All of my shoes are Hokas. I have problematic feet and I love to walk. It's the one shoe I can wear and walk miles in. I have 4 pairs. Therefore I felt confident in buying the hiking boot online. Im not at all pleased with the fit. It does not feel good to hike in. It hurts my ankles and the soles of my feet. It also is not attractive. So this one was a disappointment.

This shoe has a cheaper and less supportive feel than my other Hoka styles. The material on top of the shoe is oddly rough and was the first pair I've owned to give me a blister. The tread and foot support were nothing to write home about. Disappointed in these so-called low cut hikers. I do love my other Hoka styles and will stick to what works.

The shoes are looking good and are very comfortable, but are poor quality. For this price, I'd expect them to last for at least a year or two, but after just 6 months of light use the fabric on the heels is completely gone and the plastic from underneath is hurting my heels. It's impossible to wear them at this moment. I'm extremely disappointed. I had shoes for a third of this price serving me for much longer.

Not sure why they market these as a waterproof shoe, the first puddle I put a toe in resulted in wet feet. They are comfortable enough, the insoles were all wonky and unevenly inserted when they arrived, but once I fixed that I was fine. But definitely do not buy these if you need them to keep you dry.

I have a pair of hoka tennis shoes which I totally love,5 stars. But I was disappointed in the hiking shoe as it was advertised as waterproof and it was anything but . I was out in wet conditions and my socks were wet with in a couple hrs.

I bought the shoes at Skinny Raven in Anchorage a few months ago for hiking in the spring. They took some breaking in causing blisters. Soon the fabric at the back of the heel broke, and the hole feels very uncomfortable. I am disappointed at the low quality.

Bought a pair of these less than a year ago from Eastern Mountain Sports and have worn them frequently enough that I think I'm capable of writing an honest review. Initially purchased because I'd heard how comfortable HOKAs are and wanted a new hiking shoe, but I've found the footbed to be stiff, cheap feeling and painful if worn too long. If walking or hiking in the rain, the design of the heel kicks water up and soaks the bottom of whatever pants I'm wearing. Additionally, they've developed an annoying clown-like squeak that won't go away. I'm super disappointed as I was initially excited about them, but I now regret wasting the $180 and not returning them off the bat.

I have multiple pairs of Hoka Arahi 6. Best walking shoe I have ever purchased - LOVE them. I am looking for hiking shoes so of course I ordered the Hoka Anacapa 2 Low GTX. After wearing them inside my house on two occasions my knees began to ache. Compared to the Arahi the Anacapa 2 has no arch support and therefore brought on knee pain. Switched back to my Arahi 6 and pain disappeared quickly. Really disappointed as I was sure Hoka hiking shoes would work for me.

I was looking for waterproof shoes to wear while on vacation. I plan to do a lot of walking. I have a pair of Hoka's that are super soft and light weight. They minimize the impact from walking down stais. HOWEVER, these Hoka's are horrific. You may as well be walking barefoot on concrete. They are uncomfortable and hard on the inside. I order the B width, but these also look quite chunky and not flattering at all. I was so excited until I put them on. They are definitely being returned. Not at all what I expected. Would not recommend for anyone.

I have 3 pairs of Hoka shoes and 1 pair of Hoka boots. The anacapa 2 mid gtx is inferior to the previous Hokas I've purchased. It was made bizarrely and extremely small. I had to return them and will not be buying any more Hokas.

This shoe had such a lack of support it is laughable. A huge gaping hole where my arch is and I've not experienced that with many shoes.

The shoes feel sturdy and quite comfortable when I put it on. However just after one week of wear during my trip to Tokyo, not even in any rain or snow or on any echnical trails, the fabric of the side of the shoes just broke and therefore the waterproof GTX function just became useless. I can't believe this happened as this is not a cheap pair. I really wanted to love this hiking shoe but I am just extremely sad my money got all wasted. I will still wear this shoe but just not for hiking so it's really a big waste of money. I don't know if I can trust Hoka quality anymore after this purchase.

Firstly, I should say I love and have several pairs of Hoka's! However, I am very, very disappointed with the waterproof Anacapa 2 Low GTX. I had truly hoped that I found the perfect shoe for our wet days this season. Sadly, these shoes are extremely uncomfortable. At the end of the day after trying the shoes out in the house, my feet hurt!! Not going to work for me! :-(

I bought these in July after reading several recommendations and they were all wrong. This shoe was extremely uncomfortable for walking around town much less hiking, I ended up going into a shoe store and buying shoes. The toe box is hard and uncomfortable, not what I expected from Hoka's. One plus is Hoka was great about returns.

I have at least 35 pairs of Hokas and they all fit perfectly (except the Gender neutral sizes made for a man's foot). The toe box on this shoe is tight and presses down on my toes and were painful to wear. Would have kept them if the toe box fit like my other Hokas.

The first time I purchased this shoe was in 2021 for a rim-to-rim hike in the Grand Canyon. It was like clouds under my feet. I recommended this shoe to everyone! After 4 years and a countless number of 10 to 20-mile hikes in California, I finally had to buy a new pair. And of course, I wanted to buy my trusty Anacapas again. However, I refuse to put these on my feet again. After only 4 uses, I realized the support just isn't there anymore. By mile10-12, I can feel every rock under my foot and the cushioning is completely flat. I have NEVER felt this level of foot fatigue in the older model. It is sooooo disappointing to see a dependable shoe decline in quality. If you are a long-distance hiker that is accustomed to rough terrain, please look elsewhere.

My original Anacapa GTX were amazing right out of the box. I don't remember having any pain or issues with them at all. Because the reviews on the Anacapa 2 GTX were so mixed I waited until my original Anacapa GTX were too worn out to wear before buying this iteration. Huge disappointment. The toe box is narrower than the original, the heel cap left a dent and blister on my foot. It is super stiff and bulges out from the shoe itself. I tried them for 3 days and they just got worse. Returning today. I wish Hoka would stop changing a good shoe.they did the same thing with the Bondi and now the Anacapa GTX.

I'm disappointed that the foot bed is narrow and the shoe itself runs smaller to the point that my foot feels cramped. I love my original Anacapas and I wish I had bought more if I knew this was going to happen. I guess I will try the Kahas

I wish I read the reviews. I usuall have good luck with Hoka shoes. I ordered on line because it was the only way to get solid black. Very dissappointed in the fit of these hiking boots. I usually have no issues with Hoka but these were so different from right boot to left. The right boot didnt feel right and after a short hike i had a huge blister on the top of my big toe. I love the look of the boot so I am exchanging for the size 9. If I didnt have to pay to ship the return I wouldnt have even tried. Id rather have my money back. If the 9 fits the same I will have to be forced to return. Very dissapointed Hoka!!

I bought these hiking shoes in May 2024 thinking they would be similar to the Anacapa Mid GTX Hiking Boots suitable for winter wear. I just starting wearing them and they are extremely uncomfortable. Very heavy and hurt when I walk. I have tried to wear them numerous times but I finally determined they just will not break in like the boots. I bought the 9.5B same size as my boots but they definitely do not fit the same. They are nothing like the hiking boots. I am sorry I spent a lot of money for something I cannot wear.

I ordered 8.5 WIDE, received 8.5B, which is regular. I couldn't even fit in them! They felt more like narrow then regular. Very stiff, too. Does not look like a quality product, either. I don't understand all the hypo about this brand. Very disappointed!.
