The amount of pain my feet are in only compare to the most recent onclouds I purchased. The balls of my feet hurt constantly. These shoes have no padding on the inside sole. They are not comfortable at all. The toe box is big enough for all ten of my toes. For reference I am a very petite size 5. I do not recommend!
The coloring of the shoe is nice.

I wear an 8 1/2 and that size in this shoe was too large overall, almost like it was marked incorrectly!

That Gaviotas used to be my go to shoe. With this 5th version, they have done everything to cost reduce the shoe and increase their profit margin. I would rather pay more for the shoe and have the cushion and the support than pay the same amount and get a cheaply made version! Extremely disappointed.

This product was very disappointing. I was extremely excited to jog today but the quality is very underwhelming this product hurts my feet every step, I can usually do 10 miles but today I could only do one mile because the underwhelming lack of material and cushion they have. Very awful pair of running shoes.

I read all the reviews before deciding to but.
I will say that a couple reviews stated that the toe area was big.
Big is an understatement, I looked like I had clown shoes on.
I loved the color. I so wanted to love them.
But for the money, I don't think I would wear them.

I'm on my third pair of Hokas and the quality is quickly going down hill as the brand gains popularity. My first pair made me convert everyone I know to make these their running shoes but I can no longer wear any Hokas as my running sneaker. My shin splints and knees are SO painful now which my Hokas had always helped and the comfort helped me get back into running. I'm so disappointed but the brand is no longer for me.

The front is too wide so they look a little like clown shoes. I could tolerate the shape if they were comfortable for me. I have flat feet and bought my usual size. Putting them on for a little while was fine but by the end of the day my feet hurt???

Your shoes are like all other trendy brands. HUGE high profile heels with a rocker motion that makes feet unstable for hiking. Much like wearing boats. Bulky.

Unfortunately I have worn the Gaviotas forever and now the toe space is. Too big. Not bighuge. So dissatisfied and disappointed in this upgrade. All 3 pairs going back and will wait for next year.

I've consistently worn Brooks and wanted to see what all the hype was about with these shoes. I ordered a new pair of brooks and these shoes to compare how them. These were lighter, but way too wide and way too big. They lacked the support that Brooks has. I have plantar fasciitis and will be sticking with Brooks.

Glad I didn't buy wide because they are very big at the front. Feels like I'm falling backwards, like Im walking on my heels.Never wore those rocking, calf building shoes but I can imagine this is how they felt. I never pay this much for shoes and I'm just disappointed. Wore them to work one time.

I bought my usual size. My toe went over the end into the weird rubber toe space and the shoe sole was huge. I returned right away

I am not a runner. However, I do walk a lot and have inflammatory arthritic issues in my feet, hip, and lower back. I first found the Gaviota 3's and they were life changing. The J frame and plush design helped keep my feet stable and kept pressure off my angry feet in all the right places. I have been buying them for years. I was really excited to try the 5's. Unfortunately, I was instantly disappointed. The lighter shoe is nice, but not at the expense of stability and cushioning that I need. I'm not a fan of the H frame either. I gave them a fair shot for a few weeks and noticed that my heals were not fully supported either. Almost as if they were popping in and out of the shoe. The only nice thing about the redesign is the colors. I don't like anything else about the Gaviota 5's and they were returned. I'm now on a search for something with the stability and cushioning that I came to expect from Gaviotas.

I need the stability of this shoe, but they keep making them worse instead of improving them. I am going to have to find a new shoe brand. The Wide Gaviota 2 and Gaviota 3 were perfect, super comfortable. When they came out with the Wide Gaviota 4 they were tight and hurt my feet so I bought three pairs of Gaviota 3 hoping it would get me through until the Gaviota 5 came out. When they released the Gaviota 5 I was excited and ordered 2 pairs. Unfortunately they added this weird side bump out/wing to the outside edges of the shoes. It's ugly, but worst of all the shoe is wider and my foot slips off my orthotic inside the shoe, which it does not do in the last Gaviota 2 and Gaviota 3 shoes.
Disapointed,

Hi,
I wear Hoka Gaviota. I wear size 10.5 wide. The gaviota 4 are great for my plantar fascities. I ordered Gaviota 5 - these shoes hurt my feet. My heal hurts - they are not the same shoe! I order 2 hokas about ever 3 months. I tried wearing the 5 but it hurts my feet which is causing me to limp. No one has contacted me!

I was very disappointed in this shoe. It is nothing like the Gaviota 4. The toe area is very boxy and my foot slipped around the shoe. Plus the shoe does not feel as long-my toe was right to the edge of the shoe. I've been buying Gaviotas for years and loved the comfort and support but didn't find this in the Gaviota 5
