I bought these shoes because I needed a new pair of Gaviota (very flat and wide feet). These shoes didn't hold up as well as Gaviota 4, and in fact made my feet start to hurt more because my feet tend to roll onto outside and this shoe broke down in middle of shoe where this happens.Im on my feet all day at work, and need something that holds up well. Bring back your older versions please!! I think the quality has gone down since this version 5 came out.

The shoe looked great, but the fabric seemed a little thinner than the previous Hoka Bondi 6 I have. The shoe did hurt my feet at the arch level. I had to return them

They seem to just be a high priced average pair of shoes to me so far.

Like the shoes overall in terms of fit and stability. But the quality just isn't there. Already stress cracking at the flex points and the soles are tearing after about 75 miles. Wouldn't but this model again.

I purchased the barley and oat milk color appears like a brown and beige color in the photos but the shoes I received are a light green color.

I just got a pair of your Kaha 2 GTX and they are okay, they are not as good as the older models that I absolutely loved. I have speed goat's and a few other shoes all Hoka's and for some reason or another you make new models that are NOT the same quality as previous models. Your company has taken off and I think your losing what you stood by with the awesome qualities and comfort they all used to have. These new models are really not what you used to sell and quality sucks. Guess your getting really greedy making you rich while you're products are going down to tube. Please don't continue to do everything to make a buck and bring back the quality you used to have. I'm really upset about what you're company is doing with the quality going to the toilet. It's sad and hopefully you listen to all of the customers and make sure the quality goes back up like you used to have. Four of my old models are being worn out and I don't like your newest shoes and boots. The quality isn't there, Thanks,The Scepter Guy

The Gaviota 4 fit very well but the Gaviota 5 were too wide. They are stable but a wide shoe. I suggest a smaller size to offset the width

They are a fine shoe, but I don't think they live up to all the hype about them. They are certainly not worth $175.

I can't stand the new wider toe box. The shoe looks like those worn by bozo the clown. I feel a tendency to role foot more. Bring back the 4 design.

As mentioned by others already, the toe box fit on this shoe is extremely wide, even in the standard D-fit. As a result the fit felt loose and less supported. If you normally wear a wide fit, I suggest you start with the D width for best fit. If you have an exceptionally wide fit this is the shoe for you.

I absolutely love these sneakers, I suffer from a degenerating back and my knee pain, I finally saved up enough to splurge on myself for my intense pain and within 3 months my sneakers on the outside side soles started peeling and I would trip because of the rubber folding in. The inside of the shoes where you heel touches has a hole and I can see the plastic that is used to make the shape of the shoes. They relieved my back and knee pain and I work 40+ hours on my feet. I could not afford a second pair to send my pair off for a warranty check, the one year is about to expire so I sent them in, which resulted in me wearing my old sneakers that do not help with the pain. I truly hope my order gets the warranty approved. Amazing comfort but broke down so fast and so much. I absolutely loved these sneakers, if I could, I would get them in very color.

I do not have narrow feet but I was sliding around in these. Being a first time customer, I was not familiar with sizing and fit nuances. I exchanged for Clifton 9's. Very helpful online chat with customer service. The fit for me is a lot better. I wish I got a half size bigger. Seem to run smaller than Skechers and Nike.

I use these shoes as my everyday/work shoes in the hotel service industry. My podiatrist recommended for the combined comfort and support from this show, and my initial impressions were fantastic. I was looking forward to getting a second pair to alternate between the two. However, my first pair had the heel cushion bunch up towards the top, making the shoe not feel secure while wearing. This happened within a week. I exchanged them, hoping it was a fluke. This second pair has now developed the issue after a month. Here's hoping the third time is the charm...

I have been wearing Hokas for many years now. As a daily runner, Hokas have always been my go to for the cushion, support, and comfort. However, the last two pairs that I have received have had some issues with the feel on the interior of my feet. It feels as if the fit has changed slightly as to cause pain on the interior arch of my foot. Hopefully this gets sorted out at some point. Given these issues, I haven't been able to find a better shoe for my needs.

When slipping them on, the cushioning on one of the heels got squashed and won't return to its original shape and position. Disappointing for such an expensive shoe, unlike the G4.

I really wanted to love this pair of Hioka's as I own a different color and they fit great. But after two tries in different sizes they had to be returned. This blue is just not as comfortable and appears manufacturing processes are not consistent. My custom orthotic doesn't fit well with the stability guiderails. They felt tighter across the top compared to my other pair. I would still recommend this brand and style as the wider platform is a plus compared to the Graviota 4. They just didn't work for me.

This is a mixed review. I own 2 pairs of this new design. The oatmeal color fits perfectly. I was thrilled to see the wider base as it works very well with my various feet problems. They are very comfortable and fit well overall. I was so pleased I ordered the blue steel/stone blue in the same size and width. Unfortunately it fits much tighter and shorter in length and will need to be returned. Hopefully another pair will work better. Consistency seems to be a problem in the manufacturing process.

The Gaviota 5 in wide is an excellent fit. The H frame technology is good, better than rhe J frame. The plush cushioning was good at first. Then as the show broke in, for me, it felt waaaaaay to soft. If the next Gaviota line up gets a responsive cushioning like the Arahi 5 used, I'd be thr first one in line to buy it. Keep the wide width the same.
