Likes:
Super durable Continental rubber outsole, currently have 130+ miles on the shoes and they have very minimal wear. I have other shoes on rotation with similar miles showing more outsole wear. Grip is excellent too, the Boston 12s are my go to pair for when it rains, I've gotten caught up in spring and summer downpour rains and had plenty of grip, since the upper has that plastic/synthetic construction it dries fast, and the shoes don't feel as heavy when wet. I use them from 5k to 10mi runs, easy, tempo, and some speed workouts. They run long, half a size or a whole size down depending on your feet shape. I recommend trying them out in store. I have them in the black with white stripes color-way, so this is my default one pair travel shoe. It can be a do it all pair.
Dislikes:
What a long break in period, it took about 40 miles to when they started to feel great and both the lightstrike pro and lightstrike 2.0 softened up and I could feel the bounce. I'm on the lighter side, so maybe it takes less miles with a greater load. The upper is not stretchy and can rub near the knuckle of the big thumb, a good pair of socks solves this. The lacing system is just too cumbersome, it adds too much pressure to the upper of your feet as you put in the miles, I had to keep readjusting the laces mid runs. I ended up cutting the loop section and making new holes for eyelets, I also use a runners loop to keep the heel locked in place and haven't looked back.
I'm happy to see that the new version has the lacing fixed, I look forward to give them a try once the continental outsole wears out in the 12s, could be a while ;-)
All in all, great pair, just make it past the break in period and they feel great as you put in the miles, the grippy continental rubber and the lightstrike pro/2.0 are a great combination.

other than the non traditional upper of this shoe everything in this shoe is very good.
the shoe might require 60-70 km break in run for some runners .
the dual midsole of light strike pro and light strike 2.0 does a fabulous job.
the outsole continental grip is above average ,though I find the outsole grip of Adidas Adizero SL 2 better than this.
Once the shoe crosses the break distance it makes the runs effortless .It is firm midsole combination.

Great looking shoe and felt really bouncy when tried at the store. When I walk for long distances more than 5-6kms it causes heel discomfort. Also there is hardly any cushioning around the rim making it uncomfortable rubbing against the ankle. I'll go back to the ultraboost.

As a recreational runner, I've really enjoyed using the Adios Boston 12 for tempo runs, Fartleks, and intervals. The shoe handles faster paces well and feels stable, thanks to the subtle arch support a nice touch that adds a bit more structure compared to other speed shoes I've tried.
The upper is breathable, fits well, and looks great too. That said, the midsole is on the firmer side, which makes it less forgiving on slower recovery runs or long Z2 efforts.
Overall, it's a solid performer for speed sessions, but I'd personally prefer a slightly softer ride for versatility. Still, a great option for faster training days.

a bit too big as I wear a US8 normally but my toes were swimming, ordered a 7 bc 7.5 was sold out due to sale. 7 feel tight around the top mid foot section. idk if I'm coping, but its been working so far

Only 30 miles in but this will be a workhorse for my current training block. The complaints I read about the upper and lacing system are valid. It does take some getting used to. Looking forward to putting a lot more miles on these.

Just my initial impression since I've only had them for 2 weeks - fairly comfortable to wear and works great for slow runs and intervals, but my knees hurt after longer and faster runs, perhaps my knees are too accustomed to Nitrogen infused foam and will take a while to get used to the EnergyRods. I bought it for rotation and will keep using it for walking as well as my shorter and slower runs as well as interval training. Design wise, the shoe looks great on the outside, but the adidas logo inside the shoe peeled off after 2 runs, the lining inside also makes me feel like there's something stuck in my shoe at times but no big deal here.

Good shoe for working with foot strength. Using it along with proper strength training to get feet stronger for race day shoes.

Despite measuring my foot and cross-referencing with the size guide, they turned out to be much too large, which was quite frustrating.
On the fit, there's a very large toe box. While the overall feel seemed like it would be comfortable for running, the thin tongue was noticeable. Design-wise, they do have a distinct retro aesthetic.

Purchased to replace my Adizero 8 after the energy rod snapped and went through the shoe, sock and foot. Using only for training and they certainly feel much heavier and slower than my 8. Size 10.5 was ideal as are all my Adizero shoes except the 9. Had to purchase from another retailer to get a better price though.

These are definitely on the big size , they are very clunky , ugly even when you look down at them on your feet . Have taken 3 good 10kms to get used to and need to wear two pairs of socks as the material is sharp . Wouldn't recommend for the price .

I've run in these for about 500km. They have held up very well. they lose a start because the sizing was off and they don't snug into the foot well.
