Made my feet and knees hurt for a week after I wore them. I love HOKA but this one was a disappointment to me.

Color was great . Size was way off . Got my usual size 9 medium and felt a size larger . Also these were extremely wide ! Very wide through the toe box and wide through the heels ! So disappointed . Now I guess I'll have to wait a year for the Goviota 6 ..

I didn't keep the shoes. There was a flaw in the arch of the left shoe. Made me sad. I would like to have been able to keep them and wear them. I did not re-purchase a pair because I was afraid of having the same issue.

I love my Gaviota 4's so was looking forward to getting a new pair in a new color. These are not the same shoe. I do have narrow feet, but even so these were incredibly wide. As soon as I opened the box I wondered if I had accidentally ordered the men's version. Nope, they are just that wide. So I have returned them and am left to figure out what my new shoe will be because this isn't it. Please come out with a narrow version for people with normal sized feet!!

I have extremely flat feet. I've searched high & low for a comfortable shoe. As a teacher, I'm on my feet on concrete floors all day long. This shoe was recommended by my local shoe store, by friends, and by the internet. I knew I didn't like the Hokas I had tried on in-store, but thought I'd get some to try for longer & in my daily setting. I feel like I'm walking in moon shoes wearing these. They did nothing for my overpronation, and by the end of the day, my feet were sore and tingling. I tried to give them a fair chance, but my search continues.

I regretted that I bought these shoes since these didn't help my feet problems. I will return it

The shoe fit perfectly. The major problem I had was pain I experienced on the top of my foot. I bought them for stability, but I could barely walk in an hour. I have exchanged them for the Bondi XS. I need shoes I can walk in for hours each day. I have other Hoka shoes that I love and can wear immediately with no time for breaking in.

I have been wearing the Gaviota model of Hoka for at least three years and have loved it. I ordered the new model, Gaviota 5, in wide as always and it is nothing like the Model 4 or 3 or the one that preceded it. It is constructed entirely differently, it looks very wide, it does not give the same kind of support or cushioning. It is awful and I have returned one of the two pairs. I wore the other pair just to see if I could love it like my other Hoka Gaviota models but I couldn't. The love affair is over and I have to start again with a new model--or maybe a new brand.

I purchased the Gaviota 4 about 15 months ago and I am just an average walker, not runner. The bottom of the shoe is already coming apart, cworn down. The bottom of the 5 looks the same as the 4 but I hope it has been improved otherwise you will be disappointed. It says made from recycled products, maybe they shouldn't. I have purchased about 5 different pairs over the past few years and I have loved most of them, but not this pair.

I love Hoka!! That being said I love the yellow color but the shoe was big and hurt my feet within an hour. Not the shoes fault I just think I don't need the stability shoe. My go to is the Bondi 8 so I will stay with those. Just wish you guys would get a yellow color for the Bondi.

I really wanted to love these shoes. I expected a lot since they were so expensive. I have worn them 4 times and my feet hurt so bad when I wear them. Also I don't like the way the toe box looks so fat and round. I look like I have duck feet.

I have worn the gaviota since the first edition and the toebox in this version is entirely too why I'm so disappointed I can't even imagine what the white version is like. Extremely disappointed and bummed. I may have to try to go down to size just to see if it fits.

Please go back to the style of the Gaviota 4! The 5s are way too wide in the fore foot. It says this was done to improve cushion, but you cannot tell a difference in the cushion of the Gaviota 4. The Gaviota 5s are way too wide! Don't mess up a good thing, Hoka! PLEASE!!!

I waited for what seemed like forever for the new Gaviota to come out. The Gaviota has consistently been my favorite Hoka shoe and the 5 comes in some great colors. Problem is that they are way too wide for me now. I understand that some people need wide shoes but they come in wide... Now the regular width shoe is too wide for me to comfortably wear. It's so disappointing. I always liked the Gaviota best but I have to return these. Not sure which style will work for me now.

I've been meaning to write this review for a few months now I'm an avid walker and I expected the Gaviota's to last well over a year as my main exercise shoe. I purchased the a pair of the Gaviota 4's less than one year ago, and they quickly deteriorated within 6 months. Before purchasing the Gaviota's, I had a pair of Clifton 8's for several years before I needed to upgrade due to normal wear and tear I absolutely loved them. I also loved the Gaviota's, before the lining began to rip and the sole began to wear down. I'm very disappointed because I loved my last pair of Hokas SO much and clearly need to purchase a new pair of walking shoes, but I will not be buying another pair of Hokas again after my experience with the Gaviota's. (I don't see a spot to add photos as proof, but I would if I could!)

The new design's toe box is now way too wide. I ordered my usual size 11 Medium and the front part of my foot flops around in the shoe like a fish out of water. You also killed one of the best shark tooth-like side sole designs ever. I have truly tried every other model of Hoka and Gaviota was the only one that worked for me.
