Great sneakers very comfortable but ridiculously over-priced. Not zappos fault I know. Over all very comfortable and great support.

I was surprised to learn that a man's regular width is the same as a woman's wide width. Since there are limited styles in women's wide width that I liked, our sales associate recommended that I go a size down in Men's shoes and try them on. I am an 8.5 wide and was thrilled to find out that I am a 7.5 regular in men. I loved the colorways and styles of the men, and I bought the teal Gaviota 5 with orange and white soles. I have walked all over and am taken to Paris in two weeks. I don't get my bunion compressed. So happy

First off if you have the Gaviota 4, I do, this is a completely different shoe, nothing in common with the 4 other than being a "stability" shoe. I think Hoka might have been better served by naming it something else. However if, like me, you find the Bondis and even Cliftons, which I both have, to be a little too much cushion unless you're really pounding the pavement in short runs or brisk walks, this is a great alternative. The Bondis are high and squishy enough in the sole to leave me a little wobbly. The Gaviota 5 have almost as much cushioning but provide a more stable and balanced feel. I don't really need the amount of cushioning they provide, my favorite Hokas of all are the Arahis; but I have discovered in areas such as grocery stores and Costcos, where you are essentially walking on concrete, the 5 is superb for keeping your feet and legs extremely comfortable. For those who work or spend all day in such areas these would be a fantastic shoe. And, like Altras, these now have a widened forefoot/toe area that those with medium to wide feet will love. They are wider overall than the 4 and because of this make it possible to wear thicker socks, such as Smartwool ones, as the weather gets colder without feeling as if your feet are crowded in the shoe. I highly recommend these for people who like a more balanced shoe but still want a lot of cushioning. But do not compare them to the Gaviota 4, if that's what you really like, look at the Arahis.

I never thought I would pay so much for a pair of sneakers. As soon as I slipped them on I loved how they felt on my feet.I have flat feet and have struggled for decades trying to find a decent sneaker for walking. ASICS gt2000 were always my go to until my last pair the tread didn't last very long. So decided to give the Gaviota 5 a try. So glad I did.!! I've only had a week and at this point it's the most comfortable I've ever owned. I am worried about how long they will hold up but very impressed so far.

As usual I love my Hokas, I was pretty excited to get the Gaviota 5 on. Super comfortable. I think my Gaviota 4s might have been a little more comfortable but I'm only on day 4 of wearing them, (12hr shift nursing floor) still breaking them in I think. Definitely notice the extra width, my feet are on the wider side anyways so no issues there.

Have been seeing folks wearing Hoka's for a long tine and wondered why so many people wore them. Had some friends recommend and I tried. What a find. Everything is right about them. Will buy again and again.

I like these a lot! I had a regular width Bondi 8 first and by big toe was rubbing against the side and got uncomfortable. But man were they squishy to walk on. It was like I was bouncing around. They didn't have the wide in the Bondi 8 style I wanted to I tried these out. Overall I like them a lot. They take a few days to break in. Not as springy as the Bondi 8.

I ruptured my Achilles almost 4 months ago and have recently transitioned to a shoe and walking again. I purchased these as it said they were the most cushioned. I'm wearing them with heal lifts currently in one show and they are the best. Every time I go to the doctor and physical therapist Im asked how I like them and I always tell them they are the best.

After the glue on the soles came unglued a little on my 3 month old Hokas, with no questions asked, they were replaced super quickly and shipping was covered. I am 100% grateful that Hoka means what they say and say what they mean.

I run, I run a lot. Hoka shoes have kept me running. Before Hoka, I had runner's toe, and very sore feet, almost gave it all up. With Hoka the miles come easy and my dogs are happy afterwards.

I added an after-market arch support to this shoe. I have flat feet and use arch supports in all my athletic shoes. I have been running on the Hoka Gaviota 5 for two weeks, and so far, so good.

I broke my ankle and have a lot of swelling in my foot and ankle. I needed something extra wide to fit my foot. The Hoka fills the bill. Very comfortable and great support

It feels like you are walking on a cushion. I bought this shoe because on the website it said it was the highest level of stability and of plushness. My experience is that Hokas are very comfortable shoes. They are soft underfoot in a way that other shoes aren't. But the previous Hokas I owned weren't that stable. These are quite stable, just like the website promised.

Have been wearing Cliftons since they came out but felt I needed a little more cushion and these fit the bill. They are so comfortable and have more than enough room in the toe area. I have switched over. Bought a second pair.

This is my second pair, I alternate them. Walk every day, my back used to hurt but thanks to these shoes distributing the weight, the arch and keeping you standing up straight it doesn't bother me. The only things I don't like are they are pricey and they are made in China.
