Disappointed with the quality of this jacket. The flannel lining was very light and did not include the sleeves.

Bought this warm-up jacket to replace one I've had for 15 years. NO comparison. This new one is half the weight of the original. The flannel lining is super thin. This is marginally a 3 season jacket. Metal zipper is now plastic. When compared to the old style, the drop in quality is disappointing.
Will most likely be returning.

This garment should be called flannel-look. It is not flannel. It is very thin compared to the fleece lined jacket at the same price. Not worth it. One additional star because the fit was ok.
Disappointed,

Plastic-like shell and extremely thin "flannel" liner. Not worth the money charged and not up to LLBean quality

This jacket was too big and heavy for the weather in Tucson AZ.

In many ways it is a fine jacket, but it has one big design flaw; the jacket does not breathe: after a brisk walk on a cool morning excessive moisture has collected inside it and under whatever layers I have on. The snug closures at the waist and cuffs probably contribute to the ventilation problem, but the prime suspect may be the shell and its waterproofing. It sheds water beautifully, but it also shuts in too much body moisture. Sorry I can't be more positive! I am otherwise a big fan of your products.

Size is small and tight. Quality is sub par for the price!

I purchased this jacket about 2 years ago to replace a Bean Warm-up Jacket I had worn for over 30 years. While the new jacket is very similar to the old jacket in many respects, the new jacket now has a cheap nylon shell that crackles like cheap plastic when the temps drop into the 20s or below. The old jacket used supplex nylon that remained soft and supple no matter how cold it was outside, but also repelled wind and rain. I am very disappointed with this jacket. This is the first product that I have purchased from Bean that was truly disappointing. Come on Bean you can do better than this.

The lining is very, very thin. Not at all like other LL Bean flannels. The fit was fine and it seemed like a reasonable windbreaker, but the lining was just so thin it was not warm and comforting. I returned it.

I was looking for a Fall jacket; however, the coat material was surprisingly thin - hardly a half-step up from a good flannel shirt. Probably fitting for some climes, but I live in the mountains of Western Montana.

This is a nice mid weight jacket. The problem for me is the material. It's a waterproof type material and makes a swishing noise when walking or when the material rubs against itself. I returned it.

I bought this jacket to wear during our recent trip to Alaska. I like the size, the liner, and the fit. I don't like the way the collar is made and nothing I've tried has improved it. Unless zipped all the way up, it has the look of an old leisure suit jacket lapel. And one side hangs lower than the other adding to the ugly look. I'm disappointed.

Was purchasing to replace older LL Bean warm up jacket. Comfortable, smart stying, but not warm at all. The flannel jacket does not have insulation. The fleece lined warm up jacket is insulated. I traded up, received the fleece lined jacket and am 5 star happy with it. This flannel jacket is a wonderful windbreaker.

Although the jacket fit nicely, the material was very noisy. It crackled and just made a lot of noise when walking.

We had to return it because the lining was too thin for mild winters. My husband didn't like the feeling of the material. However, I must say we are seniors and he is on the very conservative side. I don't want others to get the impression that LLBean products are made of lower quality material, it was more a matter of taste.

I have purchased these 'warm-up' jackets for 20 years (I've had 4) and never had trouble with 'the size I ordered, except now, w/in the last decade. However, those were made in USA and ran true to size. Now everything is purchased / made overseas (a different country all the time) and nothing seems to fit. The last time I ended up with an x-large and it was too big, so this time I bought large and it was too small across the chest. I'm sure that I can speak for most people when I say having to return an item (especially by mail) is an added nuisance. If LL Bean can't have their product line made to fit us here, there's no reason to order their clothes.

The flannel lined jacket is much lighter weight than the older fleece version that I have. I returned it.

I do not like the coat. It is lightweight. I wanted a lined mud weight jacket. The SD is eeves do not have a lining. The other material is like plastic. In wanted a cotton outer material.
I want to return it if I can.
Definitely no to what I wanted.

LL Bean's fleece-lined warm-up jackets are my go-to winter jackets. The nylon shell keeps out the wind, and the fleece lining provides real warmth but still breathes out the moisture. I wanted something similar but lighter for outdoor work in fall weather. Since LL Bean is known for its wonderful flannel shirts, I thought the flannel in this jacket would be the same. I was surprised how thin and plasticky the flannel felt when I unpacked the jacket but thought it would fluff out in the wash. It didn't. The flannel remained crinkly and cloying and doesn't let the jacket breathe at all. I couldn't stand wearing the jacket and ended up donating it to a clothes drop in the hopes that it will suit someone who doesn't know what real LL Bean flannel feels like.

The jacket feels like plastic wrap and there is no flannel. Just a coarse piece of printed cloth.
LLB should be ashamed of themselves.

Light weight jacket more like a wind breaker with thin flannel lining. The deal breaker for my husband was the stiff-as-cardboard stand up collar that won't lay down.

No Flannel involved in this product except in the description, some synthetic fabric lining.
