I absolutely love these shoes based on comfort and performance. I have had recurring knee pain over the years and these shoes really helped with that. I work out about an hour or so per day and I wore these throughout the summer. After about 2+ months, the interior of the shoe in the heel area started to disintegrate where the back of my foot rubs against the shoe. I've had multiple pairs of Hoka running shoes and have never had this issue. It's disappointing to have these shoes wear out on the inside when the outer, including the tread, still has a ton of life left. Perhaps I got a defective pair.

The Stinson 7 has good stability, great cushion, and a nice wide toe box. But after wearing them only five times in two weeks, the heel of the right shoe is all ready squeaking with each step.

I bought the Sinson 7 to replace my beloved Stinson 6s. My initial impression is that the 7 is not as plush as the 6 and thus, is not as comfortable. The major irritant with the 7 is that the tongue does not seem as long as the 6. When I put the shoes on, even if I pull the tongue up hard, it seems about a 1/2 inch to an inch too short. I worked around that by not using the top locing holes, but that may not work for long distance. As to the question if I would recommend to a friend, my jury is out. I guess I would, but with reservations.

First let me say, I loved the shoe. Unfortunatly the fit was wrong for me as they don't come in a Wide size and they put too much pressure on the sides of my feet. I had to return the shoes and replace them with the Speedgoat 6.

The only problem was the toe box rubbed against to of foot.Open mesh no padding on top. Fit well true to size but the toe rub was more than I could handle

First the shoes are super comfortable, no issues there. But they have changed something about the way the construct the heel. It wears out really easily, I bought two pairs of Stinsons, one heel has worn out. The second pair is starting my wife has some Arahi 7 and the same thing within 6 months, bought them on sale so no warranty repair, but if this is the new norm and considered normal wear and tear, I'm going to have to find a different brand to spend ridiculous amounts of money on.

I would've worn my Stinson 6s to the grave if I could've. But, all thing must end so I bought the next model, beliving it to be an upgrade. Well, it wasn't. Not only was the fit off from the get go, they began falling apart after four months of VERY passive use, as I was unemployed during the bulk of that time. My 6s lasted well over a year of fully employed, full time nursing. This is a shonda.

This was my 3rd pair of Stinson 7's and I have several pairs of the Stinson 6's. Hoka has shortened the shoelaces and now they are too short to tie properly (I like to wear my shoes looser for a wide fit). Disappointed that I need to buy new shoelaces after paying full price for these shoes.

These were not as comfortable for me as a daily wear shoe as the Challenger 7. Around 10 months in the material was starting to seperate from the soles. Eleven months in the front 1/3 of the shoe on both were separated. Submitting for warranty. In the winter months I wear Danner hiking so these were not in the winter elements. Disappoint but love the green color.

I switched to this shoe after not being happy with Speedgoat 5 upgrades. This is a pretty good shoe. My only complaint is that within 3-4 months, after daily use at work and gym, these shoes start to produce a sharp shooting pain that forces me to buy new ones. so they last about 3-4 months if you wear them constantly, and work out in the gym 1.5 hours a day 6 days a week. Which is pretty good. The toe cap needs to have a sturdy material. It is not covered by a plastic so the constant use of the force of your big toe coming up, even when your nail is sharp, will produce a hole. The other thing is that the sides of the shoe at the very top that touch your pants, will rub off in 2 weeks and bust open. I unlace my shoes and take them off properly, i don't use one shoe/foot to take off the other. It is a little surprising how fast they look like used shoes (2 weeks). I have raised this concern with HOKA. even returned some within the allotted period. I started to look beyond these shoes now, after speedgoat 5, and am looking Elevon X which has been a better shoe. at the gym: I lift, use stairmaster, and i do no running.

The quality of these shoes used to be much higher than it is now. This is my 4th pair of Stinson 7, and I love the fit, but my last 2 pairs, have come unglued where the fabric meets the rubber of the shoes. I exchanged the last ones for my current ones because of this problem and my current ones have the same problem. I decided to keep them anyway because I love the fit and these shoes are the only ones which don't hurt my feet and feel comfortable, but for the price they cost, they should not be ripping up during the first week of use. I'll keep buying and eating them, but wish they would be better quality.

