shoe.

Invested in my first pair of divine Hoka running shoes and see why they are so popular. It's like walking on clouds and flying thru the air! They are colorful and unique. Only downside is that they are pricey.

I switched to Hoka shoes many, many pairs ago and love them, especially the Gaviotas. Unfortunately, a year or two ago the Gaviota 4s seemed to run narrow in the toe box and I was bummed because one of the reasons I loved them was they ran a little wider. To my great delight the Gaviota 5s are back to having more room in the toe box! Thank you. Please don't change them!

I didn't want to spend this much money, but these are like walking on a cloud. My bunion area throbs some time, so this additional width will be perfect.

WOW. I don't think I'll ever have another walking shoe besides a Hoka. It's a major difference maker. I tried the Graviota 5, Clifton 9, and Arahi 7. The Graviota 5 was the hands-down winner. I did like the Clifton 9 for style best, but for comfort, the Graviota takes the cake (Now please make them in white!). The comfort level was felt immediately and held up during many miles now too. The Graviota has a good, wide toe box and incredible cushion. My big toe kept rubbing against the toe box in the Clifton, and the Arahi came in third for comfort for me out of the three I ordered to try. I get the hype from podiatrists! They really are an incredibly well-made shoe to put miles on your feet!

I have talked to other Hoka wearers, all said how comfortable they were. Comfortable is an understatement, until you actually try them there just aren't words to describe them. I have endured lower back pain for years. Since wearing my Hoka's my pain level has decreased substantially.
Absolutely love these shoes!

This shoe is not for everyone. The toe box is wide. They are perfect for me. I didn't even realize how crowded my toes were before. I do not have a wide foot. They felt amazing from day one. I plan to purchase another pair.
