I absolutely love Hoka and have never had any problems with sizing until this pair. I bought for my husband for Father's Day and also bought another pair the other pair fit him great. I'm unsure why the sizing isn't the same.

These are comfortable and have helped me a lot with my plantar fasciitis, but they have a very long tongue and are painful above the instep.

I was disappointed in the quality of this shoe. It feels tike my other pair purchased earlier this year feel more durable and plusher. I have returned these for a different color.

Had a pair delivered to me April 30 2025 and they have holes as of May 30 2025 where the toes go while walking btw I do clip my toenails everyday so it's not that my old pair of hoka shoes did the same. I do a lot of walking at work.

I run 5 miles 4 days a week I wanted a show that provides support but is also well cushioned and springy. Missing the cushion and spring. Also high around the ankle is painful.

It was a nice looking shoe, and the sole was very comfy, but the shoe was too wide. I don't have a wide foot, so 8 ordered a regular, but the product o received was too wide even as a regular fit.

I purchased these shoes at the recommendation of my local sporting goods worker after trying them on. They are incredibly plush and comfortable. However, after wearing these shoes twice for a combined hour, my outer foot and up my calf were in so much pain that lasted days after taking off the shoes. I wasn't sure if this was because it was correcting the way my feet roll inward or what but I couldn't continue to wear them. The toe box is very wide and at first this was great but after wearing them for a day I soon realized that even the sides by my arches and outer foot were very loose, causing my foot to move around, and no amount of tightening the string helped.

I loved my first pair of Gaviotas (3) because they had more stability and support than the Bondi for me. I also liked the upgrade design features of the (4) but didn't love how quickly the inners on the heel wore out from regular use. The soles and uppers were still in great condition but just not that part :( wore them until the inner plastic liner made it impossible through the holes. The Gaviota 5 however, was missing the sturdiness and extra support I sought out of this design over the Bondi. The heel was much lower and although the shoe was lighter, it just wasn't as great as a model for my ankles or foot. I scrounged the internet trying to buy the model 4 after the 5s also had the wear on the heel issue with little use. I swear by my Hokas but this version of the gaviota had me back to the Bondi for the stability I was looking for.

I purchased these after a couple of close friends swore by the brand, as I typically opt for different brands. I use these for street/trail running and intermittent walking during those runs. I'm not a fan of this shoe. Though bulky looking, they are lightweight, so that is a plus. I have over pronation and after some research these were amongst ones recommended. The downside for me is the pain the comes afterwards in my knees and in my shins. The inserts rub my foot sore. The overall support of the shoes don't seem to do much for my over pronation as I often find myself trying to balance the support from leaning in too much. I've ran over 10 miles in these shoes for ideal breaking in time however, I'll give it a couple more miles to see if the shoe requires more of a break in time, but I may be retiring these much sooner than I'd hoped for running.

I wanted to like these, but unfortunately, the arch was in the wrong place for my foot-- it was about an inch further back, towards the heel, than my actual arch was. I could tell that there would be a lump in the wrong place in the footbed forever.

This new version of Gaviotas is not as cushioned as the previous one. Even though they seem to be a bit lighter, they feel stiffer, and are wider that the predecessors. Not crazy about them.

I use Hoka for walking, I've only had them for 2 weeks and I thought the cushion would be plusher. I prefer Clifton, it's a better fit. I would have purchased the Clifton but my size was not available in any color. The new Clifton 10 is now available and will probably purchase it soon. Wish there were more black combos available. Only blk/wht and blk/blk

I'm a BIG Hoka fan. However, I would not buy these again. I got my regular shoe size and they are too small. My toes are squished in the top of the shoe, pressing down on my toenails, and it makes wearing the shoes very uncomfortable. I have not had this issue with any of my other Hokas. Also, the back of the shoe at the heel is low, so my heel slips out while walking and running.

I really wanted to love these, especially at this price, but they make my feet hurt due to being too soft so my feet and toes flex too much when walking. The toe box is also too wide so my feet slide, but the heel and center foot is good on this wide shoe. It's hard finding that balance between cushion and support, and these just aren't it for me. : (

I need a lot of cushioning in my shoes due to knee arthritis. This had very little, which is fine if you don't need it.

I am wearing it in the house and trying to get used to its feel. It is different than the arahi and I feel a little unsteady. Very comfortable and cushiony. I am hoping this will be great for walking.

I have been wearing Arahis forever to run in and wanted to try the other stability shoe. I wanted to love these. I do not. They are stable, I will say that. But they are also very cumbersome, wide, heavy, it's like running on skis. Going back to my old standbys. Will never purchase these again. Maybe a good walking or everyday shoe, but not for me for running.

It's like they had a bunch of colors that no one wanted and needed to get rid of them, so they used them all in this line. Jacking up the price to an ungodly ridiculous amount for a shoe that is not as comfortable as the previous version just heaps on the insult. Avoid this shoe if you can-- I've worn Hoka for the past decade and the quality and comfort is definitely reduced in this shoe, plus the toe box is strange.

Shoe length fit was fine. Maybe I have a tall foot, but this shoe immediately created a hotspot of pain on the top of my foot. Tried loosening the laces, no help. The structure of the shoe where the laces begin was too narrow for my foot. Was really looking forward to this shoe....seems very nice but didn't work for me.

My first pair of Hokas. They are nice shoes but not worth the money. Average fit and comfort. Too expensive for me.

I've had 3 pairs of these Hokas. All were very comfortable. But all 3 pairs have a squeak to them after about 6 to 8 weeks. I thought it was a fluke on the 1st pair, but nope 2nd and 3rd did it too. Great light and comfortable shoes, but I can't deal with the squeak!
