I'm 55 and bought a pair of Stinson for hiking in Colorado. I have had to knee surgeries and no longer have cartilage in my knees.. My knees are thanking me for using them. They worked well crossing a scree field and for a 5 mile hike. However, durability is an issue. I only use them three weeks and the rad is coming off. Not what I was expect for the price of these. However, I am willing to give them a second chance due to the comfort instability gave me .

I hike from Mexico to Canada every year and am on my 31st pair of stinsons. I like the new version; the softer more flexible upper, the more aggressive tread, etc. The problem: it's not shaped like anybody's foot. I modify mine with a combination of cutting and heat molding just so they won't be excruciating due to my metatarsals and toes dying to spread out. It's not ideal, but no foot shaped shoe has the features I need for ling distance hiking. For The Love Of God!! Please make this shoe shaped like a foot!!!!

Initially felt super-comfy straight out of the box as with most Hokas (I use four diff models of Hoka boots for hiking, and several other models for speed hiking/trail running). Immediately took it out on a trail 10K. Pros: Broadly similar to the prior version - the Stinson ATR - but with a hugely improved sole, much more grippy and will be much more durable. The stack height is even higher than before, but I am happy to get all the bounce I can, and I sensed no loss of stability. Cons: I went back-and-forth with how it fit around the forefoot and ultimately decided it was too tight. Not just in width but also the interior height is limited, so toes just felt too snug and got hot as a result. I wear a wide in Bondis, and that's clearly what I need in these Stinsons (wide not currently available). Based on my experience with other Hoka models, this problem would not be solved by simply sizing up. These Stinsons are also heavy. In my size 11.5 the weight per shoe was 390g. This does not compare favorably with the hugely impressive TNF Vectiv Pro, which weights 313g in the same size (20% lighter), but gives me the width I need with as much or even more bounce. These Stinsons are nice, an improvement on the prior version, and will definitely work for folk with somewhat lower volume feet, but mine ultimately went back.

My husband has owned so many pairs of Stinson 7 and they always fit great, but they are running very narrow in the toe box, so I have returned three pairs that I ordered from different stores.
I got tired of ordering them just to have to return them because of how narrow they are making this sneaker. He doesn't have a wide foot at all they are just lacking the quality that they started with they are making them narrower and cheaper not the same standards for quality that this company use to have when they first went in business.

The build quality of these was worst of any hoka (& I have had former stinsons, speedgoats, etc). The seams of the upper to the foam base started splitting right away. The rubber on the bottom also seems cheap and burns down quickly. PLEASE hoka put a nice legit vibram sole on these, like the speedgoats, not the cheap rubber used on these. (they are very stable on the positive side). Please also make the new version with white and black like the new speedgoats.

I love the way this shoe feels for walking and jogging. Yet, this particular style wore out along the sole edge of the fabric within a month and I wasn't wearing them much.

This shoe is stable and I like the plushness but it quickly deteriorates with normal wear. There also needs to be wide sizes available with more of these shoes.
I've been buying these for a while but am considering looking at some other brands recommended by health care workers and hikers

One of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn but within 8 weeks my toes were through the top of the shoes. Hopefully you can redesign that a little bit. I have many pair of Hoka shoes these were one of my favorites because there were Stable and my ankle didn't twist.
Please reinforce the top of the shoe by the toes.
Throw them in the trash already

I bought 2 pairs of these and returned both of them. They worked fine but after the first 40 miles the rubberized front end delaminated in the first pair, and the same thing happened after only the first 10 on the second pair. I know that the saying goes once is unlucky, twice is a coincidence, thrice is a pattern but this sure feels like a pattern to me.

I have a Stinson 7 in the orange color, 12 1/2.. Love them. These are 121/2 but not the same; too big, kind of a sloppy fit. I've had them about 3 weeks and wish I could return them.

I've probably bought several pairs of Bondi and Stinson,,up until the last pair which they were great about refunding, the material is peeling apart at the soles. I just purchased 2 pair a few weeks ago. Within a day they also started peeling apart. This was particularly the Stinson. They are awesome shoes. Very great on my knees that have been replaced twice, each. Once I tried Hokas I was hooked. But lately they just don't hold up. I don't mind paying the price or the comfort. But if they don't hold up, I have to try something else. I didn't ask for a refund this time because I needed them for work. So I've glued them where the failure was. Again, great shoes as far as the relief I get, but the quality seems to be lacking.

