Morton's neuroma issue solved with wide footbed and super comfortable cushioned soles. At 67 years old and taking 3 to 4 mile walks most days, these are perfect. Fit seems a bit larger than other size 9 shoes and boots but fits orthotics well.

I first saw someone wear Hokas in the gym about 3 years ago, and we called them moon shoes. Well, 3 years later almost everyone I know in my profession (RN) is wearing them and swears by them. Fast forward to trying them on at a local race expo because my go-to running shoe changed their construction..and..I was hooked. (Hoka'd if you will) My knees, ankles, and hips all feel amazing after a run. I'm def a convert.

I have an illness that compromises my balance. These shoes are surprisingly helpful. Initially they were very uncomfortable but after a few days, they felt fine. These are not your grandmother's walking shoe yet I am a grandmother and really like them.

The fit and size were perfect. Unfortunately, this style has a negative or neutral heel which is not good for my Achilles tendonitis so I had to return them.

Neuroma and bunions = running shoe issues. Not with these! Toes are free and support is amazing.

These don’t feel as supportive as the Gaviota 4 shoes. The heel feels lower and not as cushioned. I stand all day at work and have always had good luck with Hokas, but not these.

Provides excellent stability. The negative for Hoka (this is my 6th pair) is no arch support. Otherwise, I love my Hokas!

Great comfort and stability for a running shoe. Unfortunately it ran a bit too long for a size 6. I will return to exchange for a 5.5.

I’ve bought lots of Hokas before, although usually Bondis. Ordered my normal size and width 9.5W. But these Gaviotas are way wider than my Bondi 8s. Will have to return.

I ordered a size up since I plan to run a half marathon in these and I tend to need it larger to prevent runners toe and the loss of toenails. With that said, they were gigantic! Too long AND way too wide. The base of the shoe is wider than I expected and I'm unsure if I'll be able to run with them without hitting my feet together. I will definitely alter and add to my review once I have the better size and have run a few times. I am very hopeful.

I use this product for walking and I was wearing the 4's prior to purchasing the 5's. I need a stable shoe and both versions are good for my flat feet. I love a lot of the updates made to the new 5's . The H design, upper and cushioning are improments that I appreciate. While I thought the 4 to be a little narrow in the toe , this version is too wide it feels more like I am wearing a wide shoe. I sized down 1/2 size and that helped a bit but the shoe is still very wide. I know it was to be more like the Bondi , however my Bondi do not fit like this. My hope is that next year some modifications will be made. This updated version has come a long way and it just needs a bit of refinement.

They're very comfortable but don't feel like they have a lot of support/structure. I would look for something with a firmer bed on the next round....

I was looking forward to having an option to my Bondi sneakers and wore them in Disneyland. By the end of the first day I had blisters on both feet between my toes and on the bottoms of my baby toes. I have never had this happen before. Once those resolved I tried another walk in them and the same thing happened. If I had not worn them I would exchange for Bondis.

I have been a Hoka girl since 2018. They were recommended by my brilliant physical therapist. I am on my feet sometimes 14 hours a day. I used to wear the Bondi's. I don't know why I developed horrible pain in my left foot due to multiple fractures. Since then the Bondi's have gone from my favorite shoe to the most uncomfortable shoe. I went to a store near me called Peter Glen. I told the salesman exactly what was wrong and he suggested the Graviota. To my surprise, they are super comfortable. Worn them 2 days in a row and my feet are no longer "barking". They are lighter and provide more stability. I don't even need my orthopedic inserts to make them more comfortable! I have used those inserts for YEARS. No more! This shoe is saving my life. I work in a hospital and medical office. I give these shoes 2 thumbs up! They are a G-d send. Never discontinue this model!

Super cushy and comfortable, moderate arch support for pronation. I've tried 3 different Hokas so far and these are my favorite blend of comfort and support. Ordering a second pair right now!

I have a new favorite shoe! These Hoka's fit well. The toe box is roomy, but not so roomy that my foot slides around inside. The shoe has a nice "gate" from heel to toe as in the shoe rolls easily through your step. The heel and back of ankle fit snuggly and does not allow your heel to slide up as you walk. I've found them to be an exceptionally comfortable and supportive shoe. A plus, my orthotics fit nicely in the shoe with out making the shoe too tight. They get 5 stars from me!

These are extremely comfortable & stable on my feet. I can wear them all day with no discomfort. I especially like the wide toe box...they give my feet ample room to stretch out. Highly recommend!

I wear these shoes everyday to walk in. This is my 2nd pair and I can't tell you how comfortable they are. They have a wide toe box so my feet don't feel squished. They are supportive for balance. I have poor balance.

I have very poor balance and am at high risk of falling. These shoes have provide me with stability like I have never had. I have 3 pair and wear them all the time. They have prevented many falls.

Come on guys, I LOVE my Gaviota's, but I also bought them because I soooo love crazy wonderful colorful shoes. What, some people complain that you don't have dull, boring colors and you cave into them and forget the customers that buy these because of the Crazy lovable colors??? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Stop with the ugly ugly white shoes and bring back the COLOR!!!!

I have been working with a physical therapist to relieve arthritic knee pain. If I wear these and do my thigh-strengthening exercises regularly, I don't have any knee pain at all, despite a bone-on-bone problem. After steroid injections had failed, and PT alone had failed, the addition of Gaviota 5's set me free from this expensive and life-altering surgery. The shoes are worth every penny they cost., and I love the freedom they give me. I don't run, but these are great walking shoes. I only wish they came in waterproof, because I live in Portland, Oregon, where it rains most of the year.

I bought Gaviotas years ago after being introduced to them in a shoe store. After ten years of walks and gym workouts, they are still usable except for the vinyl side vents that are peeling off. Gluing them did not work. Last year I started a new hotel job where I am on my feet, walking up and down stairs constantly. My 60+ year old knees make that difficult. So after a painful trial period of trying other brands, I ordered Gaviotas again and was very pleasantly surprised! I have weird feet that are narrow in the heel and wide across the toes. The Gaviota wide toe box is why I went with them in the first place. I was delighted to find that the new model has an even wider toe box than before. So no more bunions and cramping from squashed toes! Love the mesh fabric which lets air circulate around my feet (never cold even in winter). Love the Blue/Evening Sky, it matches my uniform and adds a pop of color -- not too boringly navy blue. I have tried all kinds/brands, and they are the ONLY shoes in 50+ years of working and playing that I can wear without killing my feet. I did add some arthritis innersoles that add to cushioning and stability and make the foot bed more shallow in the heel so the sides do not irritate my ankles. My only negative is that the bottoms were slippery on smooth, wet surfaces, but this has gradually decreased over time. I highly recommend them!
