The only shoes that have ever made me cry! Ha-ha! I purchased these shoes at a local shoe store about 4 1/2 years ago (and paid more 4 1/2 years ago than I did at an online store 4 1/2 minutes ago!---thank you Zappos.com!) on my way to work after shoes I had been wearing completely fell apart after about 6 months. My Eastland’s are still as comfortable as they were they day that I bought them. The soles still look like they've never been worn. They only reason I'm replacing them is because I wore a hole in the leather. I've never worn a shoe that is as comfortable as this one. After nearly 5 years of between 9 and 16 hours a day on my feet, they finally have to be retired. I am a bartender and a prep cook and I need these shoes to make it through the day and still be feeling good on my feet half way through the night too! When I finally decided the hole I had worn through the leather was big enough and it was time to buy new ones, I was crushed to find that the store I had bought my old ones at no longer carried them. So, I honestly cried at the thought of wearing different shoes. I searched many department stores and shoe stores only to find that NOBODY carries these shoes! When a co-worker suggested Zappos.com, I searched the website and here they are! I really did cry again when I found them! I'll admit that these are not the most attractive shoes. They are, however, the only shoes that I've ever forgotten to take off when I come home because they're so comfortable that I don't even remember they're on my feet sometimes! I strongly recommend these to anyone who works on their feet all day or even to someone who just wants a super comfy shoe!!! Trust me...you'll cry too when you feel how comfortable they are, and then I won't be the only crazy lady who cries over shoes! :)

Great comfort shoe! I really LOVE this shoe. It's incredibly comfortable. I have never had a more comfortable, everyday shoe. I am able to walk long distances in them, despite my usual foot problems.

Great shoe tight fit - I purchased this same shoe over a year ago. They were my favorite pair. Comfortable and good looking for most casual wear. However, when I ordered the same size this year, they were too small. Perhaps I stretched out the old pair, but they did fit when I purchased them and fit when I got rid of them. I would have worn them forever, but shoes do were out. Now I am waiting for the next size to be available!

I have used this shoe for years. I have to be on my feet all day long and they are so comfortable. They also come on wide width which is what I need. They also are nice looking so when I go to trips I do not need to take extra shoes if my overall schedule is casual.

Very Comfortable Shoe - This shoe fits great and is very comfortable. They fit a lot like slippers. I have a slightly wide foot, high arch and narrow heels and these fit great on all counts. The double goring and high on the instep padded top really hold your foot.Its fit reminded me of Timberland's Earhart shoe which unfortunately they do not make any more. I will definitely buy another pair in the future in 7W. Please keep selling the Newport for a long time.

Excellent casual shoe - Looks great with jeans. Comfortable to walk in all day. I have wide feet and these felt great!

Life "Foot" Saver - I have worn this shoe for several years for work; we have to have black leather. This has been the most comfortable shoe I can find. I work in a grocery store and I'm on my feet all day. I cannot find this shoe in any stores anymore and wasted over $100 on two other brands and sore feet. I found Zappos on a Google search. I placed my order and it was here in less than three days!! I am very pleased with the service. Please don't drop this shoe from your selection. Thank you, MH Hardman

love these shoes - I am on my feet all day at work and these shoes are great! They are comfortable and durable and have nice support. Sure, they're not the prettiest but they make up for it in comfort.

Cute shoe, but felt short & tight on my foot.

These were comfortable but just too short for my feet. I usually wear an 11 but I have a different style of Eastland shoes and a 10 fit so I got it in this style but it ended up being too short.

Little too snug to wear with socks. Side of Big toe rubbing on side of shoe.

The size 11W were unfortunately a smidge too long for my 10.5 feet. The width was great for my wide toe box. My narrow heel slipped out the back. Seems like a good sturdy shoe and looks nice.

This is a very casual shoe but I would have loved it if it had fit. It is well-made and I like the color brown. It's a big shoe visually and physically. I am returning because it is too big.

Tight at first till broke in. Wore this shoe every day for almost a year till the sole cracked from side to side and started pinching the bottom of my feet each time I would take a step. I have bought Eastlands for over 10 years and wore every pair to its final days but was disappointed when this pair did not last a full year.

I had a pair of Eastland Newports for close to a decade if not longer. Wore them almost every single day for several years. Unfortunately the bottom split from the top about 2 months ago. I actually teared a little. Now I can't find them anymore and I'm very disappointed. My right foot has problems and these were one of the few shoes I could wear with anything and my foot not hurt.

Love these shoes and just received 2 new pair of them one medium width and one wide width. My older pair were 7 E and felt as though they were a bit wide. Long story short these shoes, regardless of the medium or the wide, are both much narrower than in the past. In addition, when I matched them against my current pair of 7's the new shoes are not as long about 1/2 inch shorter in length. Last, but not least the sole does not as flexible as in the past. Feels like hard rubber - might be just my old ones are worn in. Sorry Zappos - both are being sent back and not sure what size to order now and maybe 7.5 wide? Why do companies, Eastland, have to change a great thing.

I love these shoes! They're not super stylish (Eastland, please make a model that has the same support but it more stylish) but they're so comfortable and supportive I wear them instead of sneakers for long walks, etc. The only negative is that the sole split on me (cracked right across the front half) after less than a year's use. I wear them a lot, so maybe that's unreasonable, but it's not repairable -- so that's a disappointment.

B+ comfortable for urban walking. A bit narrow for a wide foot. a bit utilitarian, less fashionable. light weight.

Great shoes. Great to walk in. Only problem I have is the shoe is easy to scuff.
