Use shoes for daily wear, love the wide toe box and arch support. Someone with wide foot and very high arch, these are the most comfortable shoes I have worn in years. I have three pair, one for barn use, one for wearing in our house while working from home and finally a pair for going to town.

Perfect fit, fabulous comfort, fantastic stability. The ultimate, most comfortable, super awesome shoe!!! The Gaviota helped get me back out walking after a long battle with plantar fasciitis. I'm walking so much now I'm wearing them out!!!!

So good for my custom orthotics. I have plantar fasciitis and you have to have a good shoe. This is the best for me because it has maximum cushion and maximum stability, which is very important for me. People with plantar fasciitis have feet that have a tendency to roll out or in; these shoes prevent that. This is my second pair and I will buy a third pair very soon. Just buy them, you won't regret it!

I have been wearing Hoka Bondi since 2015 when recommended by my podiatrist. I loved that shoe for cushioning on my bone-on-bone knee and walking long distances. But, the Bondi started proving too narrow for my feet and I got corns on both feet below and just outside my little toes on both feet (the Birkenstock Gyza probably had more to do with that). So I tried the Gaviota last November 2023 but found they just did not have the cushion the Bondi does even though more room in the toe box and an overall wider shoe. Now I have the Gaviota 5 and the added benefit of more cushion--the perfect match for me. I am 73, walk about 2 miles every day with my dog, go to personal training and exercise class 4 days a week, BUT I have bad knees and bad feet. I always take out the insole and replace with the Powerstep with added metatarsal support and I go up a size in that insole to take up a little more room in the Gaviota. For me, perfection!

Ive ordered 4 pairs so far, bondi 8, bondi 7, skyflow. These are by far the most comfy out of the 4. I wear these everyday to work (walking on concrete) and my feet feel fantastic. I am a 9.5 regular width. The bondis ran narrower and the skyflow was comparible with adidas. These gaviotas were wider in the toe box which is suuuuper comfy for all day walking.

Love everything about this shoe! I have three pair just in different colors. I'm super sad though my yellow pair are wore out and now the color is discontinued. Please bring back some bright vibrant colors!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SHOE!

I used to wear Hoka Stinsons on nearby mountain trails, but I tried the Gaviota 5 and I appreciate the extra room in the toe box. I have high arches, over pronate on my right foot, and started forming Tailor's bunions from not enough room in the toe box. The Gaviota also accommodates my arch supports from The Good Feet Store. It's a winning combination for me. Just got my second pair! Thanks for making a quality shoe with just the right amount of support for lots of trail walking, standing, and everything in-between.

I am usually an 8.5 in sneakers but in Hoka's I'm always an 8 so they run a bit larger. This is my first hoka sneaker that I've tried that has had great heel support and I don't feel like I'm slipping out of them. Provides great stability and cushion.

I have been buying different brands of running shoes and am finally satisfied with the Hoka Gaviota 5. I need stability and a wide toe bed and have a narrow heel. The shoes are perfect. The shock absorption is also good. As an older runner, I need as much support as possible and these shoes are great. When they wear out, I will buy them again.

Over the years I've suffered several episodes of plantar fasciitis. I'd read about Hoka being good for this condition. Then my daughter bought a pair and recommended them. They are very comfortable and provide the support I need.

The great support in these sneakers doesn’t sacrifice a comfortable shoe. I have some arthritis in my feet and knee replacements, so these sneakers are perfect for my 2 mile walk. Support and cushion perfectly balanced.

The Gaviota 5 fits my foot perfectly. I am athletic! Love hiking! I also have a less common type of arthritis which means I need extra cushion, a wide footbed. I pair this with a quality insert like Power Step for even more ankle and arch support. This shoe is also designed so you can tie it up for even more ankle support. If you hike, buy a half size too big to accommodate your hiking socks. Finally, the shoe looks GREAT!

I have 4 pairs of Hoka Cliftons, which I really liked, but when i saw that the Gaviota 5's had even more stability, I decided to try them. They have made all the difference in my being able to walk longer each day. I love the roomy toe box and I love that my feet are more stable which reduces pain and fatigue in my back. I am 71 years old and have several issues with my feet. These are a game changer. Please don't ever chnage them!

I'm on my feet on a concrete slab as a cashier and these shoes make my day . I'm looking to get a pair for my husband so he doesn't have to hear about them constantly from me,he can experience them himself. If considering insoles I would recommend getting the wide version.

My daughter was thrilled to get these shoes. She wore her other pair of Hoka's completely out. Thank you for having size 5 in wide width because it's difficult to find.

I wore Gaviotta 4s and loved them, and I was initially dissatisfied with the changes in the 5 - it just didn’t seem to fit as well-felt too long and wide. Having a difficult time finding something I liked as well as my 4s, so almost on a whim I tried the 5 in a half size smaller than I usually wear in running shoes and WOW what a difference. Moral for me at least is not to assume the same size will always fit. Now I totally love my Gaviotta 5s - maybe even better than my old 4s!
