Love these shoes ! Put them on and went for a run immediately - as always, right out of the box they are a comfortable perfect fit, with great stability. Although I'd love a little more arch support, it is easily rectified with an insert.

I was a Hoka Bondi 8 regular width wearer. I have bunions and just use for walking and work. I went to Stan's today to try and find wedding shoes. Talking to the staff I said my lesser bunion was really hurting today...trying on lots of shoes that hurt too much for a decision. He said have you tried The Hoka Gaviota 5. I did and wore them out pain free. I got the wide version. These are wider but so much fun to wiggle ALL your toes. The stability plate is noticeable when I had one of each of my Hokas on. If you have Bunions this is a must try shoe!!!!

I've been suffering from a ligament tendon problem in my foot for a long time now, been wearing an aircast boot because I'm not able to wear any of my shoes. A couple of weeks ago I had another treatment on my foot which I'm required to still wear the boot but lately the boot isn't working for me anymore. I've been in some discomfort and limited on activities. Since I can't wear any of my current footwear I tried to get new sneakers, clogs, slippers, etc but to no avail, nothing provides relief. So in my extensive research on footwear I came across this specific sneak and its technology and long behold this is it! I ordered them, tried them and FINALLY I found something that doesn't cause any discomfort on my foot. Not only that, it provides perfect stability and support around my whole foot. Although it's a bit pricey it's so well worth it for my recovery just wish I could get another pair. Now I can finally get back to some light walking and not risk on reinjuring my foot. Thank you HOKA for making the best sneaker on the planet!!!

This is a bit wider and I usually get wide but this regular is perfect. I use an insert to help with a metatarsal lift that is OTC.

I bought these for its wider toe box which helps relieve pressure on a toe with neuropathy pain and they work so well. I can wear these shoes all day with no pain whatsoever. Comfortable with good cushioning and support. I’m buying another pair, maybe two, in case they change it up next year.

These shoes are working out great for my daughter who is a certified nursing assistant. She is on her feet all night for 12 hours and she has tried several shoes but LOVES the HOKA. When I ordered these as a gift, I ordered 9 regular. When she got them, they were tight on her and she needed a wide. I didn't think I would be able to return them because she wore them to work, but I was able to complete an EASY exchange and was shocked at how quickly the new shoes arrived - within two days. She is thrilled with the new fit and size. I was thrilled with the outstanding customer service. Highly recommend this company!

I have arthritis and a bad knee. These sneakers are even better than the Cliftons I've been wearing for about 5 years that have not quite worn out yet. Even though they don't seem as cushy at first due to the stabilization feature, I have been able to walk MUCH more than before, crushing the 10,000 steps when for the past 4 years I've just been able to do around 5,000. 10/10, would buy again!

These run larger than the Bondi. I had to size down. They are providing good stability and are well cushioned (but less bouncy than Bondi). Great fit for my bunion issues- lots of room around the toes.

These shoes are beyond comfortable! They keep my plantar fasciitis at bay and allow me to work long shifts. They run a little big, about 1/2 size. I ordered a 10.5 and they fit perfectly.

I have foot problems due to a tibial fracture years ago that healed slightly bent. For years I ran in new balance 860s and they were fine but then I unexpectedly developed hallux rigidus. I was looking for a stability shoe with a rocker bottom sole and I settled on these. Normally, the Bondi is the recommended shoe for hallux rigidus but I know with my pronation deformity I've always done better in a stability shoe, so these are the first shoes I tried. They are like Bondi's with stability. Nothing is perfect but I like them just as much as the new balance 860s and time will tell if they prevent my hallux rigidus from getting worse. I really like the wide to box and I have no problem fitting a gel insole inside them. I purchased in wide as I normally due and they are a little wider than I'm used to but I think that's fine. I run in them but I think they are also fine for everyday wear.

I got the evening sky/coral color in 8 wide and these babies are my absolute favorite pair of shoes I've ever put on my feet. I have two pair of Bondi 8, two speed gates (I wish any of the goretex came in wide but they don't) and a pair of Clifton's in wide. I haven't tried the Bondi 8 in wide yet but will at some point. These shoes are so comfortable, roomie and just give my feet a nice hug. Everything is cushioned where it needs to be since these are plush. I wore them for 8 hours today walking on and off most of the day and for the first time in decades my feet aren't sore anywhere. I have inherited bunions on both feet from my grandma and boy oh boy my right foot usually always aches because of the ol bunion. I refuse to get surgery simply because it's my feet and it's not guaranteed and I don't want to risk hurting them more. These shoes are my answer! I'm so impressed with how durable and comfortable they are. I love the colors and I just really appreciate Hoka shoes. I will definitely buy more in different colors. I walked on concrete, wood surface, gravel and dirt today with some surfaces wet. They don't slip at all. Sometimes even with bunions wide shoes are too wide for me, these aren't. They are just perfect for my issues. Hope this helps.

Used to have problems with plantar fasciitis and knee problems. With the correct sizing and shoe needs, I don't have these problems any longer with earring Hoka. I even bought the flip flop sandals for summer. I've tried to wear my other shoes from another brand and I begin to feel the pain and problems coming back.

Gaviota 5 feels a bit more snug in the toe box compared to the Stinson which is a good thing. Gaviota is also lighter in weight, also a good thing for me. I actually think I prefer the Gaviota over the Stinson. Both are great so maybe it's only about making a color choice. I bought both in colors that I liked.

My search for a meaningful running shoe is finally over! I put these on and went out for the first time today after having bunion and ankle pain in my left foot for months, wearing Brooks and almost hobbling down the road. I felt 20 years younger and absolutely no pain in my ankle or my toe bone, and I did not want to take them off. I haven't walked this fast in months. Good room in the toe box and has removable insert for more room if needed. Totally supportive and comfy. I typically choose size 10 in running shoes and went with 9 1/2 after reading reviews. Perfect fit. I chose evening sky/coral to hide dirt. Love this color combo on! Looks nicer than website.

After searching for over a year for a pair of shoes that I can walk in without pain, I finally found them! I have had plantar fasciitis for over a year. Been to the podiatrist twice, three cortisone shots later, and still struggling to find the right footwear. I put these on and instantly am relieved of pain in my foot. I'm not kidding you! They are as light as a feather. I bought the citrus glow/sunlit ocean because I couldn't pass up the beautiful color! They are a fashion statement for sure. Now I need a black pair because I don't want to get these dirty wearing them outside. Thank you, Hoka!

This was my first time trying Hoka's. The shoes were great and everything the hype said they were. Quality materials and construction. The soles were supportive and cushioned (without being spongy), and the shoes are shaped to the foot. I do have my own orthodics, which have higher arches, so I would say the insole of these Hoka's had a medium arch. I ordered both a W and M. I wear a 6.5W in New Balance. These in 6.5W felt like triple wides. I am hoping the Ms will fit as needed. This is the first time I have experienced too much room in a sneaker. Lastly, this style is lower around the sides of the heel than the going trend, so they were comfortable around the heel, too (the sides did not ram my ankle bones or scrape the back of my heel). The sole, heel, footbed, materials, and construction have me hoping that Hoka can be my new brand if the Mediums fit me.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance, Dansko
