Like everyone, I wanted to love these. Gore Tex, solid foot bed etc. While length was fine, toe box was just a bit narrow. Not a real squeezer, but not comfortable enuf to commit to. Bummer! I do not normally wear a wide size, so these must be made a tad narrow. Maybe that's good for runners - so if the shoe fits, wear it. But, I am a walker and wanted a good solid gortex for wet meadows and the beach. Se' domage...

These shoes are not as comfortable as others I've purchased from store one is tighter than other and can't walk much in them but other hoka shoes I've purchased the toe area comes apart in about 5 months too but there very comfortable shoes depending on which ones you buy

The shoes looks great. The Gore-tex waterproofing is necessary for my job. This pair and the last pair of Hoka's I have tried do not measure up to past shoes from Hoka. The overall comfort leaves my feet hurting at the end of my shift.

Really loved these shoes when in use but they broke down after 2 months of use. It's a shame because they fit well and were great.

My previous Hoka's were Arahi 6 in an 11d. They were the most comfortable sneakers I have ever owned, great fit and a joy to run in.
After reading a number of reviews which highlighted the cushioning and comfort of the Clifton 9GTX I decuded to purchase these in the same exact size. Boy am I dissapointed in the fit. Too snug, not enough cushioning not a joy to wear. In retrospect I should have returned then but thought another 1/2 size larger would be too loose.
In the meatime I'm hoping they will stretch to my feet.

Gore-tex feature attracted me as winter approaches but shoe became larger, clumsier and just plain ugly. the accompanying pair of non-Gortex Clintons suffered from styling problems which caused billowing effect on sides of shoe. Aesthetically it too was a failure but not as bad as the Gore-tex pair which were really large and clumsy as if process of weatherizing them had increased their girth so that they seemed a size larger.

Treads started falling off on one shoe a month after purchase. Hoka refused a return because I glued them back in place so I could get through a job.

I got some Clifton 9 last year around May 2025. They started to peel off by the heal and made it uncomfortable where I can't wear them no more . Keep in mind everything else is in good condition , I'd wear them once or twice a week . I went through the warranty department showed them how in great condition the shoes or an they deny the warranty request

I bought the Clifton for work, which is primarily in a hospital. I noticed after less than a month that the rubber is peeling off the right heel area. I've never had a shoe wear this quick!

As a "waterproof" shoe, this is laughable. No warmth. No wind or water blocking at all.
Super cushy ankle upper just absorbs water and redistributes it inside the shoe.
The height from the footbed to the upper is very deep, creating friction under the lateral malleolus

I purchased these shoes at Dick's Sporting Goods and they were my first pair of Hoka sneakers. Unfortunately and to my surprise, the rubber tiles on the sneaker's soles began to come loose and completely detach within a month of limited use. I would love to give these another try but concerned the same thing will happen again.

This is my 25th pair of HOKA's and I love HOKA but my first "waterproof" shoe from them. These are NOT waterproof. I've worn them 5 times after it has rained and after the 3rd and 4th time my socks were soaked - I thought it was just me. After the 5th time I decided to test them out under a faucet very lightly and sure enough after a few minutes the inside of the shoe was wet. I tested this again, same thing. The lining inside does not keep water out...

I ordered a 1/2 size bigger and these are way too narrow in the toe box a barely give me the room I want. Very uncomfortable-silly menu should have returned them immediately.

Within a month the bottoms were ripping off and ive had to glue them back on. "Waterproof" is a lie. Over all the quality of these compared to a previous pair of clifftons i have owned is downright terrible. Save yourself some the money and find a better shoe

I have had 2 pair of the same exact shoe. Loved the shoe but both times the sole just comes loose and falls off in the same spot. So frustrating because the shoe fits great and I loved it. I would not buy again until they change the sole. It happened the second time only 4 months of having the shoe.

First pair of Hokas I have purchased that hurt my feet. I have purchased at least 6 pairs of Hoaks previously that were all comfortable and fit great. This shoe did not. I returned the purchase because of the problem.

Very disappointed. The sole started coming off after a few months of use. Last time I bought the Bondi 9 and the same thing happened. At least the Bondi lasted a year before all the pieces started coming off the bottom.

I bought this Clifton on 9/15/25 and 3 months in the soles has started to come off. I have been buying from this brand since 2022 and am utterly disappointed with the quality as of now

I've been buying cheap shoes for a while and they last me a year or two but I wanted to try something new so I got these and they didn't even last 5 months the top fabric was ripping off the sole of the shoe then I tried to do the warranty for them and the claimed it was regular wear and tear will not be wasting my money again
