I'm 75 and walk 3 miles 3-4 times a week. This is my second pair of HOKA shoes and I love them. I don't wear the same shoe 2 days in a row, I have a total of 5 shoes, 2 pr Hoka and 3 others. I would only wear the hoka if I could afforestation.

This is my 2nd pair of HOKA (Gaviota) shoes. I don't run or even walk fast much anymore, but feet are important and HOKAs provide me with the support and cushioning that I need to be comfortable whether I'm walking on uneven ground or on hard surfaces. I've experienced what happens when I'm not wearing proper footwear so I will wear these forever.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I wish I could wear them all day, every day! I wear these for HIIT style workouts, weight training, walking and running and they feel great in everything I do.

I have very unstable feet and see podiatrist who recommended HOKA shoes. Has really made walking easier. Highly recommend these shoes.

The Gaviata running shoe is the shoe I wear just about exclusively. They are supportive, light weight and very comfortable. I like the Bondi 7 but if your foot is narrow, Gaviata is the way to go.

I am just like a weeble! I tip easily and get unsteady. I need a shoe with a rounded toe space and stabilizers and the HOKA Gaviota 5's
are the one! Soooo comfortable!
Thank you HOKA!! Polly Heaton

I ordered several pairs of different shoes and sizes. Including Bondi, Clifton and Gaviota. Gaviota was the last shoe to arrive and I am so glad it did!!! All the other shoes hurt my feet or were uncomfortable. Gaviota is perfect, once i found the right size. So, in short. All the shoes Hoka offers fit differently for different types of feet. So, you need to try a few different ones before giving a bad review. It could just be the wrong shoe for your feet. I am so glad Hoka offers shoes for all types of feet! My feet couldn't be happier! Thank you Hoka! For reference, I have overpronation, hamstring problems and high arches. Gaviota is the perfect shoe for me! Happy feet over here!!!

I recently fractured my ankle and managed to sprain toes on the other foot on my way down. What can I say? I'm a special kind of clutz. I needed a shoe that would be wide enough to support the ankle brace as I transitioned out of my boot and had a wide enough toe box that it wouldn't put any pressure on my healing sprained toes on the other foot. I tried the Bondi, but the toebox was too small. This one was just wide enough to be perfect. The sole was also tall enough that while I had my heavy duty boot on when not using the ankle brace, it balanced me in my walking.

It took a few tries to find the right size but once found - they're amazing. I'm not sure what happened to their sizing, 6.5 is not the usual US 6.5, it's waaaaay larger.

Foot doctor listened to my "complaints" and recommended Hoka. Went to a shoe store and both sales people had on the Gaviota (spelling) model for woman. Wear one or the other every day. Feel feel great and my gait or walk seems to be improving. My knees feel better and I no longer avoid walking. Was surprised that I measured out for a 9 but so be it. Will purchase again and probably sooner than later.

I love my bondi 7 have two pair. I like my Clifton 9, but my back starts hurting in them for not enough cushioning. I work at a school so lots of standing and walking. Also I have a bad back. These are a combination of the two. The cushion from the bondi and the stability of the Clifton. Hope they stick with this still and not change it like they did he bondi. Bondi 8 are not comfortable for me

I was training for a marathon with Hoka bondis but my feet swell with heat and humidity. I found the toe box wasn't wide enough. The gaviotas were perfect, wide toe box and good arch support.

I purchased the Gaviota 5 in women as it had the cushion AND stability component that I needed since I have pronation. They have been the best shoes for work. I am able to stand for longer periods of time especially without pain.

I am a hyper mobile dancer and have been dealing with ankle issues, living in NYC and walking on concrete with these shoes has provided so much more support than other stability shoes. I've had Saucony Guide 15, New Balance Fresh Foam X and some Adidas shoes, but nothing has supported my ankle like the Gaviota 5! I found that dancing barefoot can trigger my ankle issues, but afterwards I put these on to walk in the city and they actually corrrect my ankle alignment! Running in them I feel so supported, my heels never strike the ground and I'm running great on the ball of my feet. The toe box is much wider than I'm used to and the HOKA store machine tells me to get a half size larger, there is a lot more space in my shoes but they seem to work well with my feet.

These Hoka's are great and do compare favorably with my Hoka Bondi 7's except they are wider which means I can wear a 10 B instead of my usual 10 D which in this case meant I was able to get a prettier color. The cushioning is great also which is the most important to me. No other shoe I have ever tried except for the Hoka Bondi 7 has this wonderful cushioning. Thanks to those whose reviews I read helped me to try these Gaviota 5's since they discontinued the Bondi 7's.

I normally purchase the Hoka Bondi shoes but felt the last pair was a little tighter in the ball of the foot/toe box. I purchased the Gaviota and felt the toe box was roomier. Fit is similar to the Bondi.

"I gave my new Hokas a good test drive today and they were great! This is the second pair I purchased, but I returned the first pair because they're a lot wider at the base of the shoe and I felt like I was wearing a platypus on each foot!
Recently, I noticed I was rolling my right foot while walking and sometimes walking on the outer side of my foot. Both of my sisters love Hokas, so I decided to try them again.
I'm sold now! This shoe keeps my feet stable, they're real comfortable with great arch support.
They're not cheap, but really good for mobility.
Keep on truckin' everyone!"

I have plantar fasciitis so I was looking for a comfortable sneaker for my work. I do a lot of walking. It gives good arch support as well as cushioning and I don't have any pain at the end of my long day. It was well worth the price to pay for the comfort, plus I really like the style too. I heard about Hoka sneakers from a colleague and I would highly recommend them.

My feet are never sore in these no matter how many miles. Perfect fit! I'm narrow with high arch and pronate inward. No knee pain.