I got these shoes for trail running and have been using them once a week for past 3 months . I run in mountains and dirt paths . This past week I just realized that the glue binding the top to the mid started to tear and leave a hole .

I purchased a pair of Hoka Stinson trail running shoes about nine months ago during a trip to replace my Saucony shoes once they wore out. I only started using the Hokas about a month ago, fresh out of the box, and I typically run around 4 miles a day on rough terrain. While the comfort level is excellentI don't feel fatigued at all in themthe durability has been disappointing. Just a few weeks in, I noticed the fabric beginning to peel, which raises concerns about how much longer they'll hold up, especially as I increase my mileage. Considering they were brand new and hadn't even been worn for the first eight months, I expected more. Sadly, I'm not confident they'll last even three months with consistent use, and I'm unsure if I'd buy another pair given this experience.

I own 7 different types of Hoka's . Bondi 8 are more comfortable. Mach 6 are the best. Lightest and most comfortable shoe I've ever put on my feet.

Stinson 7 is supposed to be the most "plush" show with a trail tread. Not so "plush". No where near the cushion of my Bondi 8! I had to return. and opted for a Brooks Caldera which is bliss and has an aggressive tread. I still love Hoka One One!

Been trail running in the Hoka brand for years. Live in AZ and the trails are harsh. I am finding the tread on the Stinson 7 to be very poor. Within a month or less they are already noticeably bad. I've had to purchase 3 pair in this model which is great for Hola but really poor for my budget. Current pair is only 3 months old and need a new pair. The front foot area at the bend is to the point where I can feel the rocks. I am slipping on even the slightest incline. Please upgrade the tread or it's time to find another brand.

I have several pairs of Hoka. This is the first pair with size issue. The left shoe is snug laterally around my 3-5th toes.

My rating might change depending on how these Stinson 7's eventually evolve. I have been a runner for 50 years (64th bday in April) with somewhere in the 55K-60K for lifetime mileage. I have never had any issues with Hokas since I began running in them many years ago. I actually began wearing Hokas before they even hit the states. I have loved the Stinson ATRs. I still have a pair that I am training in now, but I want to save them a bit for a 6 hour trail race at the end of March. Usually, I can take a pair of Hokas (mainly Stinson models and Bondis) right out of the box and begin running in them, but I ran 6.5 miles this morning in the Stinson 7, and my left shoe rubbed a blister onto the top of my little toe on the outside portion of it. I have never had that happen with any Hoka moles so this is concerning since this is a brand new pair of shoes, and I also have another pair of Stinson 7's still in the box unused. I am glad that I was not on a longer out and back run where things may have forced me to walk back. I like keeping a couple of pairs of shoes warehoused just so I can seamlessly move from an older pair into a new pair. So, I am possibly stuck with two new pairs of Stinson 7s that I may not be able to even run in and then possibly be forced to look to another brand for a similarly cushioned model. I am looking at On Cloudmonsters, but I am hoping that this is some sort of one time thing. I felt inside of the shoe to see what was going on, and it feels like the stabilizer strip right at the widest part of my foot is what caused the blistering. This is a new feature compared to the Stinson ATRs so it is probably the culprit. Longwinded explanation but necessary to paint a complete picture of my experience for a first run in the Stinson 7s. Here's hoping for good news going forward.

Women's color selections suck. Can hoka offer smallerq men's sizes to accommodate women who like the more earthy and masculine tones or offer them in both men's and women's please!!!!!!!! Stinson in castlerock and Cabernet to be exact needs to be offered for women too!!!! For real! Us serious hikers and trail runners don't want pink and coral and baby blue, we like camo and black blends (hides dirt) with some color pop like the men get!!!!!! Please!!!!!

Only two weeks on the trail so I'll withhold final judgement. But so far: 1) the tongue is now only attached to one side of the shoe, harder to keep centered ( this is an improvement?) 2) toe box seems less protected externally, probably will wear quicker on rocky trails 3) no reflective safety paint, (last seen on the ATR 4 I believe) SAVE A LIFE Hoka, put the reflective paint back on the shoes - people travel on streets to get to trails

I use all of my hokas for work. I love the feel of the Stinsons the best so far but 1 important problem a little too small. These do not fit true to size. The next pair I buy will have to be a 1/2 size up. Bummer because these are so expensive.