I wear these everyday for stability. The inside of the shoe is great. However, I've had them a little over a month and they are already cracking around the edges and detaching from the shoe. These shoes clearly will not last long, and for the price, I feel like they should hold up a bit longer. I am very disappointed, as my last Hokas did not do this.

I have only worn Hoka for the last 8 years. This pair I have only worn 3 times and it is starting to come apart where rubber meets the fabric on the side. As much as they cost would think that there wouldnt be this issue.

So bummed that Hoka changed the footbed construction of the Stinson ATR 6. I still have the ATR 6 pair and was hoping for the same cushy feel, Instead these newer version of the Stinson feel rock hard on my feet (and I need the cushion for foot issues). In addition they fit uncomfortably on the ankle. Hopefully Hoka will bring back the older version at some point.

I love HOKA. I order 6 pair per year. HOKA powered hikes last year totaling almost 300,000' in elevation gain. I also shoot videos for our Instagram and TikTok pages with over 1MM followers @CalmParentingPodcast powered by my HOKAs. I am doing wintry hiking in the Alps now with my HOKAs, but the two pair I ordered didn't ship on time to make the trip. Very disappointed.

I love the look of the shoe. However, the shoe was not offered in a EE size. Once it arrived it was way too narrow for my feet. I had not option but to return it.

My 2 month old Stinson are already frayed around the top edge. Tried to add photo but guess not allowed. Also don't do well in the desert, cactus thorns go right through the sole into your foot!

Purchased Stinson 7 from Hoka retail store on December 7, 2024. Within three weeks of wear, the seam between the toe box and shoe sole began to crack with eventual seam opening. After sending purchase date documentation and shoes back to Hoka (1 year manufacturing warranty), I received a warranty denial stating they could not accept return as "the brand warranty period on this product has expired."
This is unfortunate. My first pair of Hoka shoes had a manufacturing defect, and Deckers Brands would not stand by their warranty clause....even with proof of purchase provided.
I really wanted to like Hoka shoes. But how can I trust their quality and warranty performance after this experience?

I ordered the mens size D since the womens did not have extra wide. The shape of this shoe does not fit my foot at all. The shape would have reactivated a bunion problem. It also did not have the round toe as advertised in the specifications. I returned the item

First, I am 6'4" and 180 lbs. I wear a size 13, wide shoe. I ordered the same size and width I typically wear in my main zero drop running shoe (Altra). However this shoe immediately felt too tight on my right foot. The issue is the toe box is tight compared to the Altra toe box. This caused pressures on my big toe and second toe next to it. I have gone ahead and continued to wear them on shorter walks or runs. Two weeks in (5 run-walks for about 17 miles) and I have a toe nail that is dying and will fall off at some point. I ordered these after reading through several reviews and feedback. However , I don't think your shoes are made for my feet and I'll be going back to what doesn't cause injuries and is reliable.

I started with Clifton 9 shoes last year and decided to buy another pair for work. I researched and looked at reviews to settle on the Stinson 7's. I wore them for one day at a new job and my heels and feet really hurt. It's almost like you've been wearing an old pair of shoes with no soul (insole but pun intended) all day. I tried them for a few more days and ended up going back to my Cliftons. I've since started to exchange the Stinson's for Clifton's now. The Stinson's are good quality but the insole is just like walking on concrete. Not good for my feet. 2 stars for quality, style and the brand but these shoes are probably best as "display only" shoes.

I tried these on in the store and they felt really good, so I purchased a pair, the first day of wearing them my feet hurt so bad I couldn't wear them again so I sent them back.

I bought the Stinson 7 to replace the old Stinson 6. The 7 didn't seem to be cushioned as well so I switched back to the old 6's and they are better. When I first bought the Stinson a decade ago it was the cushion that hooked me. I don't need the off road tread and would be happy to try a different shoe but if Stinson is plush then I am not optimistic.
