I do lots of local hiking with my dog, and used to wear hiking boots. I wanted to try trail shoes for something lighter on my feet. These Hokas were comfortable right out of the box. However, in only a few months there is a giant hole worn through in the heel and the area around the laces is fraying. My husband had Hoka trail shoes with the same issue. As much as I initially loved these, I would never buy another pair as they are essentially "disposable" after only a few months of wear.

This is my 2nd pair of Anacapa GTX. My original pair were great, lasted many miles & a wet trip thru Iceland. Thise Anacapa 2 not so much. A walk thru wet grass at the park & my socks are soaked,especially the toe box. They would never hold up to trail hiking in wet conditions. Very disappointed that I have to return.

I loved these shoes when I first bought them. They are black and waterproof which is hard to find in trail shoes. After a few wears it became evident they are not of high quality. The plastic base of the shoe has become exposed in the heel and also at the top of the shoe near the laces. When I reached out to Hoka they claimed this was not a fault of the shoe but due to the way I was wearing them.. trail and hiking shoes should be durable which I've personally tested and can say these are not. Don't waste your money and go for another trail and hiking shoe that has passed the test of durability and comfortability.

I wanted to love these shoes because I'm a big HOKA fan, and have used them for running training in the past. Unfortunately these shoes really hurt my feet on a relatively short hike. I tried to wear them in, but the seam where the shoelace eyelets are dug into the top of my foot causing broken skin. I have ordered a regular pair now, and hope they will have a better result.

I have several pairs of Hoka's, Bondies, Arahi, recovery sandals, Hopara2's, and Stinson, as well as my husband. We don't run so ours are everyday shoes and walking. After getting my Hopara2's for vacation, I thought this might be a great pair of shoes because of the traction on the bottom. I was incorrect! The shoes make my toes visually long looking because there is so much space between the laces and the front of the shoe. They feel like cheap plastic soles while you're wearing them, but not as far as the feel in your hands. Another thing I noticed was there was not much padding at the balls of my feet. Again, when walking, they didn't sound or look like a cheap pair of shoes, but they felt like that on my feet. Also the laces are kind of a strange stiff like material and they keep coming untied. I've never had issues with my shoes coming untied, but this pair is not so good. Let me go back and address my toes the shoe fit like a true size and width, but it was the look on my foot that made it look huge again, especially from the laces to the toes. I did not care for the color at all, It looks better online than in person. The color is a strange muted teal and not so appealing to my eyes. Hoka went from hero to zero on this pair and thank goodness for their 30 days!

I was going to return it but decided to give it a chance, ended up having a defect inside the shoes which causes a little hole in my foot.

These were advertised as all day comfort, there is no cushioning or support of any sort!! I'm a sales representative, I'm on my feet all day and my feet were killing me by the time I got home!! I wasted a lot of money that I could have spent on something else that I really needed!!!!!

Back to the drawing board! I wanted to like these so much. I usually wear Nike and New Balance. Thought I'd try something different. Bought these as a work shoe. I'm not on my feet much as a truck driver, but needed something rugged. Needless to say, these could be the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn. They just hurt really bad. Not a sizing issue at all. More of a construction and support problem. Tried other insoles, same thing. No problems with other brands. I hope they fix these for the next version.

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes only got one pair and a package of socks.

I have several Hoka shoes but this one was bad, the sole was worn out after a month of walking, after 2 months the whole shoe was disintegrating.

These shoes are not comfortable. I've been wearing hokas for years and have always been very happy with the fit, but these are very uncomfortable. My feet hurt after wearing them for a couple of hours.

I thought the first pair I bought was just a fluke that the soles fell apart but my second pair fell apart faster then the first pair. Ive only had my second pair about 3 months and both shoes on the out side have the soles ripping off.

Not happy with the soles inside ,shoes feel too uncomfortable wore them for 1 day and my feet huts for 2 days .will return the shoes tomorrow
